Chapter 100: Chapter 99 - Indigo League; 4th Match
Paul didn't care about the reaction of the audience. "Electivire finish this with Hammer arm."
Electivire arms again glowed in white light. He closed his fist and punched Raichu.
Bang! Bang!
When the smoke disappeared, Raichu was badly wounded lying on the ground motionless.

The audience turned silent. Benjamin looked at Paul in disbelief. From the beginning Benjamin had no real hope of winning this match as Raichu electric attakcs won't harm Electivire. But he didn't think he would lose this fast.
But one thing Benjamin was forgetting was that, Electivire level 43 while Raichu was only level 40. The gap between two Pokémon was huge.

[What an amazing display of moves by Paul. Raichu was destroyed by Electivire.]
[Benjamin has recalled his Raichu. Can't wait for Benjamin to take out his next Pokémon.] While Benjamin only smiled bitterly as his other Pokémon level were around mid 4th order. There was no way his other two Pokémon could defeat a Pokémon that has almost reached the mid 5th order.

"I quit." Everyone on the stadium was very surprised by Benjamin word.
[Winner of the second match, Paul. Paul is rewarded 10 points.] The referee announced.
Paul wasn't expecting to win to easily. Paul was not satisfied with the fight but what can he do. Paul even though he won, he walked back with a look of frustration.
Benjamin also left and took his Raichu to the medical team.

[Well, Michael is match might be the shortest match of this round. So moving on to the next match which will start after 5 minutes.]
Even the audience didn't looked satisfied with this battle. Th3 audience were expecting a heated battle that will make their blood boil in excitement but sadly the first two matches couldn't live up to their expectations.

"Lorelei, what do you think of Benjamin?" Lance asked while looking at the information about Benjamin family.
"The boy is talented but his financial and family problems has prevented him shinning. As for his talent, while Benjamin cannot be compared to the geniuses but with enough hard work and under someone's guidance he could also become someone very strong in future."

"The boy's character is also good. He has no crime records either. Do you think we should mark Benjamin as a potential candidate?" Asked Lance.
"I think we should. Putting our resources on potential trainers like Finn and Benjamin might produce future elite four members that are free from Oak's control."

"I was expecting to see the match last few more minutes." Cynthia from the beginning had a feeling that Paul would win. Her guess was confirmed when Paul took out Electivire. Cynthia was trying to her learn about the moves of Electivire and also find its weaknesses.

"Cynthia, you haven't answer our questions yet." Said woman who also had the same hair color as Cynthia. Cynthia stopped looking at the screen and looked at her mother.
"What do you want me to answer?" Cynthia asked.

Carolina and Shizuka looked at each other for second and then asked. "Who was that boy talking with you?" Shizuka asked her daughter. Cynthia hearing her mother question frowned and asked back.
"How can I answer your question when you're not being specific with your question." Carolina sighed and added.
"We are asking about that handsome young man beside you."

"You meant Itsuki. What's wrong with Itsuki?" Cynthia asked back her mother and grandmother.
"We wanted to know how you met Itsuki and your relationship with him?" What has happened to Shizuka had left a deep scar on her. Shizuka didn't wished something similar to happen to her daughter especially when her daughter had grown up to become so beautiful.

"I met Itsuki at Cinnabar Island. If you ask me about my relationship with Itsuki, I would describe it as close friends maybe... I am not sure." Even Cynthia looked by the relationship she had with Itsuki. While Cynthia does considers Itsuki as her close friend, Cynthia doesn't know what Itsuki thinks of her.

"I see." Shizuka sighed in relief.
"Cynthia do you think we could perhaps met with Itsuki? I am really interested in meeting your friend." Carolina also nodded along showing that she also wanted to meet Itsuki.
"I will try." Cynthia didn't think much about it. Cynthia was happy to introduce Itsuki to her family.

"Mom and Grandma, I have to prepare for my match. So I will leave. I return after my match." Shizuka and Carolina watched Cynthia leave. After she left, Carolina sighed as she took the chair to sit down.
"Shizuka, do you think we made a mistake by not teaching Cynthia about relationship matters? My granddaughter is too insensitive in relationship matters."

Itsuki sneezed and rubbed his nose. "Who is cursing me?" Itsuki shook his head since he didn't believe in these things.
Currently Serena had dragged Itsuki to check out the cosmetic products sold in the street shops.

"Itsuki check this earrings out" Itsuki looked at the earrings in Serena's hand. The earrings was a small star of white color.
Itsuki didn't had any knowledge about what girls liked or girls products. "How do you they look?" Serena asked.
"I think this earrings would look good on you." Itsuki felt Serena would good with anything she tried.

"Really?" Serena looked at Itsuki's face and tried to see if he was telling lie.
"You look stunning in anything you wear." Itsuki honest answer made Serena smile. To her this very moment was first date.
"Itsuki look that shop has many pretty necklaces. Let's go there." Serena began to pull Itsuki like a child does when the child sees a toy shop.

"You go there. I will came in a minute." Serena nodded and with quick took steps she reached the other street shop.
"Bose how much?" Itsuki while taking out his wallet.
"100 P$." Itsuki nodded and took out 100 P$ note from his wallet. If it was before, Itsuki would have bargained with the shopkeeper. But now Itsuki didn't bothered about this kind of thing.

Itsuki and Serena spent their times together without any worries in the world. When Itsuki was with Serena, he forgot about the Indigo League and his other worries.

Scene change...
[_ Match number 3:- Number 109 vs Number [505]
_Gary, grandson of World Famous Scientist Professor Oak from Pallet town vs Sakura from Kalos region.] Everyone noticed that how Oak's name was mentioned with Gary. Some people understood that by mentioning Oak's name they were just trying to increase Gary's popularity.

Gary and the girl named Sakura came to the battlefield and the battle quickly started. Right when the battle started Gary took out his Blastoise.
While Sakura was a trainer with her Pokemon level being not more than level 37. Blastoise completely destroyed Sakura in just fee minutes.

The whole battle looked more like a bullying match. Sakura was constantly struggling to even land a attack on Blastoise while Blastoise took only one hit to destroy her Pokémon.
The audience didn't had any interest in the match. Everyone looked bored. No one was interested in seeing a one sided match. People hardly even cheered for Garh or Sakura.

[Winner of the match Gary. Gary is awarded with 10 points.] People lazily stood up to clap for Gary as he walked back with a unhappy face.
Gary was a man who enjoyed getting attention. He liked to be at the center of attraction. So seeing the lazy reaction of the audience, Gary was obviously displeased and angry.

[Ladies and Gentlemen, we will be back after another 5 minutes break. The next match participants Cynthia and Isaac are requested to came to the battlefield.]

Itsuki and Serena also heard the words of the announcer. Itsuki didn't wanted to miss Cynthia's match. Itsuki stopped walkand looked at Serena.
"Serena, I apologize but I think we should go back and watch this match. Cynthia is a friend of mine and I don't want to miss her match." Serena wanted ask more about Cynthia as she had seen how both of them talked with each other after the elimination round. Serena kept this question in her heart for another time.
"Sure let's go back." Serena said with a smile.
