[Vanntalfdir] : Enables user to walk on liquids as if they were solid surfaces, can be activated at will but continuously drains mana to function. > User can walk upon any liquid without negative effects regardless of what it might be.
[Wynningbaldr] : Allows user to detect break-points and use mana to exploit them. > User can now detect lines of death within beings and objects, should any line be cut the thing struck will instantly break apart and die.

Michael looks over his status without reaction. Nothing here was strange, only expected... He had some slots to pick new Spirits from but couldn't bring himself to care enough to pick any. What would be the point anyway?
He remembered eagerly checking the book every day for changes in his status, gauging his improvements after a hard day working on himself... Now though? The only thing about the book that even slightly interested him was the being hidden within it.
"So? The book?" Tiffania's question pulls him from his thoughts, "You've been staring at it for ten minutes now..."
...
"I need time alone." he states, his form vanishing and his consciousness manifesting in the void of Oblivion. There, he begins to meditate, pushing his mind into the book, not towards where the small pocket worlds where the Spirit's souls rest, but towards where the strange being lay.
He could already infer who the being was, but he'd rather follow this thread of curiosity instead of sitting on his heels...
He feels his mind pass a boundary of some sort and enter what could only be called the 'abyss'. Even the Void within the realms of Oblivion had more substance as if this was the beginning and the end of everything.
There, floating in the middle of the non-existent realm, was a pair of glowing eyes that seemed to be viewing from outside of reality itself. They made Michael 'feel' like a mouse inside a box with holes in it, being stared at by incomprehensible 'humans'.
Neither does anything, simply staring at one another with Michael being the only one showing any degree of interest.
