Chapter 10: Everything Changes
15 minutes later
I was at Lauren's house waiting for her to bring me to my new foster home.
"Your back", announced Damon.
"Yeah", I said.
"What's in the box?" asked Damon.
"Nothing important, where is Lauren?" I asked.
"When Zari and I were arguing she said she was going to someone named Joe", said Damon.
"Where is Zari?" I asked.
"She's with Sabrina at her house," said Damon.
"I don't know where joe lives, so how am I going to find out?" I asked.
"I don't know, my mom never told me or Zari where Joe lives", said Damon.
"I wish I was at Joe's house", I said.
Poof!
"Where are we?" I asked.
"I don't know", said Damon.
"Wait did you hear that?" I asked.
"Hear what", I said.
"I can't bother with the elders and the bureau", said Lauren.
"I think it's Lauren speaking but where is she", I said.
"It sounds like it's coming from that way", explained Damon as he pointed to the left.
So we walked to the left when we walked to the left it's our surprise to find Lauren talking to a fat and short man.
Mom shouted Damon.
"Damon, Victoria what are you doing here?" asked Lauren.
"We should be asking you the same question", said Damon.
"What?" asked Lauren.
"What are you doing here with this man?" asked Damon.
"This man is my friend Joe, the owner of the cafe caśion upstairs", said Lauren.
"What?" asked Damon.
"Uh Lauren, Damon and I are wondering well I'm wondering isn't it time for you to take me to my foster home", I said.
"Oh yes it is time", said Lauren.
"So you've been here the whole time?" asked Damon.
"Yes anyways I'm heading out Joe talk to you soon", said Lauren.
I shook Joe's hand and said nice to meet you Joe.
But then Damon grabbed my hands.
"I think that man is bad news", whispered Damon
"You're just being paranoid because you saw your mother with a man", I said.
"No I'm not being paranoid, there is something weird about him", said Damon.
"Is it because he's shorter than you", I said.
"No", said Damon.
"You think Joe is weird didn't you see what I did by just waving my hands and you think Joe is weird", I said.
"Okay okay your weird", laughed Damon.
"Whatever Scott", I said.
"Are you guys done talking now", said Lauren.
"Uh", I said.
"I mean you guys have been talking from Joe's place to the house", said Lauren
"We have", said Damon.
"Are you blind Damon, don't you see that we're at the house", I said.
"Victoria let's just get your things in the car", said Lauren.
"Why didn't you drive your car over to Joe instead of walking", I said.
"I wanted to clear my head and I also wanted to walk", said Lauren.
"Ugh, can we just go", said Damon.
"Wait, you're coming with us?" I asked.
"Of course I'm coming", said Damon.
"No your not", said Lauren.
"But mom", said Damon.
"No! you're staying home, you've to clean out your room, your room is so disorganized and messy I don't know how you find anything in there", said Lauren.
"Mom please, I can tidy my room later", said Damon.
"You're staying home and you're tidying your room end of story", said Lauren.
"Bye Damon, may we meet again", I said.
"Bye Victoria", said Damon.
"Let's go", said Lauren.
I went in the car and as I went in the car Lauren started to drive.
"Are you scared?" Asked Lauren.
"Scared no, but nervous yes", I said.
"Oh honey you got nothing to be nervous about", said Lauren.
"Really cause I think I've got a lot to be nervous about, cause they might not like me, they might not like the way I dress, so I think I should be at least a little bit nervous", I said.
"Ha ha ha", laughed Lauren.
"Honey your great just the way you are, they're gonna love you", said Lauren.
"What's wrong?" asked Lauren.
"You sound like my mom a while ago", I said.
"Oh I'm sorry", said Lauren.
"Oh no it's okay you just remind me of her that all", I said.
"Victoria you remind me every day of your mother", said Lauren.
"Thanks", I smiled.
"Were here", said Lauren.
"This is where my foster parents live", I said.
"Yes", said Lauren.
"Their house is beautiful and big", I said.
"Oh I forgot to mention that they have a daughter and she's about your age", said Lauren.
"Why didn't you tell me they have a daughter?" I asked.
"I just said I forgot to mention it", said Lauren.
"It's alright", I said.
"Let's go meet your first new foster parents", said Lauren.
"Don't forget my first new sister", I said.
"Yeah", said Lauren.
Lauren and I walked up to the front door of my new foster parent's house. We knocked on the door twice and waited for someone to answer. The doorknob started to unlock. After it was unlocked a woman opened the door. The woman that opened the door had short, curly, brunette hair and green eyes. She was wearing a black pencil skirt with a blue silk blouse with long sleeves.
"Hi you must be Victoria, I'm Elizabeth your new mother", said the woman.
"Nice to meet you Elizabeth", I said.
"Good Evening Lauren nice to see you again", said Elizabeth.
"Good evening to you too Elizabeth", said Lauren.
"Come on in", said Elizabeth.
Chris, Sofia yelled Elizabeth.
Yes, mom said a teenage girl with long wavy, brunette hair. The teenage girl had on a blouse that said "Rock and Roll" and black jeans and her eyes were green.
"Elizabeth why are you yelling", said a tall man.
The tall man had black hair and was wearing a blue suit with a black tie.
"Victoria is here", said Elizabeth.
"Who's Victoria again", said the tall man.
"The girl that the foster system placed us with," said Elizabeth.
"Hi I'm Victoria", I said with a smile.
"I'm Chris your new father", announced Chris.
"This is Sofia, Chris and I daughter", said Elizabeth.
"Nice to meet you all", I said.
"So what your like my sister now", said Sofia.
"I guess I am your sister now", I said.
"Well you can forget it I don't need a sister, so you can go back where you came from", said Sofia angrily.
"Stop it Sofia", said Elizabeth.
"I'm gonna go now, are you going to be okay?" asked Lauren.
"Yeah thank you for all you have done for me", I said.
"You're welcome honey bye", said Lauren.
"Bye Lauren", said Elizabeth.
"Take good care of her", said Lauren.
Before Lauren left she gave me my suitcases and said "if you need anything call me okay".
"Let's show you to your room", said Elizabeth.
5 minutes later
"This is your room, do you like it?" asked Elizabeth.
"Um it's okay", I said.
