Chapter 101: Trial or torture part 1
I didn't think my mind would survive this. I really didn't so I began to search through my memories for anything to would help survive and stay sane. There were anti torture methods people used to keep themselves from losing their minds. Me being the bored kid that I was, searched through the internet extensively about it in my past life. It was understandable, I was a walking library on the move. The amount of useless shit I have in my head was insane.
But I soon understood that there was nothing that would help me against this level of physical and psychological torture.
"Drak, there's an issue, I don't think I will be able to withstand the pain without losing my mind due to it." I said truthfully. I would be lying if I said I wasn't fearful of losing my mind.

Otherwise, it will haunt your dreams for the rest of your life.] he said. His words took all the pressure that was building off of my chest.
Since that was the case there was nothing to worry about, but I suddenly thought of something, how could one fail with so much protection? Drak, as if reading my mind answered my question.
[One can fail due to not being able to take the pain. If the mind is not strong enough, the body will break down and the reconstruction will not be completed perfectly. That means injuries and possibly even death. There is no safety in the body Trial, you must complete it once you start or it's over. The mind trial is different, the mind and soul must be safe since they are much more important. The body will heal with time, but the mind and soul, no-no, that may never heal again.] he said solemnly.
I understood. If I can't take the pain and black out, the body will fail me. That is different from the safety measures. They only stopped me from losing my sanity. Not helping me endure. They were different things. It seemed I was in for a long and hellish road. I could only sigh one last time before nodding.
"I'm ready, let's get this over and done with." I said resolutely.
{Hehehe, commendable resolve, let's see if it will survive this trial,} said Achyls with a devilish laugh.
[no more nonsense Achlys, let's start,] said Drak with incredible seriousness.
{why so serious, smile a bit, it wont hurt,} he said before staying quiet.
[Tom be prepared, it will start immediately, I pray for your success as there is nothing I can do to help for you in the body trial.]
"Understood, I wouldn't want it any other way," I said truthfully. I wanted to see just how much I could endure. Just how much pain I was willing to go through to achieve my goals. It was do or die. If I can't even get passed this, then I there is no point in moving forward with my plan.

The magic circle began to light up with a red glow, and seep into my skin. I was originally comfortable where I sat, but soon, my butt began to hurt like I had been sitting on a car seat for 8 hours straight. It was painful just sitting there. But that was when the heat started to arrive.
It started off with the heat you would feel on a summer's day, about 30 degrees Celsius. And began to rise until it hit 40. That blistering heat you feel when you step on the hot road barefoot, it spread all over my skin. At 50, I felt intense pain all over my body, the kind that you felt when you put your hand on a hot stove and kept it there. It initially felt cold but then you realise it was just too hot for you body to react. You only felt it when you body began to burn. At 60 the pain was beginning to become overwhelming, sweat seeped out of my pores only to evaporate instantly.
I looked around and saw a bubble that surrounded me, 2 meters in diameter. A red hue was coming off of it. I assumed that was what generated the heat, but I was feeling too much pain to bother thinking about it anymore, the pain multiplayer was doing its job very well. I was sitting cross-legged on the floor but that didn't last long. there was an uncomfortable feeling that accompanied the pain, as if coming from my bones themselves. I couldn't stay in the same position. I shifted to a kneeling position with both my knees and hands touching the ground for support.
It was still escalating; it was no longer heat. That faded a long time ago. What was left was raw and absolute pain. like it came from my innermost centre. It was unbearable. I stayed like that, like a stone sculpture until I couldn't possibly bear the pain any longer, and just when I was beginning to lose consciousness, the deconstruction of my body started to commence. The first of what I knew to be many. For a split second the pain disappeared, like it was never there, like it was all a bad dream I had just awoken from.
But I was too naïve, as soon as I sighed in comfort and relief, a wave of pain so severe, it put the pain I felt previously to shame. I tried to hold in the scream that was banging at my throat, begging to barge out. But if I let out this scream, it would only get worse. Hearing myself scream would do me no favours. I needed to hold strong, for my mental fortitude. But most importantly, for my survival.
