Chapter 2: Chapter 2
Class ended so Lily walked to her next class, Muggle studies. She had her book and the little duckie for the class. But she didn't know why she needed the rubber duck. Hearing the small giggles and talking through the hallways, Charlotte knew that the kids were about to enter. She quickly went over to her desk and waited for those huge wooden doors to open. When they finally did, the girl got up with a smile on her face that went from one ear to another and nodded her head for everyone to sit down.
Lily sat in a seat behind everyone with Apollo. ''Welcome, young ones!'' The teacher greeted them and scanned the room, trying to see if there were any familiar faces. ''Welcome to Muggle Studies everybody! My name is Charlotte Vernier, and I will be your Muggle Studies professor for the next 7 years! That is, in case you decide not to leave my class, which I hope you won't!'' Charlotte then winked in a sign of a joke and proceeded ''Since today is reserved for introductions, allow me to introduce myself first! As I already said, my name would be Charlotte, but you can call me Char. I was born and raised in Paris, France and I went to the French school of witchcraft and wizardry, Beauxbatons Academy of Magic.''
The professor then pointed at the board ''One of my hobbies and talents would be drawing, so the stuff that you see on the board was drawn by me! Nevertheless, it is time for you, my dears, to introduce yourself! I would like you to write a letter for me, where you tell me the next things.'' Charlotte quickly went over to the board and wrote down a few questions.
''Last but certainly not least! I left all of you some candy on the table, so feel free to eat them! Or better, save them for after lunch~'' she smiled at them, and went back to her desk, patiently waiting to see those letters.
Lily looked at her table and made a disgusted face and gave her candy to Apollo. She mouthed 'You can have it. I don't really like handouts.' This made her friend chuckle a bit. She glared at him which made him stop.
Lily began to write on a piece of paper.
Dear Miss Vernier,
Hello, I'm Lily! I'm a Ravenclaw and I'm 11. Muggle Studies looks like a class to take. I want to know a lot about the Muggles and how they live their lives differently than us all. I gave away my candy because they were gummy, and I don't like gummies. I think you're a really good teacher already.
The little girl got done writing and walked to the teacher's desk setting her paper on the desk. "Here you go Ma'am." Lily walked back to her desk and talked to her friend Apollo until class was over with. When class was over it was time for lunch. All the students went to the great hall to eat their food. Lily sat at her table and texted her friends. 'I didn't see the teen yet. Wish me luck...' 'Good luck Lily.' her friend Camelia texted back. Lily smiled at the text. They all kept on texting until they had class again.
As everyone had taken their seats Camellia smiled at them all before starting "Hello everyone, welcome to your first Herbology lesson. I am Professor Joyce and I will be your teacher for the next seven years." She started looking at each of the faces in the class. Just as she was about to start talking again, the door flew open with a boy panting saying "I'm sorry I'm late, I got lost," he said, a slight smile crept onto Camellia's face "It's ok take your seat, I was just about to tell everyone what we are doing today" She said and waited for the boy to take up a spare seat near the front of the class. "Okay what we will be doing today is we are going to do a little get to know you Herbology style." As she said this she got a few confused looks from around the class "Sounds a little strange does it? Well that is as it is. What it is, is I have an entire garden of plants in this greenhouse. What I want you all to do is pick a plant that you like, remember the name of it. Then sit back down and we will go around the class saying the plant we picked and some info about us" she said hoping she had been clear in what she wanted. Camellia leaned against her desk with everyone in her class looking scared to move. "Okay I would like you all to go get the plant now"
As all her students went off to pick a plant Camellia walked to the other side of her desk pulling out a plant of her own. She pulled her chair out, placing it in front of her desk and sat down. Camellia sat in silence until everyone in her first years was back in their seats. "Okay I am going to start and when it is your turn you will do as I have done so pay attention." she said as she reached behind her and grabbed the plant. "Hello, I am Professor Joyce, When at Hogwarts I was in Gryffindor, the plant that I have picked is Aloe Vera, I chose this plant as I have always admired from when I was a child and something interesting to know about me is that during my first years at Hogwarts I didn't like Herbology." Camellia ended. "So in case you missed it I would like your name, house, plant you picked and why as well as a fun fact about you. We will go by row left to right." she said as she gestured to the boy sitting in the front left side. "Hello... My name is Jasper Rain... I am in Ravenclaw. The plant I picked is Moly, I picked this plant as it looked pretty... and... A fun fact about me is that although I am pure-blood my parents raised me like a muggle." The young boy concluded. "Very good Mr Rain, next" she said.
Camellia sat listening to all her students and very enjoyed getting to know them better. A rising excitement was rising in her stomach with every student that passed.
Alex stood up and began to speak. "Hello, my name is Lily. The plant that I picked are lilies. They are my favorite flowers so it wasn't hard to pick. Lilies are a group of flowering plants which are important in culture and literature in much of the world. Also I really like being in this class because it's dealing with nature." Lily smiled at everyone and began to talk again. "Miss Camellia, thanks for having me in your class. I really love being here and you're an amazing teacher." Lily sat back down and read a book. He's not here either. For the last few weeks I'll be going home.
When classes were over Lily texted her friends to come to her room for a sleepover. Lily already had everything planned. Good thing all the students' things came last sunday. A girl named Alex pushed Lily down. "Hey, you masked freak! Where's your dumb brother this time?" The girl with brown hair and white strips in her hair. Her eyes were light blue and brown. "Answer me, you silly American!" This time the girl shouted, making people look at her, but she ignored the eyes.
"H-he's at his house…" Lily stuttered while she looked at the floor. Alex was and still is Lily's bully. They used to be friends until Alex found new friends. Alex grabbed the girl's hair, making her look at her. Lily groaned in pain as she looked the girl in the eyes. "What do you want this time? Why can't you just leave me alone?" Alex smirked and let go of Lily's hair.
"Wow you really are weak. You asked me what I wanted from you. Well I want you to fucking die!" Alex felt arms around her. "He babes!" Alex smiled as she felt her girlfriend's arms around her waist. "Mercedes, this is the freak I was telling you about." Mercedes let go of Alex and looked at the girl.
"Babe you should leave her alone. I've been telling you that for a week now." Alex looked at her girlfriend and rolled her eyes. "You can go, little one. I'll watch her and make sure she doesn't chase you." Lily got up and ran to her room. "If you go after her we're over." Mercedes looked her girlfriend in her eyes. "And that's a promise, Alex." Mercedes walked away from Alex.
Lily walked to her room, her friends weren't there yet. You could have punched her in the face. You've become weak for these humans. Alex was right, you should die. It would be less stressful for everyone if you did. I mean you're so annoying anyway. Clay and Drista should have left you to suffer that one day. The voices got louder every minute. Lily covered her ears trying to shut them up. Lily had these voices ever since she was the age six. They would always let her 'know that she's useless.' A knock on the door was heard and Lily didn't realize that she was crying. Lily wiped the tears off her face and opened the door. Lily forced a smile. "Hey guys!" Everyone walked in her room and looked around her room. Lily had led lights around her room. Her walls were blue and green with pink clouds, she had a gaming pc, Xbox, Playstations and a Wii. She had cosplay stuff in the closet and bats almost everywhere. Her bed was pink and white.
