Chapter 10: Chapter 10: News and Hydra
(A/N Just so everyone knows Ardyn is kind of a glass cannon right now. He is strong but can still be hurt easily.)
Ardyn was getting a ride back to the college with Scott and Jean in the car. Scott did not say much but Jean kept apologizing for what happened. Ardyn didn't say anything the whole ride.
When they finally got to the college Ardyn opened his door to leave but before he left he said "Listen Jean, Scott. I'm not mad at either of you so don't act all awkward and stuff. However when it comes to your group I just can't agree with them. I hope our paths don't cross when I am doing my other work."
They both just nodded. Ardyn then got out of the car and headed over to his motorcycle to make his way back home.
When Ardyn got home Talia and Anna were downstairs in the living room watching tv. However when they saw Ardyn they both were in shock. He did not have any noticeable damage anymore but his clothes were torn and bloody.
Anna ran up to him and started to check him "Are you okay? What happened? What should we do? Who did this? Let's get back at them."
Ardyn just started to chuckle "Calm down I will explain it."
Talia just looked over from the couch "What happened?"
Ardyn smirked "I angered a big cat and this was the result. I'm fine don't worry. I pretty much told the X-Men that if they get in our way we will have to fight."
Talia sighed "Okay I guess that was to be expected anyways. So what's the plan now?"
Ardyn smiled "Well we are going to raid the hydra base on Friday night. I'm going to text the girl I met."
Anna eyes widen a bit "What girl?"
Ardyn was surprised "Oh yeah guess you were already asleep. This one girl I ran into was fighting some hydra members she said she would be happy to destroy their base with us."
Anna narrowed her eyes "Oh."
Internally Anna did not realize yet but the word challenger popped into her head. They stopped the conversation there. Ardyn then planned out the strategy and skipped the next two days of school to get ready for the fight.
Friday during the day Ardyn called Laura
Ardyn smiled when she picked up "Hey it's Ardyn we are raiding the hydra base tonight."
Laura smiled on the other end "Can't wait. What time."
Ardyn moved his head back and forth "Midnight."
Laura then hung up.
Ardyn smiled and thought about time we go and destroy their bases. Ardyn turned on the news to see what was happening around the world. The first thing Ardyn saw was Tony Stark standing up at a podium.
Tony Stark "I am Iron Man."
Ardyn shrugged his shoulders "About time he said it I mean everyone else should have known anyways who else is smart enough to build that shit."
Ardyn flipped the channel. This lady on the news said "Captain America found frozen. Chance for revival."
Ardyn was shocked this time. "Things are moving faster then I anticipated. I'm going to need to move up my plans and training. I would love to fight him one on one."
Ardyn then turned the TV off after watching some more and went down to train with his two favorite weapons besides his sword Masamune.
The two weapons Ardyn started to use on the test dummies is a rope dart an a chain whip both were good for a longer range then his sword.
The rope dart could go out to seven meters easily with Ardyn's strength an accuracy. The chain whip however was even more deadly. It was not good in an enclosed space but with an open area. Ardyn has been able to kill multiple people with it in a three meter diameter. He was going to bring both tonight just in case something unexpected happened.
Eventually it became ten at night. Ardyn explained the plan to Talia and Anna.
Talia sighed "So the plan is to just hit them hard and fast?"
Ardyn nodded "Yeah from the surveillance we have gathered as well as information there should be no meta individuals there or anything like that. Even if there is I'm sure Laura an I could take care of it. Or even if Anna gets the jump on them she could just absorb their powers an energy."
Anna nodded "Hydra is going to regret everything they have done."
Talia sighed "Alright let's at least not cause a commotion until we are inside."
Ardyn nodded "Yeah no problem let's get going. Everyone suit up."
A couple minutes later
Ardyn was waiting by the car for the two. Ardyn currently was wearing a stealth suit that he made himself. The body portion was grey and black with a dark red belt to hold his rope dart. He was then wearing a Jack Skellington like mask. The mask had the ability to be unzipped as well to uncover his mouth for whenever he needed. He then also had a pure black hood like scarf that trailed down to his lower back and covered up the chain sword on his back.
Ardyn then noticed the two girls finally coming out. Talia was in her normal assassins gear. Ardyn always said the leather was too tight around her body. But she would always counter by saying it makes it easier to move. It was all black minus the dark blue glove and belt. Ardyn rolled his eyes as he noticed his sister purposely didn't zip up her suit all the way showing too much cleavage in his opinion.
Ardyn then looked at Anna who had a skin tight suit as well however no skin was showing. It was mostly black with some dark green added. (Her X men suit just different colors.) Her hair was a reddish brunette. Except for a big portion of the front of her hair that was white.
Ardyn must have been staring too long at Anna because Talia coughed saying "Pervert.
Ardyn looked at Talia and then back at Anna who was blushing. Ardyn cleared his throat "Anyways let's go since we are ready."
At midnight
Ardyn, Talia, an Anna were standing on a roof across from the shady Hydra bar that they were about to enter.
Talia sighed "She's late."
Ardyn rolled his eyes "Don't worry she will show up."
Anna was just sitting down waiting to start. She was actually building up a lot of anticipation. Ardyn and Talia did not realize it but Anna had changed a lot because of her first kill. In her head currently she was thinking about all the brutal ways she could possible kill these hydra scum she was about to run into. She has been learning from Talia how to fight with a dagger and she was excited to start getting ready.
They had been waiting longer then expected for Laura.
Talia annoyed said "Listen I have never met this bitch. How do we even know she is trust worthy. She is probably scared to even face hydra."
The three then heard a cough "Scared to face who? Definitely not you."
The three turned around to see Laura Kinney there. Talia frowned "I could definitely kick your ass."
Laura had a big smiled and let her claws out as she slowly walked up until her claws were softly touching Talias chin "I'd like to see you try."
Talia smirked "Try it."
Ardyn coughed "As much as I would love to see a match between you two. We are here to fight Hydra."
Laura retracted her claws and rolled her eyes "I know let's get on with it."
Ardyn nodded "Okay Anna and Talia you two take the sides and get the guards outside. Once you take down the four. Laura and I will wait for your signal. Then we will charge the front door and you two follow behind."
Talia an Anna nodded. Ardyn smiled "Okay go."
Talia an Anna went separate directions as they got ready to kill their targets. Ardyn turned to Laura "Make sure you can keep up."
Laura smirked "Should be easy."
Ardyn sighed and moved in front of her until Ardyn was up on her looking down on her. Ardyn was six foot four and Laura was five foot four.
Ardyn got extremely serious and released his killing intent. Laura was actually shocked and instinctively took out her claws but her whole being was saying to run. Ardyn looked down at her staring in her eyes "You ever try to seriously fight or kill my sister no amount of Adamantium will stop me from decapitating you. Got it?"
Laura just nodded yes not saying a word. Ardyn relaxed and went back to normal. Laura was genuinely scared she saw one of Ardyn's eyes go a deep crimson red.
After a couple minutes it was awkward as neither of them have said a word. Laura then said "It's taking them awhile huh?"
Ardyn sighed "Yeah I was hoping we could just start fighting right away."
Ardyn then was thinking of something to talk about and then it clicked "Hey how well do you know your dad?"
Laura tilted her head confused "Just another asshole. I don't really view him as a dad."
Ardyn nodded "Good because when I brought you up he stabbed me in the ribs with his claws."
Laura shook her head "Why the fuck were you talking to him in the first place?"
Ardyn shrugged "The X-men wanted to talk to me. He was there. I could feel the same metal going through his blood as yours. I asked about you and he stabbed me. Good guy honestly."
Laura laughed "He's a prick don't worry about."
They both started to laugh alleviating the awkward atmosphere from before. Ardyn then saw a dagger land in front of his feet. He picked it up and smiled "That's the signal."
