Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Wishes
In the pitch black void where usually nothing could be seen or even exist had an unusual circumstance this day. A wisp of light was floating through the endless void blindingly and uncaringly as if everything was normal. However this unusual occurrence was noticed by someone.
"Hmmm...interesting" mumbled the unknown entity
With an amused smirk it waved its hand as both the wisp of light and it vanished

A young man was lying unconscious on a patch of grass as his eyes flickered
"Ughhhh" he groaned as he felt the discomfort throughout his body
He opened his eyes and sat up and looked around. He saw only hills and plains of grass as far as his vision went, without any hint of trees.
"Where the hell am I?....ah!!"mumbled to himself as he recounted his final moments. He chuckled helplessly.
"So I died huh...is this what comes after death?" said Takashi as he gazed towards the clouds in the blue sky. He stayed like this for a few moment when he finally got up.
He patted his pants as he removed the non-existent dust and finally observed his surroundings. He spotted something ahead of him that he might have overlooked when he looked around previously. With nothing else to do with a shrug he started asking towards there
As he got closer he got a better look at the unknown thing at the top of hill. It was table and pair of chairs with a big umbrella on top covering the furniture underneath.
'This scene.....this place is kinda similar to where Subaru met Echidna....Wait!! It's not just similar, it's exactly the same place!!' thought the man with a surprised look as he looked at his surroundings once more. 'yeah it's the same place alright.....so is this my afterlife' he said with an amused expression .
As he looked at the only sign of civilisation in this grassland he found one of the seats occupied with someone sitting on it. Curious he walked closer to look at them more closely.
He would be lying if he said he wasn't exited because after all it could actually be Echidna, but as he got closer he got disappointed. It wasn't Echidna as he saw the person had dark skin and not the pale white skin that Echidna has but he was still curious so he kept on walking until he stopped in front of the table as got a good look at the person.
To say he was surprised would be an understatement, the person sitting across him calmly drinking tea was Morgan F****** Freeman.
As if sensing his gaze Morgan slowly put down the teacup and looked up into his eyes with an amused expression
"Tea?" politely asked Morgan
Dumbfounded, the only thing he could do was nod like an idiot. Morgan chuckled a little when he poured a cup of tea for him and signalled him to sit down. Takashi, still dumbfounded, sat down and took the cup of tea.
"Delicious!" murmured Takashi unconsciously as he took a sip. He became flustered once he realised he said that out loud.
Morgan had a smile on his face as he saw Takashi's reaction
"Now let's get to the matter at hand, you must be really confused right now?" Morgan said
Takashi didn't say anything and just nodded.
"Well let me introduce myself my name is @#$@#E$@, I'm might look like Morgan but it's the closest thing to what you humans imagine god is (in a humanoid form that is) so I took that form, nice to meet you Takashi" greeted the Morgan look-a-like.
Takashi didn't say anything his mind was still processing the name that this 'god' gave, it was some incoherent mumbling to him but at the same time it sounded angelic as it gave him a comfortable feeling throughout his body. It also sounded demonic at the same time that gave him chills. To him it might sound like some incoherent mumbling but it felt important like it had a higher purpose and he in-front of it was nothing but a speck of dust.....
He stopped his thoughts(*cough* existential crisis *cough*) as he processed what he heard after the name, he was shocked but he kept his calm (funny how he lost his shit when he looked at Morgan but he is calm when he found it was actually god).
He didn't doubt that he was god not after whatever he said his name was.
"But you can call me ROB, it's quite a funny name you humans gave me so I decided to use it as you can't understand my true name without melting your brains anyway" said ROB in nonchalant way that scared the shit out of Takashi.
"This place is also just the representation of the real thing ,so you aren't actually in the world of re:zero and I chose it because it seemed like it was a nice, quiet place to chat and you also seem to be fond of it."
He continued "You should have figured out by now that you are dead right?" Takashi nodded "Well instead of going to the afterlife your soul was lost in the void, it's a place where nothing exists and where something can't exist, even myself can't be there for a long time but you... a mere mortal somehow survived" he ended in a mysterious tone.
"You really are interesting Takashi" said ROB in a tone dripping of curiosity
"you see I am god, I am an omnipotent being, even the emotions I am showing you are nothing but a facade to keep you comfortable but this feeling that you gave me, this curiosity....it's genuine." paused ROB as if he was surprised by his reaction himself.
He continued".....you see Takashi, an anomaly like you that an omnipotent being like me cannot predict or even understand is extraordinary and this does not scare me, no!....it fascinates me.....you fascinate me Takashi "
ROB's reaction to this was not uncalled for as this was the first time something like this happened within his trillions of years existence.
Takashi didn't know how to react, he was still in disbelief. ROB as if sensing his predicament started to speak up once more
"Now let's not get of topic now, the real reason I brought you here is to give you a choice"
Takashi didn't say anything but his eyes twinkled curiously as if urging him to continue.
"You have 2 choices….you can either go to the afterlife or you can reincarnate with your memory intact in those anime world that you liked so much , don't worry I'll give you some powers to survive but the catch is it will all be random I will only let you decide your background and your appearance....so what will it be?" urged ROB
Takashi nearly lost his mind, he was literally in what was the wet dream of all weebs, even though the anime world was random it was still an anime world.
Hell!! he wouldn't even mind if he's reincarnated into boku no pico...no FUCK THAT!!! ERASE THAT THOUGHT, BANISH IT!!!!.... I would rather die
(Awkward silence )
....but still it's an anime world so of course he chose the second option
"Good, now I am going to spin 4 different wheels, one for the world, one for the weapon , one for the magic and for the innate skill. The first 3 are self-explanatory but by the 4th I mean bloodline, eyes ,etc those types of stuff. So let's start." ROB said
ROB snapped his fingers and 4 wheel came forward with different information at the end, Takashi quickly looked at the one with anime worlds in it and relaxed when he couldn't find boku no pico.
ROB had a wry smile seeing this, he shook his head and spun the wheel, it rotated for a while when it finally stopped at: High School DxD.
ROB didn't wait for Takashi's reaction and spun the one with the weapons in it, the arrow on the wheel landed on: Zanpakutō (Ryūjin Jakka and Hyōrinmaru fusion).
He then spun the wheel with the magic on it and it stopped on: TRUE SPACE MAGIC
He then finally spun the last one which stopped at something which nearly took the breath of Takashi away: Mystic Eyes of Death Perception(without any side effects)
To say Takashi was overjoyed was an understatement, the skills and weapon he got was the best of the best.
Those two Zanpakutōs were the best Zanpakutō of their respective elements, Hell!?! Ryūjin Jakka was even considered the strongest, even if we don't take the Zanpakutō the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception were a cheat themselves. I mean the ability to kill anything is op.
He isn't sure what they mean by true space magic but he sure as hell isn't complaining.
He doesn't know much about high school dxd but to be honest it was because Issei's character that probably drove him of, he was definitely not jealous of that perverted idiot
ROB looking at the options that were chosen nodded his head approvingly
"You must know what a Zanpakutō is so I'm not going to explain about it, when you will reincarnate the Zanpakutō will be in you like a soul weapon so you don't need to worry about it getting lost as you can detect it, you would be able to take it out once you're 3. For the Shikai(first release) and Bankai(second release) you need to get the approval of the spirits inside the sword yourselves so I can't help you with that"
"For the Mystic Eyes of Death perception you need to train to use its power. There's not an off state of it so it's always on but you won't see the lines, you need apply mana to your eyes to use it. The passive abilities of it are improved vision, a kind of a danger sense and intimidation(with killing intent)."
"TRUE SPACE MAGIC is a little unique, it can be used for teleportation, space slash and all those cliche abilities but that's only a part of it. This magic is literally everything what you can find in space itself, so magic related to the moon, the sun ,the stars , the black hole, gravity etc. So you can be very creative with it."
"Now here you can change your appearance with this, after that we can begin with your background" ROB finished as he waved his hand .
Takashi was more than satisfied, with a smug smile he started changing his appearance with the help of the game like screen ahead of him.
The finished appearance was a young handsome man with tan copper like skin, had pitch black hair that ended just below his shoulders. He didn't bother to change the eyes as they were going to be the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception in its passive state anyway.

Satisfied Takashi said" For the background I want to be a pure-blooded devil that is the last member of the extinct family and the heir of one of the pillars with the same status level as Rias and Sona, reincarnate me as the same age as them too. I want to be the heir of the Barbatos house and ....I want to change my name too"
{{NOTE from Author-san: I'm not sure if there is a Barbatos house or if there is and there are members of it as I haven't seen it yet but if there are I will change the name of the house in the future of those people}}
"Ohhh.." ROB raised an eyebrow at the last request "May I ask why?"
"I don't want any attachments to my past life.... I am leaving everything behind and want to start anew. I don't want any family there either because even though I want to forget about my past I can't forget my parents so that's why I want to be the only member of the house" Takashi answered.
"Ok then, Show me Takas---no Diablo, Show me Diablo Barbatos!!!.... intrigue me more, show me things that I haven't seen yet" said ROB with a voice full of authority as he waved his hand as Diablo vanished in streak of light.
