Chapter 10: Chapter 9: Grilled Orc
The twins came back from the hunting and realize that they don't have any cooking equipment. Riley turn to Wylie and said that they don't have equipment for cooking.
"Uhm, Wy, We don't have equipment for cooking!"
"Hmm, then I'll make one"
"I'll make... some grilled orc for today so... just create a Grill Basket, Charcoals, Tongs, and Pitt Mit"
"That's all?"
"Yeah, you can make the furniture, tools, and equipment tomorrow or if you have time"
"Okay! I'll repair this rundown house and put some furniture, tools, and equipment needed. This empty and dusty house is hurting my eyes"
Wylie nodded and started rumbling. I chuckle when I heard his last sentence. Wylie is what you call a neat freak so seeing this rundown, empty and dusty house is probably making him uncomfortable. He is probably itching to clean this house.
"Ohh, Right! Please also create a knife! I don't want to use my sword"
"Haha~ Got it!"
Wylie cleared his throat and close his eyes to visualize the image of what he was going to create better.
"[Create: Grill Basket]"
"[Create: Charcoals]"
"[Create: Tongs]"

Wylie creates an object one after another.
"Are your mana okay? Didn't you say that your magic creation consumes too much mana?" I ask Wylie. I'm sure he's fine since he had a large MP reserve just like mine but I ask just to be sure.
"Yeah, I'm fine. This is nothing compared to the time I'm making your sword and my passive skill [Steady Mana Recovery] also helps!" Wylie said nonchalantly.
Wylie had no problem spending his MP. He has so much Mana/MP reserve and most common spells cost 10-50. Intermediate Spells cost 50-100 and high-level spells in the book range to 100-500MP cost even Riley who is a swordswoman can last a day using many high-level spells due to the abnormally large Mana Capacity.
When I still don't have the Skill [Steady Mana Recovery]. My MP would recover 3 points every minute. So, I assume it is the same for Riley, even though slow compared to my mana recovery now. It is still very beneficial. They weren't aware of the fact that recovering 3 points every 1 minute is considered abnormally fast by the standards of this world.
Normally, a mage's mana will recover 3 points every 5 minutes and a high-level magician's mana will recover 1 point every minute.
Their existence is just out of the world, out of common sense.
Anyway, Riley store all the tools and equipment Wylie create and goes outside, and set up the things needed for grilling.
Once she was in the backyard where they train a few hours ago. Riley began taking out the tools and equipment and notice that she won't have a grilling stand, table, and plate.
Riley looks towards Wylie who is sitting in the log 3 meters away from her and smiles wryly.
"Uhm-Wy, Can you create a Grilling stand, a folding table, and a plate?"
Wylie didn't say anything and create it. He created a grilling stand that has an extension that can serve as a table and also a folding table and chair just like I ask him to.
Golden particle lights emerge and form the grilling stand. Wylie proceeds to create 4 plates, 1 bowl, and 2 glasses.
When the preparation was done. Riley process the orc meat in her storage. Riley doesn't know how but it works in that way. She didn't bother to understand how it happens.
When she took out the orc, it looks just like nothing but a lump of meat. She sliced the orc into a rectangular prism. It is not an accurate rectangle but, it is close to something like that.
Riley also took other ingredients and she began cooking. First, she rubs the orc meat with tbsp oil; season generously with salt and pepper. She let it rest for 30 minutes. She forgot to prepare it beforehand.
Riley joined Wylie who is sitting in the log staring into space with his hand on his chin. Riley tilted her head and ask.
"What are you doing?"
"Hmm? Checking the other function of the system. You? Shouldn't you supposed be cooking?"
"I am! I just need to let it rest for 30 minutes"
Wylie just nodded. He knew nothing about cooking so he could only nod. He also believes Riley since Riley was once the best chief in the world.
Riley had nothing to do. So, she decided to check the system.
The system is just like those novels. It showed our Personal Information, Skills, and Strengths in numerical value but in our case, there is no such thing as attribute points and leveling up.
Anyway, lets not talk about that. What I want to see is the quest and maybe if this system has another function. I open the system, the system indeed has another function. The [Quest] [Daily Spin] and [Shop].
First, let's click the quest as I am curious about it. We didn't take any quest so it seems like we just subconsciously meet the requirements to complete the quest. The Quest has two categories. The [Personal Quest] and the [Shared Quest].
The [Personal Quest] has a quest that is only made for me and also the reward is mine alone. Wylie also won't be notified if I finish this task and the [Shared Quest] is a quest that both Wylie and I should do and the rewards are also shared and the same.
Next is the shop. The Shop is divided into 5 Categories: [Skill Section][Beast Eggs][Weapons] [Potions & Pills] and [Furnitures & Devices]. They can also buy Gold Coins in this world by using 'Points' from the system.
Remember the reward that has [P] in the previous chapter when we cleared the quest? Yeah, that's the one we needed to buy things in the shop.
The Skill Section Category, just like the name suggests. It is a section where you can buy and learn skills. The points cost range from 200,000-500,000P.
Next is the Beast Eggs. The Beast Eggs Category is where you can buy eggs, from Monster-Beast Eggs. When you buy an Egg, the Monster/Beast would automatically be your pet and is loyal to you as it will recognize you as its mother. You can find any Eggs in the shop from Common-Legendary Eggs Beast Monster. The Points needed varied from their rarity.
Then, there is a weapon section. I'm sure you know what kind of product is in Weapon Shop Category.
The Potions and Pills. This Category of the Shop contains potions from healing, recovery, poison, etc.
Lastly is the Furniture and Devices, this Category contains furniture, daily necessities, devices, and such. It didn't only limit into this world but also to the world we've previously been reborn in meaning that you can also buy a smartphone from Earth, a flying car from Tyrell, or a Conceal Cloak from Clachas.
Then there is also the [Daily Spin]. I assume that it is just like those in-game that I played on Earth. I'm sure you know what it is. You guys are smart after all.
Riley keeps checking the System to pass time and before she notices it, a bell-like alarm sounded in her head. Yeah, there is also an Alarm/ Timer Function in the system but I won't explain it deeper than that.
— 30 Minutes Later —
Riley stand up and began preparing the grill and asks Wylie to light up the charcoal. This is the moment that Riley wishes she had a fire attribute. Anyway, Wylie set the heat into medium high-heat, and Riley oil the grill grate with a brush. Don't ask where she got the brush because you already know where.
Riley grilled the orc meat into the desired doneness. She waits for at least 5-7 minutes per side with the heat of medium-high. She let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
Riley takes out the herbs called parsley and asks Wylie to make a dry cheese on earth called Parmesan and lemon juice.
Riley began to toss the parsley, Parmesan, lemon juice, and the remaining 1 Tbsp. oil in a medium bowl; season with salt, pepper, and more lemon juice and Done...
Wylie already set up the table and a chair. All that's left is to serve the food. Riley topped the grilled orc steak with parsley-parmesan salad.
When Riley looks at the table. There is already a plate with rice and all that's left is for the main dish to be served. I don't even see Riley make the rice so I could only wonder where did he get it.
"Grilled Orc Steak topped with parsley-parmesan salad coming right up," Riley said in a joking manner as she serve the food.
Wylie made a countermeasure and put a protective barrier in the open field and house while Riley is cooking. The barrier can block the smell and prevent unauthorized visitors from entering. He made sure to make this as to not attract troublesome monsters while eating. It is only temporary and he will probably make a permanent barrier tomorrow.
Riley serves the food and the twins peacefully eat while talking about some random matters and their plans
Just like that their first day in the world has come to an end.
