Chapter 39: Talented young man
"What the hell is this feeling? something is really off about her" Daisy said to herself as they walked into the city.
"What's wrong Daisy?" she asked and the girl looked at her and her eyes widened when she sensed an ominous feeling coming from the girl and she swallowed deeply then folded her cuffs.
'Nothing" she responded and Julia smiled.
"You look like you have seen a bloody ghost," Julia said and Dasiy smiled nervously.
'Trust me I am seeing something a lot more scary than a ghost" she replied.
'Huh? what is it? are you going to be okay?" Julia asked.
"Yeah I will be fine, I think I am the one who should be asking you that question" she responded and Julia sighed.
"I am perfectly fine, no need to ask that," she said and Dasiy sighed.
"I need to pull myself together maybe I am just being paranoid," she said to herself then smiled.
'So what do you plan on doing here?" Daisy asked.
'I want a fine sword, his majesty can take it out of my pay" she responded.
'Nice there are a lot of nice swords but it's not how nice the sword is, it's how the owner uses it and the owns personality" Dasiy said as they stopped by a forgery and Julia looked at the fine weapons they were making including guns and she sighed.
'Want me to help you choose?" Dasiy asked and Julia smiled.
"Sure, thanks" she responded.
"No problem," she said as a young man came to them.
"Can I help you with something?" he asked.
"My friend here is looking for a sword" Daisy responded and he looked at Julia smiling and she raised her right brow looking at him sternly and he swallowed deeply.
"You guys take a look around and call me if you need anything," he said and Julia smiled as he walked away and she saw something shining in his hand.
"Wait," Julia said and he looked at her.
'Yes," he replied.
"Can you please come here?" she asked and he came to her.
"What is it ma'am?" he asked.
"Can I see your sword?" she asked and he smiled then took out his sword and she smiled.
'Woah" Dasooy said as she stared at the design on the stainless steel and the sharp edge.
"It's pretty is it yours?" Julia asked and Dasiy smiled.
"Well sort of mine, it's my own work and the golden flower design on the blade I did that during my free time, the boss said it's useless no one will buy it from me, but I placed my time into it" he responded with a frown and Julia smiled.
"Can I have a look?" Julia asked as she put out her hands in front of him and he smiled then placed the sword in her hand and she grabbed it by the handle then moved it around a little and as the sun light shined on the sword it shimmered a little and she gasped then looked at him with sparkling eyes and he laughed.
"You can have it" he said.
"Huh? wait let me tell you when to collect the money" she replied.
'No, you are a friend of prince Alre's right?" he asked and she sighed.
"His maid yes" she responded and Daisy smiled.
"Then anything that prince Alre gets from here is free.. at least you thought my stuff is worth buying, that's enough for me, is it light?" he asked and she smiled.
"Yes, for me it's easy to use, thank you Shawn" she responded as she looked at his name tag on his shirt and he smiled.
"You are most welcome" he replied.
"What do you think you are doing lurking around doing nothing?" a guy shouted and Shawn jumped as a tall muscular guy came to him.
Shawn was fair, tall, slim yet a little muscular, a young man with fine features such as blue eyes, a long straight nose, and a slim chin.
'Sorry boss, I will get back to work" he replied.
"Stop showing people your worthless work" he shouted and Julia folded her cuffs in anger and Daisy trembled then looked at Julia as she gave the man a death stare.
'What right do you have to call his work worthless when it's obviously better than yours?" she asked and the guy looked at her sternly.
"Hmph! for a young lady you have quite the nerves talking back at me like that," he said and she smiled.
"Ma'am," Shawn said and she looked at him.
'Thanks for the sword but right now I would really like to test it out" she said and Shawn smiled.
"You still showed your work despite me warning you countless times" the guy shouted as he was going to hit shaw and Julia pointed her sword at his neck and Shawn gasped and Daisy left staring at the girl.
"What do you think you are doing?" the guy asked as he started sweating and she smiled.
"What you are afraid of Is that he might take your business away which is highly possible due to his great skill in creating which you don't have, this place belongs to the royals right?" she asked.
'Yes, but I am the boss here" he responded and she moved her sword away from him.
'I see... well if you keep on going like this I will make sure you become an employee and he your employer, keep treating him like garbage and I will make you into a piece of garbage and toss you somewhere and leave you to rot, are you getting what I am saying?" she asked and the guy swallowed deeply then sighed.
'You can't so me anything" he said and she scoffed.
"I am princess Dasiy and trust me what she said will happen if you cross your boundaries," Dasiy said and Julia smiled.
"You will be nothing when I am done with you, now Shawn, you keep doing your work and show the customers, I am sure people will love your work," Julia said and the young man smiled brightly.
