Chapter 33: Chapter 33 A long past
Mr Jing Yue was her sister's boss?! Tang Moyu couldn't believe it!
"It's a pleasure meeting you Mr Jing Yue," she said as she stepped forward with a smile and stretched her hand to him.
They briefly shook hands and he immediately let go. Looking at Tang Ning, he asked," How is the patient?"
She glanced at her sleeping father and said," He is sleeping now but he's fine. You didn't have to waste your time coming here."
"It is no bother. You take good care of my children and I can only do this to return the favor," he said. "Thank you so much," she said. "Since he's sleeping, I I will take my leave," he announced. "Okay. I will walk you outside," she said and looked at her sister.
"I will be right back," she told her before following him out.
"I didn't hope that you would be close by when I called," she confessed when they reached outside. "Yeah. I was in a nearby store," he informed to which she nodded. "How much did everything cost?" he asked.
"Uh, we haven't yet talked about the cost but I think it won't be that much," she said. "I want to meet that friend of yours, the owner of the hospital and we talk about the payment," he said surprising her.
"You don't have to worry about that Mr Jing Yue. I will take care of it."
"I insist. I don't want you having debts if you're working for me," he said.
Asking the way to the CEO'S office, they were directed. Reaching inside, Feng Shufen immediately recognized Jing Yue and he stood up to greet him. After a handshake, they all took their seats. "It is so nice meeting you Mr Jing Yue," said Feng Shufen once again. "I'm delighted to meet you too," he responded and he briefly glanced at Tang Ning who had a poker face.
Seeing the two together, Feng Shufen wondered how they knew each other.
"I will not waste your time doctor Feng. I am here to speak about Tang Ning," he said and Feng Shufen looked at her questioningly but she didn't give anything away.
"I first of all want to thank you for helping in saving her father's life," he said to which he nodded. "You don't have to thank me. Tang Ning and I have a long past together and I can literally do anything for her," he said looking at her which Jing Yue noticed very well. "That is great. I want to know the total amount she owes you," he said.
"Oh, why's that Mr Jing Yue?" asked Feng Shufen.
"She is my employee, that's why," he replied and Tang Ning just prayed that he doesn't reveal that she is the nanny to his kids because it will make Feng Shufen know that little Huan is not her daughter as she had lied. "Oh, I now understand. But you shouldn't worry about that Mr Jing Yue. I will discuss it with her," he said and Jing Yue didn't seem to be pleased with the statement. Tang Ning on noticing the situation that was going to become tense intervened and she said," Feng Shufen, it is alright you can tell him. Since he's my boss, he would like to know how much he will give me since I will be working to repay it."
He looked at her and said," But I wasn't doing this for money. You know why I did it."
"I don't want her to owe anyone anything," intervened Jing Yue and Feng Shufen found it to be a little odd that he was being overly concerned about the issue. Sighing, he said," Two hundred and fifty thousand Yuan." "Is that all?" he asked. "Yes." "Fine. It will be deposited first thing in the morning," he said.
Tang Ning walked Jing Yue to the parking because she thought it was the most appropriate thing to do. "Thank you for coming once again Mr Jing Yue and for clearing the bill. I promise to pay you back," she said.
"Alright. I will leave now," he said and Tang Ning sensed something to be off about him. It was as if he was upset with her or something.
As he started walking away, she said, "Please tell the twins that I miss them." "I will," he replied and got into his car.
She stood as she watched him leave until his car was out of sight. Now that her father was okay, she was much calmer. She didn't know what she was going to do about these strange feelings for him.
Going to her father's room, Tang Moyu said," You didn't tell me that you were working for Mr Jing Yue." "Why?" she asked.
"What do you mean by why? He's a big fish," she said. "You want to mean that he's rich?" she asked
"Yes. He's also very handsome. Tell me, do you get to spend time with him more often?" she asked. "No. He's always busy at work," she said. "Alright I want to become friends with him. I will often be visiting when you get back to work," she said. Remembering that she didn't have a good reputation in her boss's eyes, she said," Okay. You can go back home, I will sleep here."
"Alright. Have a good night," she said and got up before leaving the room.
In the morning, Tang Ning got up from the couch where she had slept and she looked at her father who was already awake.
"Father, how was your night?" "Not bad. How did you sleep? It must have been uncomfortable," he said. "Not really. I'm great after knowing that you're okay now," she said. "Where's your sister?" he asked looking around. "I told her to leave," she said before adding," Are you hurting anywhere?" "Not really. I just want to use the bathroom," he said. "Alright. Let me go and inform the nurses," she said and left the room.
