Chapter 20: Chapter 18
As the footprints started to glowing and sun like sphere started to rotate at great speed.But Alex felt small connection it was same with Billy and Kimberly,but not to the level like Zordon described.Also he didn't feel any connection to the Morphing grid.Alex had an idea this wouldn't work because according to Zordon they needed to connect with each other,which isn't possible because Trini,Jason and Zack were practically strangers to them.While the Kimberly,Alex and Billy had known each other since they were kids.So they had a much better emotional connection than the other three.When the glowing sun like sphere suddenly went dim and stopped spinning except for Alex everyone else looked confused.
Kimberly looking at her hands asked "What? What? Did It worked?"
Zordon questioned"Alpha 5, why they didn't they morph?"
Alpha also was confused answered"I do not know, sir."
Zordon frowned and started muttering" It is disturbing.Very disturbing."
Alex who already guessed it said"I knew there was chance of this happening."
This caught Zordon,Alpha and others attention as Zordon questioned"What do you mean by that,Alex?"
Alex sighed and explained"You said we bring out the armor by connecting to each other.Their lies the problem other Billy,Kimberly and me who are childhood friends,the rest are just strangers.So my guess the small connection we felt from the start is from us three,while if we really want to morph then we will have to know each other."
Zordon nodded it's an accurate assessment and it did make sense these teenagers where strangers except for Kimberly,Alex and Billy so asking them to connect with each other immediately would be impossible.
Zordon mutteres"This might take some time.But the problem is we don't have time!"
Alpha questioned"If they can't morph,what are we supposed to do?"
Zordon replied"They will have to train without armor, they need to prepare."
Alpha was slightly suprised"Without armor?Sir that will be very painful."
Zordon nodded and replied"Yes they must know how to fight,from what I see only Alex has some fighting experience the rest are not ready.So take them down to the pit."
Alpha understood simply turned to evryone and said"Alright, follow me.We are going to the pit!"
Billy gulped with slight fear said"Alex, I don't want to find out what the pit is."
As Alpha gestured them to follow him as all of them followed them as he showed them a cavern as Alpha with slight excitement said"
So, This is the pit.It's nice, right?"
Zordon's voice echoes in the cave,Alex also noticed the ceiling light up whenever Zordon talks"Alpha 5, begin the exercise."
Alpha with an apologetic tone said"Sorry, guys."
Jason looked around with doubt asked"What exercise?"
Zack tried to act cool spoke up"Chill out dude."
As rocks around started to gather together to form a monster which was significantly larger than humans, are created from rocks.
Alex was studying them as he noticed all of them seems to extra arms on their side or back.Alex was thoughtful"If I remember correctly putties from Mighty Morphin Power rangers had a weakness,which was the chest area."
As his thoughts were broken by Zordon explaining"These creatures before you are simulations of Rita's army.They are called putties,you must get through them.. to get to her."
Zack was in complete disbelief started walking towards putties without fear saying Relax, guys. It's a hologram.Like video games."
Zack made a mistake of looking away from them,as one of putties back handed him,sending him flying and crashing to the side of the cave wall.
Alex,Kimberly,Billy ans Jason winced seeing this,while Trini laughed.As Zack who spits some blood mutters"Not a video game."
