Chapter 3: collapse
Alex was irritated.
Spending a thousand years inside perpetual darkness, sending monsters to a school full of teenagers to get out of the darkness, were both terrible things, but by no means the worst thing he'd ever been through in his life.
The first option, he was barely conscious this entire time and his guilt and anger at himself kept him sane because he believed he should spend that time being punished. When the guilt and self-rage wore off, he had Seylah's presence to keep him warm.
When Seylah left the darkness sometimes, Alex had the company of some monsters he summoned to talk. So in fact, Alex wasn't truly alone for very long, he was left with his guilt for a long time, but in the end, the guilt was the company.
Now being chased by a three-species hybrid is something he never imagined would happen to him. Okay, Alex may have had a little guilt (just a little) for sending monsters to capture the object that was in the possession of the school where the hybrid studied.
But if you think about it, Alex was just trying to break out of his prison and never hurt anyone. For that reason, it was obvious that no one was hurt in every encounter with the monsters.
So it wasn't Alex's fault that the Tribido got hurt emotionally. and it wasn't Alex's fault that the hybrid has, because of the survivor guilt she has and having sacrificed herself to kill the clay monster and Alex along with it.
Alex then tired sat down on a chair inside a diner and looked up to see the girl with very angry eyes looking at him angrily.
He sighed in frustration and supported his face with his hand using the table as a base.
"OK. Sorry, I ended up causing some harm in your life, but, it's in the past! OK, let's do it, you leave me alone and I live my life" Alex snarled "So everyone leaves happy, OK?"
"Do you think a simple apology will undo everything you've done?" Hope raised her voice
She slaps the table hard, standing up aggressively. Things on the table swayed until they were held by Alex.
Hope looked at Alex angrily. This monster that destroyed her life was simply ignoring her, asking her to leave him alone. Hope didn't know whether to laugh or curse the monster's boldness.
"What the hell do you want me to do then?" Alex raised his voice back
"Are you guys going to want anything?" A waitress came to them
She had a worried smile and looked at Hope very cautiously, looking for any sign of the girl. Hope raised her hand to the waitress and smiled
"No, thanks" Hope laughed calmly "it's just my boyfriend, he's a cheating bastard!"
Hope sniffed drawing the attention of the waitress who looked at Alex with a lot of disappointment and her eyes narrowed at the sight of Alex.
"Boyfriend?" The waitress looked at Alex, "Traitor?"
She saw the handsome man but, absolutely of legal age and looked at Hope, she couldn't tell her age but it was clear the girl was under 22. The waitress was worried even though she knew there was nothing 'wrong' if Hope was 18 or older.
Alex on the other hand saw Hope's cruel smile, the silent words of 'either you cooperate with me or I destroy your reputation by putting on a show.
Alex felt anger rising inside him as he realized what was happening, looking around him didn't help. actually, it just messed him up, they were on a small-town shopping
But, with absolutely over 200 people in the place, he realized right away that a Hope Show at this place wouldn't be good for him.
But, Alex was not a normal man who would despair. He was a sheriff and also a mob boss. despite being a thousand years ago and in another world, but time aside, Alex had the capabilities to get rid of a Reputation Murder attempt.
"Girlfriend? You dare say that after sleeping with my son!" Alex yelled out loud
His yell was heard by much of the shopper drawing. the attention of everyone close to the table where he. Hope and the waitress were sitting, leaving Alex in evidence away from the reputation murder.
The whispers began and Hope found herself overwhelmed with her werewolf ears forcing her to hear everything. Even the very waitress who was comforting her turned her eyes away from her.
'Take this, brat!' Alex laughed at Hope
"I didn't sleep with Landon" Hope yelled 'not yet, I didn't have time thanks to you'
Hope screamed on impulse, she couldn't handle all those judgmental stares and then something came to her mind, Something she felt an unconscious pain of talking about, for some reason she didn't know.
"I was just comforting him as his idiot father left his mother to die alone and sad when he abandoned her" Hope screamed
Alex stopped, he felt a fury build up inside him and he wanted to cry.
'Seylah died?' Alex collapsed
"Seylah Died?" Alex asked desolately
'This doesn't look like a terrible monster' Hope thought confused 'something is wrong! Did I get the wrong person?'
Alex didn't even react to the fact that everyone was now looking at him with disgust. some with pity for realizing he was suffering and others with indifference. But Alex didn't think of anything. The only thing on his mind was that Seylah died and he couldn't do anything to help her.
He didn't even get a chance to see her one last time and worst of all, she didn't come back to him as monsters should. Having this instability of emotion, Alex's body couldn't support his human form. His eyes glowed red and out of pure instinct, a mist came out of his body.
'wait, is he going to run away again?' Hope thought on alert
She prepared to stop Alex from running away when she felt a strong impulse in her body telling her to back off. On instinct, Hope jumped backwards away from Alex at incredible speed.
"What the hell?" The waitress screamed in shock
The waitress left her mouth open in shock at the sight of Hope's superhuman movements. She didn't know how to react to what was happening and for a minute her mind travelled thinking she was on some filming or something.
"Get away from him" Hope yelled raising her hands to the waitress
She knew that now, Malivore was out of control. she had already experienced this with werewolves who had a strong emotional shock and became violent The point was werewolves weren't 1000-year-old golems with thousands of monsters inside them
Hope tried to cast a spell to protect the waitress, but it was too late to save the girl. Her fate was already decided.
"Seylah died?" Alex asked again in shock
He dropped into the chair, softening his body and when my body softened. he started to shake and at the same moment a hand came out of Alex's stomach
"Kyyyaaa" The waitress yelled
She couldn't believe what she was seeing, a horror scene that could only be seen in crappy movies of a hand coming out of someone else's body.
Hope froze too, but she froze for now knowing what Alex's control will be and making sure it won't be a fit of rage left her completely desperate and only one thing was going on her mind
'don't be a dragon' Hope Begged

A body came out of Alex after the hand that made Alex's body explode into pieces of clay all over the place. Everyone froze in surprise to see a very beautiful fair-skinned blonde woman without any clothes come out of the belly of a man who destroyed himself in mud.
She stood in front of Alex's body with a dead look as if she was waiting for something to act, similar to a robot that was powered by remote control.
A group of people froze, others fainted instantly, a group managed to run away screaming for help and a single man squinted at the woman.
"What kind of monster is this?" The man screamed and pulled out a revolver "It doesn't matter, I'll kill her"
'damn, what is she?' Hope wondered scared
Bang, Bang, Bang
Three shots were heard drawing the attention of Hope who looked at a man running towards the woman with a lot of anger in his eyes.
"No! You'll only piss her off" Hope yelled.
But, it was too late. the woman who was once looking like a robot squinted her eyes and looked at the man. She formed a cruel smile on her face and wings grew from her back.
'fuck, it was a dragon!' Hope cursed herself 'I have to stop her'
She started to take a breath to cast a spell to stun the dragon when she felt a sharp pain in her head and fell back losing consciousness.
"Die you monster" The man yelled running to the woman and shooting
One of the shots hit the dragon woman in the head and recoiled backwards. she raised her eyes to the man and laughed cruelly
"I'm free" The woman spoke a single word with immense joy as her body began to squirm.
"What the fuck is this? Why doesn't the Colt work?" The man screamed in terror looking at his weapon and got even more scared when her eyes lifted to the woman's direction "D-dragon?"
In front of the man was no longer a woman. but a large lizard with wings that were more than 15 meters in size with its head touching the ceiling.
"Lady" Waitress screamed in terror running to Hope
Arriving at Hope, the woman felt like throwing up when she saw a big hole in her head that looked like it was from a bullet. hope was dead
The waitress can only look at the sacred dragon who stood there for a moment looking at the man who shot her and then
"▂▂▃▃▅▅▅▅ーーー!!" The dragon roared
All the windows in the place were destroyed and Alex and Hope opened their eyes.
