Chapter 92: Chapter 91 - Indigo League; advancing round part 6
"Eva, have you found the reason for that dark cloud with blue lightning appearing out of nowhere?" Oak had sent Eva to investigate the reason and find out if this dark cloud was summoned by a Pokémon or something else. As a researcher, Oak was very excited to see something new and research on it.
"Professor, I am afraid my words will disappoint you. The dark clouds was indeed summoned by a Pokémon. And that Pokémon happens to be Zeraora."

"Sorry, can you please repeat your words again?" The smile and excited look on Oak's face instantly disappeared. He himself felt he was hearing things. Because such thing was not possible for Zeraora to do.
"It's the truth Professor. You can see the video of the match taken place in stadium 7 between Sia and Itsuki." Eva on the other hand was very confused and she wanted to know how a Pokémon could learn such attack.

The moment Eva saw Zeraora in the elimination round, she knew there was something special about Zeraora. Eva felt Itsuki must have done something that has changed Zeraora. Otherwise how do you explain the change in her lightning color or the change in Zeraora appearance. But Eva kept these questions to herself as she planned on finding the secret of Itsuki and report it back to the organization.

Oak with his trembling habds took the laptop and played the video. Eva could see how frightened and angry Oak looked.
"H.... How the hell is this even possible?" Oak loudly roared in anger.

Scene change to Itsuki....
Itsuki returned to the main stadium. Itsuki found that the 2nd match was going on. Itsuki realized how fast he ended his match. While the other stadiums were currently having 2nd matches, Itsuki had finished his match very quickly.
Itsuki didn't went back to the back stage instead he chose to sit at the corner of the stadium where the members of Joy clans was taking rest.

The seats were empty when Itsuki came there so he didn't had to ask anyone's permission.
After sitting down, Itsuki looked at the screen and analyzed the two trainers who were currently having their match.
"Both of them are not that strong if I compare them to the trainers who has peak 4th order Pokémon. It's a matter time and luck before these two trainers gets eliminated."

Sitting in a VIP room located at the top of the stadium, Lance and Lorelei looked at the Itsuki.
"What do you think? Who has the better chances of winning this year's Indigo League?" asked Lorelei. Lorelei looked at Itsuki's image and felt that Itsuki would have been a perfect boyfriend material if he was at least 5 years older.

Lance rubbed his forehead and sighed."Honestly speaking this year I was hoping that someone strong trianer from Kanto would win the battle but it looks like Cynthia, Paul, Cameron, Finn, Suzune, Barry and Itsuki all has better and more percentage of winning the Indigo League championship. Although Kanto also has Ash and Gary, but I was hoping more genius trainers would came out."

"Are we going to ignore the fact that because of Oak one of our most potential and a genius of new generation has left Kanto and become Kalos citizen. Because of that old man's arrogance, we lost a World Class genius." Lorelei said with a frowning look.

Lance sighed while giving at Itsuki's direction.
"What can we do? The other two elite members are dogs of Oak and not to mention that Oak has secretly bought almost 70 percent of the Association members under his control. If it wasn't for Red and Blue, I would have taken some sort of serious actions against Oak a long time ago."

"Lance, I don't understand. Red and blue has been missing for a decade yet why we are not assuming that they are dead and take action against Oak? If we let Oak do whatever he wants then tomorrow Kanto will lose more and more geniuses like Itsuki. Kanto already has suffered under Oak. The scars, the damages, the consequences of Oak's actions will wound Kanto in the future." Lorelei asked in frustration. Oak has been suppressing the Association with Red and Blue name.

"Lorelei, I know you're frustrated. Trust me, I feel very frustrated thinking about the future of our Kanto. If things goes on like this, then in the next and future world cup, Kanto will lose its first rank and fall down at the bottom. To this day Kanto was blessed and was able to stay at the top of the power but our days of being at the top is coming to an end. I am sure both Sinnoh and Kalos Region will rise in power if both Cynthia and Itsuki continues to grow like this."

Itsuki didn't the that two members of elite four were talking about him. Even if he did, Itsuki wouldn't have cared since Itsuki had nothing to do with Kanto anymore.
After the Kanto League, Itsuki would have only one thing left to do to Kanto. That is getting revenge on Oak and destroy him.

Itsuki continued to the watch the battles with an bored expression. Like this 3 hours passed and finally the advancing round was coming to an end.
"Itsuki we have been searching for you?" Itsuki saw Barry, Cameron, Finn and Cynthia towards him.
"I thought you guys were watching the match from somewhere else." Itsuki stood up with a smile on his face and replied.

"No, actually we have been looking for you. I heard that you defeated in opponent using a single move." Itsuki looked at Finn and understood that everyone here has managed win their respective matches and go to the next round.
"I have been working on this move for a long time." Itsuki didn't into deeper details since he was not interested in sharing with everyone.

Everyone understood that Itsuki wasn't interested in going into details.
"By the way, have you guys seen Suzune?" Itsuki asked remembering about the young girl who told Itsuki and Cynthia to stay away from her.
"That rude girl. I remember seeing her walking to the backstage after winning her match." Barry replied.

"Bro, don't tell me that you're interested in that girl or anything?" Finn words made Cynthia gaze turn cold and she coldly looked at Itsuki. Last time Cynthia had met Suzune, she had left a bad impression in Cynthia's mind and she clearly didn't liked that girl.
Itsuki ignored Cynthia's cold icy glare."No, I just suddenly happened to remember about her."

"By the way, do you how Paul is..... Barry was interrupted by the words of Lance. Everyone in the stadium looked at the screen and all the cameras focused on the screen.
[Ladies and gentlemen, we all have witnessed the great battles fought by the trainers. Each battle gave us different emotions and let us see many unexpected things.] Itsuki felt as if Lance had looked towards him for a moment.

Crowd cheered seeing that the beauty Lorelei taking over. Among the elite four, Lorelei was very popular among men because of her beauty.

[The Kanto Associated has decided to add a new system of finding the top contenders for the Indigo League Championship. So this round will be different from the previous two rounds. This round will be a point based. At the end of the round, the top 10 trainers with most points will go to the next round and fight for the Indigo League Championship.]

Itsuki and Cynthia looked at each other. Itsuki could see that many trainers was looking surprised and disappointed.
"What?"
"Why?
"I was thinking I could go to the next round but with this new system only the strongest trainer would able to advance further."
"This round will eliminate all the weak trainers without wasting time. And this will also not bore the audience."

Many trainers understood the reason for this eliminating method. But deep down everyone was dissatisfied. Because normally Pokémon League would do the half dividing rule in each round.
Many thought after the advancing round which had 50 trainers, the next round would eliminate the half of the total. And the next round will again eliminate half of total and the process will continue till only final 4 trianers are left.
The advantage in this system was that the more rounds a trianer advanced the more great quality reward the trainer would receive even if they lost.

[The Pokemon League understands that this new system will not satisfy many trainers. So the Kanto League Association has decided to increase the rewards each trainers will receive according to the rank of their collected points.] Lorelei words had a magical cooling affect on the trainers who participated in the Indigo League to obtain more resources and grow stronger.

[Let me explain how the point system will work in the next round. The next round each trainer will be allowed to use 3 Pokémon. 50 trainers will have 25 matches, each trianer will fight one match.
1.Normally defeating a trainer would give 3 points.
2. Defeating trainer's three Pokémon by using only one Pokémon would get 10 points.
3. If a Pokémon defeats two of trainer's Pokémon consecutively, that trainer will get 6 points. And 1 extra point for defeating the last Pokémon of a trainer.]

"Itsuki, things are going to be pretty tough." Itsuki could see Finn, Barry and Cameron didn't looked that confident in getting among the top 10 position.
As for Cynthia, Itsuki couldn't read her face since her face shrouded in cold icy expression.
