Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Field Trip?

Sarada winced in pain as she was punched in the stomach, the force of the blow sending her tumbling to the ground. "Urgh!" she groaned, struggling to catch her breath.

"Oi, Uchiha. Dodge, don't just stay there," Boruto chided her, his three Tomoe Sharingan spinning rapidly as he prepared for their next round.

"I'm trying, you're moving too fast," Sarada protested, standing up and glaring at Boruto with one Tomoe Sharingan.

"Hah? So you want me to slow it down. I thought you wanted to be Hokage," Boruto taunted her, a mocking grin on his face. "If you want to be better with your Sharingan, your body has to move faster than your reaction time."

"I know, dammit!" Sarada gritted her teeth, frustration and pain making her short-tempered. In her mind, she added, 'He does this every day. No wonder he's so strong.'

With a deep breath, Sarada steadied herself and prepared for the next round.

Sarada's eyes were fixed on Boruto as she tracked his movements, her mind racing as she tried to anticipate his next move. Suddenly, Boruto flickered and appeared right in front of her, his hand already pulled back to launch a punch.

Instinctively, Sarada raised her arms to block the blow, but then she remembered what Boruto had told her earlier. She wouldn't get stronger if she kept on blocking. With a surge of determination, she made a split-second decision and darted forward, running straight at Boruto.

With a jump kick, she aimed for Boruto's head, but he was too quick for her. He caught her leg in mid-air, his grip like a vice. But Sarada wasn't done yet. With lightning-fast reflexes, she spun around and launched an upward kick with her left leg, catching Boruto off guard and causing him to release her.

As she landed back on the ground, Sarada felt a rush of adrenaline coursing through her veins. She had managed to land a hit on Boruto, even if it was just a glancing blow. But she knew that she couldn't let her guard down. Boruto was a tough opponent, and he wouldn't go easy on her just because she was his friend.

Taking a deep breath, Sarada braced herself.

Boruto's voice echoed through the training ground, a mix of admiration and challenge in his tone. "Amazing, Sarada. You've stopped being afraid in close quarter combat with me. This is going to be so much fun."

Sarada's eyes narrowed as she watched Boruto flicker and appear right in front of her. She knew what was coming, but her body wasn't fast enough to react in time. With a loud grunt, she blocked the incoming attack, but the force of the blow sent her flying backward, pain shooting through her body.

"Stand up, Uchiha Sarada. This training is far from over," Boruto taunted her, a grin spreading across his face.

Sarada gritted her teeth and pushed herself up, her body aching all over. She knew that she couldn't give up now. Boruto was one of the strongest opponents she had ever faced, and she was determined to prove herself to him.

"I know," she muttered, entering her fighting stance once again.

Boruto's grin widened as he watched her. "I hope you'll be able to copy my fighting style," he said, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

Sarada felt a surge of determination course through her as she prepared to face him once again. She knew that she had a long way to go before she could match Boruto's skill, but she was willing to put in the work. With a deep breath, she focused all her energy on the task at hand, ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead.

Several hours had passed, and both Sarada and Boruto were exhausted from their intense training session. Now, they were taking a moment to rest, with Boruto sitting on the ground and Sarada's head resting on his lap as he healed her injuries with his Mystical Hand Jutsu.

"Can I sit?" Sarada asked, attempting to push herself up.

"No, just stay on my lap," Boruto replied, his hand continuing to glow with healing energy.

Sarada sighed and settled back down. As she stared up at Boruto's face, she found herself wanting to ask him something. "Boruto, I have a question," she started.

"Hmm?" Boruto looked down at her, curious.

"Are you ever going to cut your hair? You're starting to look like a samurai with it so long," Sarada commented.

"Do you not like it?" Boruto asked, sounding a bit surprised.

"Umm... I think it would look better if you cut it," Sarada admitted, looking away to hide her blush.

Boruto chuckled and, using a Chakra blade conjured from his finger, he cut his hair. "Done," he declared, grinning at Sarada.

"Stupid Boruto," Sarada muttered, turning her head away to hide her smile.

Boruto just laughed, finding Sarada's bashful reaction endearing.

On the following day,

Shino stood at the front of the classroom, with Sumire, the class representative, standing by his side. "The Academy is organizing a field trip outside of the village. I want everyone to exercise extreme caution, as we will be visiting another village. Nanadaime and the Mizukage have made arrangements for our visit, so please, do not cause any problems. Remember, you are representing our village," Shino instructed. His words were stern, but his frustration was evident as he watched Boruto doing handstand push-ups at the back of the classroom.

"I have chosen the leader for the field trip, and it will be Boruto," Shino announced, causing a stir among the students.

Sumire dutifully wrote Boruto's name on the blackboard as the designated leader. Boruto, meanwhile, paused his push-ups to respond. "Sure, it's not that hard to monitor a few kids," he said nonchalantly.

His words stung, and several students looked insulted, except for Shikadai, Sarada, Chocho, Inojin, Iwabe, and Metal. "What? If you don't want me to call you kids, get stronger," Boruto retorted, giving them a challenging stare.

"Boruto, stop bullying them. Meet me after class, I need to talk to you about the field trip," Shino interjected, trying to defuse the situation.

"Alright," Boruto replied, resuming his handstand push-ups.

With that, Shino dismissed the class, leaving the students to digest the news about their upcoming field trip and their appointed leader.

Boruto walked up to the front of the classroom, his demeanor confident and assured. "As your leader for the upcoming field trip, I would like to give a short speech. During the trip, I will assign my clones to each of you. In case of an attack, my clones will be there to protect you. We all know that the Land of Water has a bad history, and with our Hokage's history with it, we must be prepared to fight," he said, his voice ringing with authority.

One of the students piped up, "But what if nothing bad happens?"

"Then that's great! You can all have fun while we're in the Land of Water," Boruto replied with a grin. "Are there any other questions?"

Another student spoke up, "What should we do if your clones disappear?"

"Don't worry about it. My clones are strong and won't disappear easily. But if that does happen, I will be there to protect you," Boruto reassured them.

The students nodded in understanding, feeling more at ease with Boruto's leadership. They knew that they were in good hands and that Boruto would do everything in his power to keep them safe during their trip to the Land of Water.
