Chapter 2: Chapter 2: A Bloody Mess
There once was a species know for their insane healing capabilities, this species had many names. The most common being diaboli or devil.

Upon opening the door the leader could only let out a frightened squeal. Standing in front of him was Grey's mother; Shelby Arbor, the strongest person in the whole village, dressed in a black coat with a golden sword at her hip. She was normal looking, with a smaller build and pitch black hair similar to Grey's. However, her eyes were a dark red that seemed to pierce the hearts of the delinquents in the room. The delinquents could not help but look down upon making eye contact, her eyes were filled with the fury a mother could only know. After making sure the delinquents were not going to retaliate she began to search the room for her precious son, eventually finding his bloody body in the corner of the room. As soon as she saw Grey a noticeable temperature drop could be felt in the room.
"It looks like y'all had a lot of fun with my precious boy, would any of you care to explain yourselves?" Shelby spoke venomously. The leader sensing the impending doom facing him and his fellow delinquents began pleading towards Shelby, "Look Mrs. Arbor, my friends and I were just having a little fun with him, we had to show him his place in this village." While the leader continued to plead his case, saying their actions were justified, the other delinquents were looking at him with their eyes, trying to tell him to shut up.
The leader did not take any notice and continued to spew nonsense. Shelby's mood continued to worsen the more she heard from the leader. Eventually she cut him off, saying "So because of your feelings of inferiority you choose to attack my son, who did nothing to you?" The leader could only silently listen, because if he said anything else he felt like it would only make the situation worse. Shelby then states "I believe a punishment is in store, what do y'all think would be a fair punishment?" All of the delinquents looked at each other, unsure of how to respond. One of the braver, or dumber depending on how you look at it, voiced his opinion. He states "We didn't do any permanent harm to Grey so maybe just a finger?" Shelby seems to ponder this idea, "You know I like this idea! I am just going to change it up a little, instead of only losing one finger, you'll lose all but one. I will be nice today and let you choose which finger you want to keep." The delinquents stared at her unsure if it was a joke, Shelby looked at them with a serious face, clearly not joking.
This punishment seems severe, however, in their village everyone had extreme healing powers. Any of their kind could heal from a mortal wound such as losing a hand or an arm in a few weeks. However, their insane power of healing does not take away the pain of losing all of your fingers.
The delinquents thinking similar things, not wanting to feel pain, began looking for an escape route. However, thanks to their clever planning there were no escapes besides the door that Shelby was currently blocking. Realizing their defeat they collapsed to floor holding out their shaking hand towards Shelby, awaiting their punishments.
Mrs. Arbor slowly approached them, bloodlust still pouring out of her. She stares at each delinquent with her dark red eyes, before she states "Since I am so nice, I will make this swift." She then takes her golden sword resting at her hip and swings it in one expert arc, cutting off each delinquent's 9 fingers in one clean swoop.
The delinquents stared at their fingers in shock, before screaming their heads off, Mrs. Arbor stared at them and said "Be glad I did this instead of talking to the chief, or your punishment would have been much worse." The delinquents looked at her in silence and sprinted out of the dilapidated building. Once the last delinquent left Mrs. Arbor sprinted to the lifeless Grey, tears began forming in the corners of her eyes. "Please tell me you are still with me Grey".
