Chapter 26: The Thirty Year Old Battle Continues
"It seems that these wolves are getting better and better at killing us. We need to really show them the strength of the coven, but what can we do to prove it?" The head of the coven deliberated with his elders.
"Vladimir, I think the best thing we can do right now is to go on an assault" Suggested one of the elders.
"An assault? Please, tell me more" He replied as he was struck by this idea. He stopped pacing up and down and looked at the elder.
"Well if we want to show how strong we are and send a message, an assault would display our strength telling the wolves to buckle up for the turf war"
"That sounds pretty good but with the way they've been taking people out, I can't afford to lose more men" Vladimir reasoned with the rest of the elders.
"Don't worry about it sir, we can get more by tomorrow plus we could call for reinforcements from the other covens and our cousins" Armin suggested.
"That sounds pretty solid. All in favour say I"
"I!!" everybody chorused
"Then it's decided then, tomorrow, we show the wolves our strength. Meeting over" Vladimir said before walked by away from the stone table carved by their bare hands.
With this decision the wolves might have a taste of war with vampires pretty early after just being introduced to the idea of chasing them away from their lands.

"Alright guys, I stayed up all night writing up a plan that's going to destroy Amanda's reputation for sure"
"Alright Will, spit it out" Brian said eagerly.
"So, my plan is to tail and video Amanda so that we can find anything that we can use to implicate her and take her down and I have a hunch that we're going to fight something juicy"
"If this whole plan is based on a hunch, I don't know if it would work" Keisha said.
"Well I don't know about but there is a high chance of it actually working. Since Amanda has in quote 'disgraced him' her guard would be down and then we can trail her and get more information" Connor analyzed the plan and stated the facts of it working.
"If Connor said that there is a high chance of it working, then it's going to work" Brian supported the motion.
"I agree, so you in Keisha?" William asked.
"Well someone has to keep you guys away from trouble and talk some sense into y'all so I guess I'm in, plus I need to keep an eye on my boo" she casually replied.
"Yes it's settled. Now, time to fill you in on the details" Will said rubbing his hands together in excitement.
They spent their lunch break getting the plan all ready. The looked expertly into the details to make sure everything went according to plan. Will and Brian were to follow her while Connor would get her phone and use it to track it but the problem is how are they going to get it out of her hands. Before they could even start thinking of ways to get it, all their phones got messages at the same time. It was a video edit of the interaction between Will and Amanda and they added music, sound effects and all. The video was tagged pied after she slammed a pie into Will's face. This made him angrier than ever and even more determined to bring her down. He couldn't walk in school for five minutes without someone giggling or say, 'Oh, here comes pied' which infuriated him.
Keisha devised a plan to make sure that Connor got her phone. She and some of her friends would engage Amanda in a talk and while she's distracted Connor would bump into her getting the phone out of her pocket. He would have at least five minutes before she thinks of touching her phone so he'll have to bug it quickly and slip it into her locker, books, buckets or something but just make sure that the phone's been returned. Once his objective had been accomplished Will and Brian would wait for her to walk out of school and trail her. Connor would tell them where she is incase they lose sight on her. The sting would continue to go on until they've gotten solid stuff on her.
Just like Keisha had planned she and her friends engaged Amanda in a long talk and Connor slipped in slickly and bumped into her pulling her phone out of her pocket expertly and moved quickly to Will's class where he and Brian waited for him. He sort of sprinted through the halls and to the class as he rushed to plug the phone in and get to work. Connor did his tech stuff and bugged the phone enabling him to track it from her laptop and knowing that she would never go anywhere without her phone, it was a smart decision to make. Connor finished in the nick of time and gave Brian the phone to go drop it back. When he arrived they were still talking and her locker was closed, purse zipped and she would know if he tried to sneak it into her pocket. He tried to think of something to give her the phone back but all his options were closed except for an opening that just dropped into his mind. He devised a plan to drop the phone back but not in an ideal location. He walked quickly towards her and once he was close enough, he appeared to trip and dropped the phone next to her and casually walked away. One of Keisha's friends pointed out her phone on the floor and she wondered how it got there but her attention was carried away by the discussion she had with the other girls. Soon enough, they left eachother with their mission accomplished and all that was left was for Amanda to leave the school premises and trail her.
Slowly Amanda emerged from school and for into her parent's car and they drove off as Brian and William followed her loosely. She went home and into her room straight away. William and Brian sent text messages to signify that they would be coming in late today. They went up a tree in their backyard and stationed a camera to spy on her and they watched her do some really stupid things. They also watched how she insulted her friends after getting of the phone with them and tried to pimp herself up to impress one boy in school.
"A little more of this and we can destroy her rep" Will said before slipping of the tree and falling to the ground.
The sound of him call my to the ground attracted Amanda to the window and she looked for the source of the loud thump outside. Brian was quick to dive into the bushes while William rolled to a vantage point that would conceal himself from her view.
"Is anybody there?" She asked as she looked around and after she saw nobody, she coughed up some mucus and spat it out. How disgusting, a prime and proper queen B could be so irritating. Once she went in, William and Brian crawled out of their positions and darted back to the forest.
"Man that was some good stuff and all in one day, now we just need to edit it and release it" William said happily.
"Yep we got some really good stuff to take her down in one swoop" Brian said panting and running.
"Yh, time to take her down once and for all"

The two of them stormed into the house and went straight into the kitchen to get food to eat. All that walking and paddling made them tired and hungry so they couldn't wait to dig in.
As soon as they were done eating, they went out to go on patrol. Will and Brian paired up this time as the others had already moved out. Will and Brian now had to locate the area Keisha and Connor were so that they could move to the opposite side. The best way for them to communicate with them was to howl, their howl was used for long range communication and pass important messages as it also have away their position to potential threats. Once they got to the top of hill surrounded by trees, Will have a howl saying where are you Keisha and Connor? The two who were sniffing around for vampire trails and then their ears picked up Will's message. This message didn't just reach the ears of Keisha and Connor but the whole pack. Once she interpreted it, she gave a reply telling Will and Brian that they were in the western region leaving the north open for them to patrol. This was new turf for Will so he'll have to follow Brian's lead. The north was far more dense with than the west and it didn't have any plains like in the west, central and southern regions of the forest. It also had more ups and downs with hills and caves. Brian led him through the thicket of trees and the nooks and crannies of the north.
"I never knew this is what you guys go through. I usually see you guys on the crossroad to our side but I never imagined it to be like this" Will expressed his views before getting hit in the head with a branch.
"Yh, since you actually never explore any other side of the forest, you're going to get a surprise when you explore their area"
"Most likely. I think I'll take on of these days of and check out the other parts of the forest"
"Nice idea" Brian said as he hopped over a rock.

With everything in place, Vladimir sent out Armin and a squad to twenty five strong vampires out to show their strength. Vladimir wasn't wasting that much pure bloods so he sent out five to back Armin up and the rest were just half bloods. He and the elders over looked them as they marched onwards into wolf territory. Ethan and Mary were out snooping for tracks when they heard a whole lot of footsteps coming towards them very quickly and the scent of vampire poluted the atmosphere. They panicked and sprinted right towards the centre howling to announce the invasion of their enemies. This reached the ears of the others who replied with their own howl and ran to their meeting point.
"Report" Eric ordered jumping over a rock with Linda following closely behind him as the others emerged from bushes and trees swarming around Ethan and Mary.
"We heard footsteps sir. Vampire footsteps" Ethan reported.
"How many" Eric asked with a serious tone as there was an uneasiness within the pack with growls and snarls.
"Sir twenty or maybe even twenty five and they were running towards us. What do you think it is sir?" Mary stated.
"They've come for a fight. I'm not sure what the fight is for but if they want one, we'll give to them. Prepare for battle" Commanded.
The seriousness of Eric's face along with his tone sent a message to all that this was no time to play. Fighting with other wolves was messy and risky but with vampires, the chances of you dying was even higher so there was fear among the young ones but Miranda encouraged them. She also told them to rely on their training and have each others backs in this one. This lifted their spirits and readied them for battle.
At Eric's command, the wolves filled out behind their alpha with Eric in front, betas behind him and omegas kept at the back for safe keeping. Miranda was used to taking on vampires but not Brian and William, in fact, they were no better than the omegas on this fight but what could separate them from the omegas is the mindset and maturity they'd show on the battle ground. Will looked a bit worried and his body language showed it but Brian gave him a reassuring nudge to cheer him up. The fact of them losing their lives plagued the young ones mind like a virus but as for the elders, losing their lives in battle would be a glorious thing as their names would be edged into the book of remembrance for the pack and be remembered as brave warriors.
The vampires stood within the south western trees and waited for the wolves to show up. They were also uneasy about this whole fight to test their strength. The pure bloods stood in front and the half bloods at the back waiting to finally have their first fight in decades with their arch enemies. With a howl breaking the silence that shrouded the forest the wolves finally emerged from the cover of the trees with them growling and snarling vigorously. Some of the vampires began to hiss at the wolves but Armin stopped them from taking it any further. Armin looked despicably at the wolves who growled and licked their lips.
"And so once again vampires and wolves have another battle after decades of watching from the shadows but today we come out, today, we show them what we've been preparing for after all these decades. Vampires, ADVANCE!!!!" Armin commanded as the half bloods ran out first. Vladimir ordered Armin to make the half bloods come out first as he couldn't afford any pure blood dying in this interaction so they had to go out first and the pure ones would wait and pick their time to engage any targets that catches their eye.
Seeing the nineteen vampires that rushed towards them, Eric gave out last minutes orders.
"Connor, Kent, Ethan, you guys hold the back line, make sure not a single one of them gets past you. Miranda, you're with me front line and the rest of you cover my back" Eric ordered and the others acknowledged the command.
"Charge!!!!" Eric roared as he led the charge against the vampires and the two races ran full steam ahead at eachother as the age old battle between them would continue once more.
