Chapter 113: Side Story 1 - Day Off
---Three Days Later---
Having completely recovered from that wild party with Clark and company, the women were back at it working hard around the settlement. With no real pressing matters to attend to at the moment, I decided to take a day for myself to relax. It wasn't always going to be this peaceful so it was better to enjoy it while it lasted...especially with kids on the way.
Sitting on the recently finished pier, I was focusing my attention on fishing. It was one of my favorite things to do alone as I could nap all day while the lure did it's thing. Casting the line far out to sea, I notched it into a reel holder and attached a bell so I could hear when a fish snatched it. Casting a total of three lines out, I kicked back and let out a sigh of relief.
"I could get used to doing this.", I chuckled to myself listening to the peaceful sound of the waves crashing onto the beach, "Alaska really is breath taking."
Closing my eyes, I was about to drift off for a nap when a familiar voice shouted something terrible.
"EXPLOSION!!!", Megumin shouted at the top of her lungs.
Opening my eyes in a hurry, I saw the spell start to form over the ocean. Glancing to my right I saw Oriha and Megumin on the beach staring at the formation with big grins on their faces. Standing up I snapped my fingers and cancelled the spell before it detonated and caused a tidal wave. Standing for only a few moments, Megumin collapsed next Oriha who thought she died. Going to run for help, Megumin told her it was fine and that she could only use the spell once a day. Stating that she couldn't move afterwards as it exceeded her magic capacity, Oriha looked at her like she was an idiot.
"Seriously!?", Oriha tsked with annoyance, "Why would you do that!! What if you were surrounded by enemies?"
"I have been eaten by Giant Frogs several times...", Megumin admitted to her.
"What the hell do you both thing you are doing!?", I asked walking over to them, "You can't use something that powerful so close to the settlement. The explosion could cause a tidal wave, and ruin everyone's hard work. Also, weren't both of you supposed to be at the range testing weapons today?"
"I can't help it!! If I don't release this pent up magic once a day, something terrible will happen!", Megumin said pretending that a tragedy would befall us all.
"Megumin...I know nothing will happen.", I sighed with a smirk, "If you damage any property in town, I am going to exact payment from you. Just ask Oriha how expensive it can be."
"No!! I am a Crimson Eyed Demon, my powers can't be contained!!", Megumin shouted loudly.
"You really shouldn't use the word Demon around Victor.", Oriha snickered backing away.
Shaking my head, I pulled out the BFG and pointed it at her.
"If you really are a Demon...I will have to get rid of you.", I stated with a cold expression.
"EEK!!!", she screamed, "I AM HUMAN!!! I AM HUMAN!!!"
"Oh, I am glad to hear it.", I replied trying not to laugh.
"Don't beat her up too much.", Oriha said, "Come on Megumin, we got to go to work. We are on weapon's testing duty today, and we have some guns and explosives to test. Both of us can vent there without having to worry."
"It sounds like a wonderful place!!", Megumin said, "...could you carry me there?"
Looking at me, Oriha stated I should do it since she was pregnant. Telling her that it would be fine since she was still very early on, but she said I shouldn't make a woman do the heavy lifting. Taking that offensively, Megumin stated that she wasn't fat and told her to apologize. Since I wanted peace and quiet, I agreed to carry her to the gun range where Rika and others were testing equipment. Leaving Megumin with them, I started to return to the pier.
"By the way, what is the price Victor was talking about?", Megumin asked Oriha.
Hearing the women snicker, they said that the price was a rough night in bed. Oblivious to what that meant she asked for details. Glancing back, I saw Megumin's face turn bright red as she looked away from me. How she didn't know what that meant after living in a house with Kazuma and Darkness I will never know.
"Ugh...I can't believe I agreed to let Megumin, Darkness, and Wiz come here...", I mumbled, "Aqua went and did her own thing so at least I dodged that bullet. I'd have pulled my hair out if she was here."
Kazuma and his colleagues found out that not all women will shriek and tremble when perverted things happen to them. They discovered that Kryptonian woman especially don't take kindly to that, and are now deader than a doorknob. All of them were mercilessly killed by the horde of women that chased after them. With nowhere else to go, those three women came here and now pestered me.
Taking a seat again on the pier, I made sure no one was around before kicking back. Closing my eyes again, I let out a long sigh as I settled in. Getting about five minutes of peace, I heard someone walking over towards me.
"Victor...can I get your help?", Shizuka asked, "We need some help moving some boxes around."
"Isn't Faora or one of her colleagues free?", I questioned looking back at my beautiful wife.
"No, they are all out on patrol.", Shizuka replied, "Also, Wiz bought some more useless things..."
Getting up, I walked over to the Clinic I saw the crates of medical supplies Clark dropped off for us. I was grateful for the supplies, but I wish they were in a more manageable size. His deliveries were always in crates so it limited the number of people that could move them safely. Asking her where she wanted it, she told me to take it to the store room. With a snap of my fingers I teleported the items to the Store Room and restocked everything for her.
"Thank you dear.", Shizuka giggled giving me a kiss on the cheek, "Now about Wiz..."
Giving her a kiss back, I said I would speak with her this evening. Promising to thank me further this evening, I said I would look forward to my reward. Playfully smacking her on the butt she giggled as she walked into the Clinic to inventory everything.
'Actually...I wonder what she bought?', I thought walking into the house, "Wiz, where are-"
Stopping what I was saying, I saw Darkness standing in the living room wearing Delva's skimpy outfit. Blinking several times to make sure I wasn't seeing things, she shrieked and covered herself up.
"Don't look at me!", she said in a non-convincing tone.
"Why are you wearing that outfit?", I asked.
"I...I...I wanted to...to experience...", she panted with a shiver.
"You realize they don't wear it to be an exhibitionist right?", I remarked, "If you are telling me to bend you over, you need to only ask."
Shivering she ran off because it was too much even for her. Chuckling at her, the Elves said they thought it was funny she was even tried them on. Asking where Wiz was, they pointed to the guest room. Walking down the hall, I found Wiz holding a a fidget spinner and Flex Tape.
"Victor!! Did you know about these things?", Wiz said, "This tape is so good you can use it to put a boat back together!"
'Oh dear...', I thought, 'No more Shopping Channel for Wiz.'
Asking her how many things she bought, she pointed to several boxes in the corner of the room. Wiz wanted to open a store here and be a merchant, but she didn't have the skillset for it. She was too gullible and pure to be a merchant, see almost got talked into joining the brothel that was opening in the settlement. The owner said she could be a bartender, but Wiz didn't realize how skimpy the clothing would be.
"What do you think? Do you think they are good items?", she asked me, "I think they will sell nicely!"
"Have you pitched your ideas to Saya and Yuriko?", I questioned.
"...they said I should pick another line of work.", she whimpered.
Realizing that is something they would say, I said she should focus on food items. Reminding her that people aren't going to spend a lot of luxury items like that, I said she should make food and sell it.
"Oh!!", Wiz said, "I think I can do that, can I borrow the kitchen? My cookies are really good, everyone in the Demon Lord's Castle said so!"
Saying she could, I made her swear not to buy anymore items without asking me. Agreeing to that, she ran to the kitchen to start baking. Heading back out to the pier myself, I found Ilulu, Zero Two, and Lucy holding the fishing reels. Seeing that they had snagged some fish the three of them were fighting the fish as they reeled them in.
"Come to me fishies!!", Ilulu shouted, "I want fish tonight!"
"I bet mine is bigger!", Zero Two said trying not to get pulled off the pier.
"No, mine is the biggest!", Lucy refuted.
Suddenly the reels jerked forward, and girls almost went over the edge with them. Grabbing them, I pulled them back and got them buckled in to the seats. Thanking me, the three of them asked how big the fish they had were. Checking my map, it appeared that two of them were halibut and one was actually a Great White Shark. Telling them that they had caught really big fish, the three of them continued to reel in their catch.
---Two Hours Later---
After a very long struggle, the three of them managed to pull them. The Halibut were about four hundred pounds each, and the shark was over a thousand pounds.
"Take a picture!!", Ilulu shouted at me as the three of them stood next to their haul.
Getting a camera, three of them smiled brightly as I took their picture. Taking their photos, they immediately wanted to see them. Showing them the pictures, I smiled as they laughed with delight. My day wasn't going like I planned but that was alright, the important thing was that I was having fun.
"Alright, how about we cook some of the fish up?", I asked.
Voicing their agreement, we cut off portions of the fish and put the rest in my storage. Carrying the portions into the house, I found the Elves passed out on the ground and Wiz running around in a panic. Using magic to wake them up, Evelyn looked at Wiz with concern.
"You can't make cookies...", she told her, "They were poisonous."
"What!?", Wiz shrieked.
"What did you put in them?", I asked.
"I follow my mother's recipe.", Wiz replied showing me the sheet of paper.
Taking one look at it, I lightly chopped her head. Stating that these cookies were meant for Undead, I said that they were poisonous to living people. Falling to the ground in defeat, Wiz was on the verge of tears at this point. I don't know why she was so insistent on selling things, but I didn't like seeing her this way.
"Come on, I will show you how to cook for living people.", I chuckled helping her up, "Ilulu please get the aprons, Lucy get the knives, and Zero Two get the cutting boards."
Doing as I asked, I helped them tie the aprons properly around them. Providing guidance to the four of them as we prepped the fish, Ilulu gave Wiz pointers with a proud smile.
"You need to make a kitty paw!", Ilulu showed her.
"I see...I usually don't do that, but ok.", Wiz said.
Showing her the proper way to cut, Wiz seemed to be getting the hang of things quickly. When she got stuck on something, I would hold her hands and show her how to do it. I could feel she got jumpy when I held her hands, but she did her best to focus on the job at hand. Unlike Kazuma, I was taking this slowly as Wiz needed to be won over slowly. She was innocent like Shizuka, and didn't have a Rika to help push her into the naughty things. It would take some time, but the thought of having Shizuka and Wiz together in bed...that was a reward well worth my patience.
Once everything was portioned out, we seasoned the meat and put it in the oven to cook. Waiting for the meat to get to the right temperature, I took a seat at the table to wait. Sitting on my lap, Ilulu watched the meat slowly cook while trying not to drool. Playing some Uno to pass the time, slowly everyone started to come home for the day. Seeing their exhausted looks, I got them refreshments and something to snack on while dinner was cooking.
"Is this how he normally is?", one of Faora's colleagues asked.
"Yes, I have observed this frequently.", Faora replied, "From what I understand, it helps persuade the women to sleep with him."
Ignoring that comment, as it was part of the reason, I made several side dishes with Saori, Kikyo, and others to go with the meal. Playfully brushing up against them as I moved around, they smiled and played along with it.
"Dinner is ready.", Namiyo shouted, "Come sit at the table."
Doing as she said, everyone gathered around and started to eat. Sitting in silence listening to their conversations, I was happy things were going well for us.
