Chapter 18: [Chapter:18][First Spirit]
As Al stretched his hand, waves of extremely dense Spirit Power visible to the naked eye emanate from him, coalescing at the centre of his palm and materialising into a large 'egg'.
He glanced at the name of the Spirit.
'Spirit : Pokémon Egg'
"A Pokémon egg…seriously…?"
Al felt his lips twitch as he looked at the egg.
"And this is the most 'normal' of my Spirits too…"
((You can't blame me for that, I'm only responsible for using your RP to give you additional Spirits. What you awaken is entirely based on yourself.))
Al sighed as he heard Ella's words.
"Oh well. Just tell me how to hatch this."
Xia Yan and Xia Yun looked at Al, who appeared to be speaking to himself, strangely. But they shook their head and leaned on his body as they decided not to bother him and just enjoy the moment.
((Since it's your Spirit, of course, you need to use Spirit Power to hatch it. Send your Spirit Power into it. You'll even get a pleasant surprise if you do.))
"Oh?"
Al blinked in confusion, but didn't ask further. Since Ella didn't tell him, it shouldn't be anything detrimental to him, so why would he spoil himself?
Instead, he followed her instructions and sent his Spirit Power flowing through his hand and into the egg.
"It's sucking it all in and gobbling it up…gluttonous little egg."
Feeling his Spirit Power diminish at an alarming rate, he couldn't help but sigh in relief.
"Thank god I have Guo Liu's perk.", he muttered to himself as he glanced at the perks he got from the Meng brothers, Guo Liu, and the Xia twins.

Shared Soul : A Perk gained from achieving Max affection with the twins Xia Yun & Xia Yan. Share parts or whole of your 'Soul' with target(s).
Barbarian : A Perk gained from achieving Max loyalty with Meng Yi. Greatly increase physical parameters and development. When 'anger' reaches a certain limit, sacrifice rationality and greatly enhance all parameters, entering a 'Berserk' state.
Radiation Immunity : A Perk gained from achieving Max loyalty with Meng Er. Become immune to all forms of radiation, including but not limited to, ultra violet light, visible light, x-rays, alpha rays, beta rays, gamma rays, electromagnetic radiation, heat, microwaves, etc… .
Aim-Bot : A Perk gained from achieving Max loyalty with Meng Si. When aiming, automatically take on the 'best' and most 'perfect' posture, negate recoil, and achieve a 100% accuracy and hit rate as long as the shot / throw is not theoretically 'impossible'.
Holy-Demon : A Perk gained from achieving Max loyalty with Meng Wu. Allow possession and balancing of opposing forces / powers, including but not limited to, Holy-Unholy, Divine-Demonic, Sacred-Cursed, Fire-Water, Yin-Yang, Light-Darkness, etc… .
Tireless Machine : A Perk gained from achieving Max loyalty with Guo Liu. Infinitely increase recovery of all exhaustible quantities, including but not limited to, Mana, Magic, Energy, Life Force, Vitality, Essence, Spirit Power, Stamina, etc… .

"Finally, they are all unlocked."
Al sighed in relief while at the same time tried his best to contain his excitement as he looked at the perks he had.
Back when he had gained their loyalty and affection 20 months ago, Ella had suggested him to 'lock' the perks as they would change once they awakened their Spirits. And considering how 'normal' and 'lame' the perks they all, except for Tang San and the twins, gave him, Al didn't really hesitate either.
But now that he looked at the unlocked and changed perks, he felt giddy.
'Ella, I love you so much, did I ever tell you that?'

Al could imagine his little lover blushing with a silly smile on her face, but his focus remained on his Spirit Power.
"Infinite…truly infinite…"
His eyes shook as he confirmed it.
"Infinite Spirit Power…Infinite Mana…"
The other Perks were quiet good, especially 'Aim-Bot' which was literally a game-cheat come true.
Yet none of them could compare with the one Guo Liu gave him.
*crack*
"Ah! Brother Al's" "big egg is" "hatching!"
Al felt there was something wrong with the adorable twin's statement, but didn't care about that as he looked at the egg which actually began to actively devour his Spirit Power as crack after crack appeared on its white shelly surface.
*crack* *crack* *crack!*
"It took so much Spirit Power just to hatch…"
Even with practically bottomless reserves, Al felt his lips twitch.
((A normal Titled Douluo would be panting like a dog by now…but it wouldn't have taken so much if you had limited reserves. In a sense, you're lucky you got that perk now. More lucky than you think.))
"Huh…so it would have stopped and hatched while absorbing a lot less Spirit Power if I were sucked dry before? But I guess it'll have less 'potential' or whatever in that case then…"
It was just a guess of course, but to him who had been baptised by the hundreds and thousands of novels and fanfics of twentieth century, a cliche like that was no different from obvious.
((Yup~! If you had limited Spirit Power, it would have truly been a pity as the Spirit would have had limited potential. But now, it's talent would only be limited by the limits of the mortal world.))

Al nodded as he looked at the egg now bearing scores of cracks. At the same time, the amount of Spirit Power it absorbed from him reached absurd levels, to the point where he actually felt his Spirit Power Capacity visibly increase!
'This is insane…even when I totally exhaust my Spirit Power and recover it, the increase in capacity is less than a millionth…but now…'
Feeling his capacity increase by nearly a whole 1%, Al was genuinely shocked.
One cannot underestimate that 1%, because it meant limits that the world itself set on all Spirit Masters, mortal or God or even GodKing! Not even GodKings could go against the very fundamental rules that constitute their own existence, but now…!
It meant that, as little as it was, Al had surpassed the limits of the world by 1%!
'And this is just the side effect…what exactly are you, my first Spirit…'
