Chapter 11: Second attempt.
Normally, Leonard would have chosen not to engage in these quests of seducing and banging different ladies if it was up to him, but it's not based on choice, he must have to do it to live. Yeah, you'll get the chance to taste different women and acquire points and Exp. But the disadvantage, you'll die if you don't accomplish your quest within the time given to you.
Leonard knew that he'll have to make Eva fall for him if he wants to live, and he was determined to do so, if possible, within this week. But he woke up this morning with the urge to go gamble, can you believe that? A person that had a serious quest to accomplish? The urge was as strong as ever, it wasn't his fault, it had already become a part of him.
On his previous earth, he gambles almost every day, but since he got transmigrated into this earth, a hadn't engaged in gambling even once. He had more important things to achieve than gambling, and he didn't even know if he was permitted to do so, maybe, he could be struck dead if he tries gambling.
'Why didn't they just give me a different personality while transmigrating me into this earth? They only gave me a different body, they should have changed my personality also so I would forget about gambling'. Leonard thought to himself.
The time was just 6:30 am, and he didn't know if he should start preparing to go to Eva's house, to shoot his shot once again. Honestly, he wasn't really in the mood to do so, but seems like he'll have to do so 'cause he wants to get this all done with. He got up from the bed and strolled over to the parlor and sat on one of the couches in it. Then he began thinking about what he did wrong yesterday that he didn't want to repeat today while conversing with Eva.
He first thought of the shirt he wore yesterday, the shirt was cool and okay, but he wasn't gonna put on shirt today when going to Eva's boulevard, he was gonna put on something more attractive. Then secondly, he was gonna use sweeter words while conversing with her, words that would soothe her down and most likely, make her fall for him.
Those were the two things he was gonna improve on when approaching her today. Then he thought about the time she does leave in the morning, seems like she doesn't leave for work too early 'cause he knew the time he saw her leaving for work yesterday morning. And maybe she doesn't come back too late from work 'cause he knew what the time was when he saw she and her friends entering her abode yesterday, though it was evening already.
Then her means of leaving in the morning, seems like she uses car to leave for work in the morning, though he wasn't sure yet. So this was his plan, he wouldn't rush over to her house 'cause he doesn't wanna go waiting for her outside when he wasn't sure if she had left or not. He was gonna reach her boulevard the time he reached there yesterday, and if he doesn't see her along the street, he'll wait for her.
When he waits for her for a certain time, and she doesn't come out, he'll leave and come back in the evening. And also, waiting for her and she speeds off in a car, he'll do the same thing, he'll leave and come back in the evening. But if he's lucky to meet her, he'll converse with her. Yeah, this was his plan.
Right there in his parlor, he did some push-ups before entering the bathroom to take his bath and brush his teeth. After bathing, he came out of the bathroom and strolled over to his room. He dried himself and stood in front of his wardrobe to choose attractive outfits. Standing in front of the wardrobe for a minute, he decided to choose one of the thick branded clothes that seemed like sweater, then he'll match it with nice blue jeans.
He took them from the wardrobe and put them on, then he strolled over to the mirror in his room and stood in front of it glancing at his reflection. And the outfits really looked good on him, it made him more handsome. Smiling at his reflection in the mirror, he walked away from it. He wanted to comb his hair and style it the way he wanted, but he decided to eat breakfast first.
He ate toasted bread and coffee for breakfast, yeah, he wasn't in the mood to cook anything. And even if he was in the mood to cook something, there was no time to do so. The main fact was that he felt like eating toasted bread and coffee for breakfast. After he was done eating, he strolled back to his room and began grooming himself, he wanted to look as handsome as ever.
He focused on his hair as he styled and positioned it the way he wanted it to be, after he was done with that, he did some other little grooming before walking away from the mirror. Then he put on shoes, the only sneakers available in the room. Then he walked back to the parlor and sat on one of the sofas while watching the clock.
He was waiting for the clock to hit a certain time before he'll depart from his apartment. It reached the time he was waiting for, and he noticed it immediately 'cause his attention was there. He stood up from the couch, strolled back into the room, and glanced at his reflection in the mirror once again, he wanted to make sure that he was looking as cool as ever.
Satisfied with what he was seeing in the mirror, he strolled away from it, walked out of his room, and evacuated his apartment. He journeyed until he arrived at Meditation Lane, where Eva's edifice was located. Arriving at Meditation Lane, he strolled straight to the front of Eva's abode. Now, the same confusion, was she in or not?
He glanced around to see if anyone was watching him, and no one was, so he peeped through that small hole on her gate to see if her cars were in the compound, and they were there. Seeing her cars there reduced his confusion, this was more indication that she was in, most likely. So he sauntered over to that chair he sat on yesterday and sat on it once again.
If she drives off in one of her cars, he'll go and come back in the evening. But if she doesn't, he'll converse with her and try to make her fall for him. Sitting on that chair for close to 10 minutes, her gate opened, he was expecting her car to zoom out of it, but no, that didn't happen. Instead, Eva walked out of it looking so elegant and pretty...seems like she doesn't have plans of making use of any of her cars.
She wore a light blue gown matching it with light blue high heels, and she was wearing heavy makeup. When he saw her in the morning yesterday and spoke to her in the evening, she was putting on very light makeup, and she was still looking as beautiful as ever. But the heavy makeup wasn't bad though, she still looked beautiful on it.
After locking her gate, she began sauntering, and Leonard began wondering why she decided to trek to work now that she was putting on high heels. You know, walking on high heels wasn't easy, but that wasn't the case for her, she was walking so comfortably on them. She passed Leonard's front without noticing him, that's what he wanted.
He waited for her to walk some meters away from him, then he checked his dressing, wetted his lips, rubbed his palms together, and ran over to meet her. He halted her by holding her hands, then she turned around to see who the person was, and her gaze landed on Leonard. This was her reaction,
"You again? Like, seriously?".
"That's to show you that my feelings for you are sincere. I'm not a player, please, give me a chance". He said calmly.
She sighed and uttered, "Wow! you really stubborn, did none of the stuff I said yesterday enter your head? This is not about you being a player and all that, I don't like you, and once I don't like you, I'll never accept your feelings for me. Aren't you getting it?".
"Are you in a relationship or are you single?". Leonard inquired, he asked that with a reason.
