Chapter 2: Chapter 2.

____________________________________________________________________________________________

A light, a growing light capable of making me think I died again flashed in front of me, causing me to involuntarily squint my eyes to try and resist the brightness. But the closer I got to the light, the harder it became to keep the light from hurting my eyes. Making me shut them fully. I raised my hand in retaliation but was surprised to find out that I currently, did not have any sort of hands, hell, not even limbs.

What's going on? The screen said reincarnation so I can only think that this is part of the process, but a part of me is still wary. I wasn't one to believe in things such as reincarnation, I didn't even believe in an all-powerful single 'God.' Either. However, this event seems to be swaying my beliefs... If this light is truly what I think it is, then I will have no other choice but to believe...

The light that soon proved itself to be the brightest thing I've ever saw engulfed me, causing me to wince. Not a second later however, everything came into view wonderfully. A pristine wooden house, windows that revealed the luscious green grass that laid upon the ground... The clouds as white as snow, the sea blue sky that held the bright yellow sun.

This sight was all I needed to know that I was actually reincarnated, nothing else could be explained. That, and the fact I'm being held by a giant man in a white robe with a plus sign just above his heart.

"Congratulations, Mrs. Bladeheart, it's a healthy youn- Hm?" The man that I could only guess to be a doctor, spoke but suddenly stopped. His eyes were locked unto mine as his gazed scanned my body.

"W-what's wrong? Is my baby, okay?" A tired and dry womanly voice sounded out from my right. I didn't even bother looking in her direction, I kept my gaze fixed with the doctors which seemed to surprise him.

The doctors gaze retreated from mine and he started looking all over my body, he lifted my arms and legs, looked at my feet and arms but when he got to my palms, he stopped. His eyes narrowing as he scrutinized my right palm.

"... How strange. Your child is fine ma'am, but there seems to be a unique birth mark or something on his palm. I've never seen anything like it so I can't really give you a direct answer, but it's safe to say that your child is healthy. Though..." The doctor informed who I could only guess was my mother. During his statement however, he trailed off at the end.

Finally darting my eyes to the right, I was somewhat able to see my new mother from my peripheral vision. She had fiery red hair, deep grey eyes and a soft and beautiful face. She most definitely a beauty, though I don't know this worlds standard, but on my world, she would've easily classified as one of the most beautiful women in the kingdom.

"Birthmark? What do you mean, show me if you would.." She spoke weakly, plopping back down on the bed to catch her breath. The doctor nodded and carried me over to my mother, one we made eye contact her lips formed a beautiful small and soft motherly smile. Causing me to stiffen up for a second.

But the next second, she seemed to have noticed something wrong...

"Why are his eyes yellow? And... Brown hair? What a surprise..." My mother said, her eyes widened a bit as her eyebrows raised. Lifting her left arm slowly, she grasped unto my small hands and took a look at the so called 'birthmark' the doctor had informed her of. Seeing it, she started to study it even more. It was starting to get a bit weird having my mother rub my hand like a creep, but I pulled through. Not a second later, she released me.

"Strange, but I-it's fine... His hair color and e-eyes however, are a bit conspicuous..." She said between struggled breaths, it was clear she was tired and that she would seemingly pass out at any moment.

The doctor noticed as well and he retrieved me from my mother before placing me in a crib with a white soft woolen blanket under me, while I was wrapped in a soft silk blanket. Holding my limbs.

"It's best if you get some rest now, ma'am. I'm sure you are extremely exhausted from child birth. I will be leaving now, if you have any questions when you wake, you know where to find me. You can also ask any of the other staff, I'm sure they would be more than happy to help." The man said with a smile. My mother nodded in understanding before she instantly fell asleep.

The doctor had left, leaving me alone in this wooden cabin or separate home.

I couldn't do much but either sleep or wait for my mother to awaken and take me to her estate. Though, there was this feeling of attraction throughout the air as it brushed against my skin, it felt as if there was something residing within the atmosphere that wanted me to... Take hold of it. Giving into the feeling, I raised my babyish hands and tried to pull the attraction towards my hand, accepting it as a part of me almost.

Balls of light started converging, merging together. I watched with clear fascination as the blue, green, brown and red balls came together to form a black ball. A ball of all the colors mixed. The size of this ball wasn't that big, it was about the size of a ping pong ball at most, but the wind that was coming in through the opened window in the room started to pick up. Lifting the sheets of my mother's bed, blowing the curtains to the side as well as knocking over a cup of green liquid that resided on my mother's bedside.

WHOOSH

CLANK

BANG

I quickly released the ball of energy as I frantically looked around the room, analyzing the damage the wind had done. I let a breath of relief noticing that the room had very little damage done to it besides the few things that were knocked over or pushed off of a table. Moving my gaze over to the bed my mother resided, I was glad that she wasn't notified or awoken due to the loud sounds of things being knocked over, which is quite surprising but I guess giving birth is a lot more tiring than I expected...
