Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Conflict

The room was silent as everyone stared at Will, most in fear, but others in relief.

Everyone watched as Will quickly marched towards where Elia was being held, then it looked as though he commanded the water to release her.

The men pointing the blades at her were still locked in place, trapped in the water as Will glared at them, his eyes promising a fate worse than death.

As soon as she was free, Elia embraced Will, tears pouring down her face as she wept. He held her for just a moment, but reluctantly let her go so she could kneel down to check on Rhaenys.

Looking towards what he assumed was the cause behind all of this, Will stared at Viserys, his thoughts going through the tortures he would inflict on him before he let him die.

He had spared this insolent little cunt for Elia, and it ended up hurting her. It would have been easier to just kill the fuck and be done with it. Sure Elia would have been sad, but she would have been fine.

Will even knew there was a greater than not chance of Viserys being like this, and yet he had still let it happen because he thought he was doing a good thing for her, but he could see now he was a fool.

He let the disease fester, now it was time to amputate.

It was at that moment his eyes flicked to the bloody form of Daenerys at Viserys' feet, and he appeared kneeling beside her before anyone could process his movement.

She was alive, but it was clear she had suffered a severe beating. Pulling a little bit of water from the air, Will touched the little girl, and it was then he truly saw the pain she had gone through.

Three cracked ribs, broken arm, missing two teeth, bruised face, fractured skull, internally bleeding, and so much more.

It was clear to see that Viserys wasn't just trying to teach her a lesson, but had wanted her to die.

Acting as quickly as he could, Will began to fix the worst of the damage, making sure she would be able to at least survive for a bit before he could heal her entirely.

Once she was stabilized, Will went back to Elia and Rhaenys, checking both of them over as well. Rhaenys wasn't nearly as hurt as Daenerys, but she did have some internal bleeding and had a fractured rib.

Elia had only been slapped around a few times and punched in the stomach, but it was clear she hadn't been hurt nearly as bad as the other two little girls.

Oberyn, Doran, and the three guards were quick to gather more soldiers into the room, going to each of the confined attackers.

Will let the soldiers take everyone to the dungeons, but made sure to take note of the ones who had been holding Elia. Their deaths would be extra special!

Viserys was left in his chair, Will wanting to deal with him rather than let the guards do it.

"What happened?!!" Will finally asked once the guards had taken all of the attackers away and it was just Doran, Oberyn, Elia and the kids left in the room.

"It started yesterday." Elia said, running a cloth over the unconscious form of Daenerys.

(Flashback)

(Elia Martell POV)

For most of the day, Elia had been with Rhaenys and Daenerys, teaching them their letters and other things a lady of their position would be expected to learn.

After a certain point in the day, it was clear that neither of them wanted to continue with their studies, so she had allowed them to go play in the Watergardens, accompanied by herself of course.

Aegon was spending his time with Doran and Oberyn, so she wasn't all that worried about him.

Half a dozen guards escorted them, and for a bit everything was good, then she turned her back to the girls for just a second, and when she looked back they were both gone.

At first she thought they were playing hide and seek, but after 20 minutes and not being able to find them, she started getting a little worried.

"Rhaenys! Daenerys!! Come here!!" She shouted, not using their cover names since only people who were extremely trusted were guarding them.

It was at that moment she realized something. The guards were gone as well.

She very much doubted they had betrayed her, knowing they had been with the Martell's for years, and they had been approved by Oberyn himself after a good background check.

Now in a full blown panic, Elia began to rush around the Watergardens in worry, and it was about this time that she ran outside near the docks where she was greeted by a shocking sight.

All six of the guards who had escorted her and the girls were dead, their bodies being dragged to an unfamiliar ship. Before she had the chance to scream or even run, a hand covered her mouth and dragged her towards the ship.

"I've been waiting for this moment for almost a year!" An all too familiar voice said, and Elia's eyes went wide at the recognition.

'NO, PLEASE NO! NOT HIM!!' Elia thought, terrified of what Viserys would do. She had come to realize that the boy she once knew was gone, and in his place was a sick twisted monster who got pleasure from looking down on people.

The person holding her spun her around so she could see Viserys, and he wasn't alone. He was holding Daenerys by her hair, making her stand on her toes to try and limit the pain.

The little girl was gagged, which explained why she hadn't cried out. Behind Viserys, another man was holding Rhaenys, but she looked like she was on the verge of passing out. Elia bit the man covering her mouth, causing him to let go over her with a startled yell.

"Why are you doing this, Viserys?!! We're your family!!" Elia cried as she tried to lunge at Viserys to free Daenerys from his grasp. Before she could make it however, a fist struck her in the stomach, doubling her over, followed by a slap to the face.

"I am a DRAGON!! You are nothing but sheep meant to serve me!! My brother might have taken pity and married you, but you will never have the blood that flows through my veins!" Viserys proclaimed angrily as he took a breath to calm himself down.

"I want my crown, and I'm going to use you and your brat to get it! Those buffoons you call brothers would do anything for you, even march their army on King's Landing! They'll have to if they ever want to see you alive!" Viserys added with a manic smile, and Elia wondered how she hadn't seen this coming.

Lately he had been so quiet, going off on his own in the city, most likely to plan this out.

With that said, Viserys had Elia gagged, then explained to her that they would be going out on the ship and returning near the harbor.

They would use her to get past the inspection, then she would get them into the castle tomorrow, and if she didn't, they would kill Rhaenys and Daenerys.

Elia could only watch on in horror as Viserys dragged Daenerys along by her hair, occasionally kicking and punching her as he walked.

Apparently he was making up for all the lost time that Daenerys had been protected by Elia, and was finally getting out his anger.

-------------------

(Oberyn Martell POV)

Elia hadn't returned last night, and neither had Rhaenys or Daenerys. Oberyn feared that something had happened to them, and when he hadn't been able to find anyone in the Watergardens he was sure of it.

Even in the dark he had searched around the Watergardens for signs of anyone moving away, but there were only so many pathways that they could have gotten in without being spotted.

'They're either in the city, or out at sea!' Oberyn thought, coming to the conclusion after not finding any tracks leading away from the Gardens. The few bloody spots near the docks helped confirm his thoughts, but he believed Elia was still alive.

The Gods wouldn't give her back to him just to shatter his heart again, and he probably would break if she truly was gone this time.

Not to mention whatever Will did. He would go on a god's damned warpath, and despite the situation, Oberyn wished he was here now.

Once he realized they were probably out to sea, Oberyn went back to the palace to share the information with Doran.

With Elia being gone, the two of them made sure to keep Aegon in sight at all times, allowing the boy to sleep on the floor next to them while they planned.

For the remainder of the night, the two made preparations to inspect the ships around Dorne, while another group would set out to check the surrounding waters for any sign of ships.

When the sun rose in the morning, the two princes of Dorne gathered the three most trusted of their vassals, telling them of what had transpired through the night.

However their discussions came to a grinding halt when a messenger informed them that Elia and her children had arrived at the castle and would be in the room shortly.

Still in the doorway, the messenger was stabbed through the heart from behind, dying instantly.

Oberyn was the first to react, grabbing a spear nearby and readying himself to attack, however that was when Elia was dragged to the front of the group with a knife to her throat.

"Unhand her!!" Oberyn ordered murderously, his eyes practically oozing venom.

"I don't think so! Drop your weapons or the whore dies!" The grating voice of the little cunt Viserys stated as he strutted through the group of lackeys.

Viserys divided his group, one side to protect himself, while the other guarded the door with Elia in front of them.

They were ordered to kill either her or Rhaenys should anyone from Oberyn's group move to attack, and the men holding her took the chance to hit them to rile Oberyn up.

When he stepped towards them, they had kicked Rhaenys to the floor, and one of them held a spear to her heart. Elia begged Oberyn to stay back, crying as she saw what was happening to her child and not being able to do anything about it.

Viserys went on to explain what he wanted from Dorne, how they would use their army to attack King's Landing and claim the Iron Throne in his name.

Once he had the rest of the Seven kingdoms under his rule, only then would he give her back. He did state the longer it took the worse her condition would be, so they better start preparing, and if there was any funny business then he would kill them all before anyone had the chance to save them.

As if to prove his point, he began to beat the little girl still in his grasp mercilessly, showing them all what would happen to them should they anger the Dragon!

Oberyn was about to say something on the lines of doing as he requested, but then the little cunt said something else.

"I'll also be keeping the brat as well!!" He shouted as he pointed towards Aegon. Elia had cried out for Oberyn to not let them touch him, and the two brothers could do nothing.

Neither of them were willing to give up Aegon, and if they made a move towards either group then they would most likely be killed.

What resulted was a bit of a stare-down between them, at least until the doorway exploded, which brings us back to the present.

---------

(Will POV)

After getting the full story on what happened, Will couldn't help the anger that surged forward.

He had already had his family taken away from him once before, and although Elia didn't share his blood, she was the closest thing to family he had in this world.

She belonged to him, and these fools had threatened to take her from him. They caused her pain, and now he would repay that pain a hundred times over and show them that not even the Gods would be able to save them from the tortures they would endure.

Looking up to the cause of this whole mess, Will's murderous gaze locked onto Viserys, promising more pain than even the Gods themselves could imagine.

"Take them all to your room and let no one enter!" Will commanded Oberyn, not taking his eyes off Viserys.

Seeing the state Will was in, Oberyn didn't bother to object or make any snide remarks. It was clear what Will intended to do, and if Oberyn was being honest, he was glad.

Elia was the most important person in the world to him, and he had been helpless to save her when she needed his help. Twice! Will had saved her both times he was unable, and he could only thank the Gods for having given him the chance to save Will that day in the city.

No one uttered a word as Oberyn, Doran and two guards carried everyone back to Oberyn's room, sounds of screaming echoing at their backs as they left the throne room.

For two days straight, Will was relentless as he made every person who had stood with Viserys suffer true hell.

First he started with their finger and toe nails, then their eyelids before he ripped their teeth out with smithing plyers.

Their ears, fingers and toes went next, then their testicles and their dicks. Will made sure to amplify the pain dramatically with a few concoctions that made one extremely sensitive to touch, so when his blade met skin it was like the pain had been turned up from agonizing to absolutely fucking painful!

Most everyone succumbed to madness from the pain after the first few hours of the first day, but Will made sure to keep the two who had been holding Elia sane enough they would suffer longer.

He healed them in small doses, making sure to do his best to keep them from bleeding out, but no matter what he did to them it didn't help with the pain he felt at seeing Elia like that.

Once they fell to madness, Will saw no point in keeping them around, simply letting them all get devoured alive by rats after they reached that point.

As for Viserys, Will made sure he suffered most of all. With a few well placed cuts, Will was able to get ants and maggots to eat Viserys from inside out, and it was only late into the second day that he had enough with the torture, then burned Viserys until he was nothing but ash.

It had taken an entire minute for Viserys to succumb to his death. He writhed around on the floor in pain, his screams echoing throughout the entire palace. For an entire minute, he suffered from a pain so intense, even the Gods felt chills.

------------

Will cleaned the blood off of himself, then walked down the halls until he was standing in front of the door leading into Oberyn's room.

Too tired and mentally at his limits, Will opened the door and walked inside. Before he could register what was happening, he was pulled into an embrace so warm and comforting, it felt like he was truly in heaven, if such a place existed.

He didn't really know what happened after that, letting his mind shut down as he finally allowed himself the sleep he so desperately needed.

Will slept for almost a full day, and when he finally awoke it was to long slender fingers sliding through his hair.

Opening his eyes, he was greeted by the warm loving smile of Elia as she stared down at him with all the love she could offer him.

She didn't care that he had done unspeakable things to so many people, or any of the many other horrible things he had done throughout the time since she had come to know him.

So what if he was cold to others, he was warm to her. He loved her like his own mother, and she loved him like her own son, and that was all that mattered to her.

Will could see it with just her eyes alone, almost as if they were saying, "So long as you can meet my eyes without fear or shame, there is nothing you could ever do to disappoint me."

He couldn't help the smile that touched his lips upon seeing her, then said, "Good morning mom." "Good morning my little warrior!" She said back before she leaned down and kissed his forehead.

With that one simple gesture, every bit of pain and hatred he felt for the past three days had melted away, a soothing calm taking its place.

"Are you hungry?" Elia asked, the shining beacon in his life. "I could eat." He answered calmly, despite not wanting to move from his position.

However all good things must come to an end, and he was reluctantly forced to get up when Elia left the room to get him some food.

"I see you have finally awakened! That's good! I thought I would need to awaken you with a kiss!!" Oberyn's cheery voice said from the doorway, and Will had to suppress a groan of annoyance.

"See, if I thought you were joking with me, that might be funny! Persistent fuck..." Will retorted back, grumbling the last part under his breath inaudibly so Oberyn couldn't hear it.

"Take it as you will! Anyway, I'm glad you took care of the filth!" Oberyn said in disgust, his cheery smile vanishing the instant he thought about Viserys and the people who followed him.

"Did you find out who they were?" Will asked, his mind going to the scum he tortured. It hadn't donned on him to get information out of them, all he cared about at the time was hearing them scream.

"A group belonging to the Gallant Men, a mercenary group from the Disputed Lands. Captured 4 of their men aboard a ship in the harbor. Apparently Viserys hired them with gold and items he stole from the palace, as well as promising them titles and land once he was king. Normally they would have stayed away from a job like this, but they lost most of their numbers against the Golden Company a few months ago in a clash." Oberyn answered calmly, then as if reading the look on Will's face he added, "I killed them. It was slow and painful, just not on your level."

Will could accept that, plus there was nothing he could do about it now anyway.

The two of them talked about Will's trip to Highgarden, even though Oberyn already knew most of what happened from questioning Drox, until finally Elia returned with a tray filled full of eggs, bacon, bread, fruit, juice, and a perfectly cooked steak.

His favorite breakfast with his favorite person. Everything was perfect, other than Oberyn being there.

------------

Will spent the good part of a week making sure everyone was completely healed, even going so far as to do check-ups everyday.

Daenerys had fully recovered, but after the events she went through she was more attached to Elia's hip than ever before.

The only way she would part from her side was when Will was around, but that was only because Will was something akin to a God in her mind. An indomitable shield that would never give way.

As reliant as she was on those around her, Will couldn't even blame her. The little girl had been traumatized by her older brother and damn near killed.

Having gotten a very vivid up close look at the things that had happened to her, Will wished Viserys was alive just so he could kill him all over again.

For most of the week, Will was taking care of small matters that he had brushed aside in his need to inflict pain. The winery was given the shipment of potatoes, but with the meager sum they were to be given on an annual basis, they wouldn't be able to make enough Vodka to circulate all of Dorne, let alone Westeros or even the world.

Since he was already planning to give the Vodka recipe to the Iron Bank as a gesture of faith, Will figured he could just get them to produce it in bulk and sell it all over the world.

The income they would make would more than cover what they paid to the Faceless men on his behalf, and it would hopefully allow further expansion into other brands of alcohol.

If he could somehow get the Whiskeys from his old life in this world, that would be like a dream.

Will figured he would take a trip back to the Iron Bank within the next few months, but in the meantime he would stick around in Dorne, or at least near. He did tell Aegon he would take him to the Stepstones after all.

--------

"Do I have to stay?!" Drox asked sadly, having already been told to stick around in Dorne while Will, Aegon, Rhaenys and Daenerys set off into the Stepstones.

Pulling him away from everyone else, Will whispered, "I need you to watch over Dorne while I'm gone. Use Shade, Ace and Stirling to scout around the palace. If you find anyone suspicious, tell Oberyn. You prove yourself, and I'll take you with me."

Will's words had the immediate effect of calming Drox right out. In his mind, Will wouldn't ask just anyone to do this, and since he was asking him that meant he was at least gaining a bit of his trust.

However with Elia here, that posed a serious threat to his life as well. Should something happen to Elia and he was still alive when Will came back, he wasn't sure how quickly he would die.

Then again, Will might not hold him accountable. It was hard to tell with Will. He didn't go out of his way to talk to people, and the very few people he cared about took years of constant being together for him to warm up to them.

Hell, even Rhaenys and Aegon weren't super close with him, although it was plain to see that he somewhat cared about them. He just didn't express it in the best of ways.

Drox squared up his shoulders before slamming a fist over his heart, something he had seen one if Doran's most loyal guards do when getting an order from him.

Will wasn't sure why Drox gave the warriors salute, but he returned it nonetheless. It seemed to make his eyes sparkle, and he marched off to go and do whatever it was he had planned to keep watch over Dorne.

Out at sea, Will had to comfort Daenerys for a bit when she wouldn't quit sniffling over the fact that Elia couldn't come with them. If she had, Oberyn would have insisted on coming, and right now Will had about as much of him as he could take.

Plus this was a good way to get the little girl to not be so close to Elia all of the time. She was becoming a tad too reliant on the woman.

"Maybe if you tell her a story she would stop crying." Aegon said, thinking that would do the trick, after all, Will's stories were his all time favorite.

Before he could tell Aegon what a stupid idea that was, Daenerys began nodding her head slowly at the idea of a story.

"*Sigh!* Fine! What kind of story did you have in mind?" Will asked, wondering what story he was going to be able to pull out of his ass this time.

He had already told them almost every story he remembered from his old world, and most of them weren't told correctly.

"Dragons!!" Daenerys shouted, her sniffles already gone and her face now sporting an adorable smile.

'Of course!' Will thought, knowing how obsessed the little girl was with the overgrown lizards just from the way Elia spoke of her, let alone from his knowledge on the series.

It was a shame neither she, nor anyone would ever see a live dragon again. At least not if he could help it. For all he knew there were other dragons in this world and no one had managed to find them.

"Okay, let's see... What stories do I know about Dragons?" Will said aloud, but it was clear he was talking to himself.

He didn't know many stories that were mostly about dragons, but he did know a few. Most were from cartoons, while others were anime.

Any dragon story involving anime was out, knowing how most of those turned entirely sexual very fucking fast. Finally he settled on an old Disney cartoon he had rather enjoyed.

---------------

(Story)

Many years ago, there was once a great and powerful kingdom! It was called China. They were known worldwide for their great strength, expert training, and their technology.

They built structures so great, mountains looked like pebbles in comparison. However, like any great kingdom, they had enemies, and those who coveted what they possessed.

A people of savages known as the Huns were one such enemy, but they were always too busy killing themselves to ever have the strength to stand against China.

At least that was the case until one of the Hun Clan leaders rose up, uniting the fierce warriors with his great strength! He rallied the clans under his banner, and together they marched across China, seeking to claim the Kingdom for themselves.

However the people of China were not just going to sit back and let the Huns walk all over them.

Their King sent word to all corners of his lands, ordering each family to send one male, and I specify male because it was forbidden for a woman to fight in battle, to join the army to repel the invaders and protect their land, and each family gladly did as he bade them! All but one of them anyway...

The Fa family did not have any sons, just a daughter named Mulan. Her father was old, and had suffered gravely in a previous battle, but being the only male left in the family, it fell to him to heed his king's command and ride out to defend his home.

Mulan however, didn't see it that way. She loved her father dearly, but knew he wouldn't survive if he went off to battle.

Fearing for her father's life, she cut her hair and concealed her breast with bandages, then stole her father's armor in the dead of night, riding off to take his place in the army, knowing full well if she was found out, her own people would execute her-!

------------------

"This story sucks!" Aegon interrupted, breaking Will out of his story mode.

"Listen here you little...!! Let me finish!!" Will growled as he held Aegon by the collar of his tunic.

The boy could only nod his head furiously in agreement, silently cursing himself for such a rookie mistake.

He knew how Will would flip his lid over the dumbest things, and this was obviously one of them.

"Keep your mouth shut!! I want to know what happens next!!" Rhaenys stated, having been drawn into the story, as had Daenerys apparently.

----------

(Back to Story)

After Mulan went off to join the army, her father couldn't just go after her, for if the army ever found out that she was a woman, they would surely kill her, so he could do nothing but keep his silence and pray.

Being the only thing he could do, he went to the shrines that honored their ancestors, and prayed for them to guide and watch over his daughter, hoping they would see her home safely to him.

The ancestors granted his prayers, sending a small red dragon the size of a regular person's arm. This dragon's name was Mushu.

Though he might have been small, that didn't mean this young dragon was anything to poke fun at. He had razor sharp fangs, could breath fire, and best of all, he could talk!

Mushu found and joined Mulan before she joined the army, his goal to help her bring honor to the Fa family, and keep her secret from being exposed.

Mushu was her protector and guardian, so whenever Mulan was put in a position where her secret might be exposed, Mushu stepped in.

He bit men on the butt, forged documents, and anything else he could think of to help his charge. With the training regimen of China, they turned a girl who had never fought a day in her life into a strong warrior who fought with the grace of even the strongest of men.

When it was time for them to be called to go to war, they were led into a trap by the Hun leader, but luckily for the army of China, they had Mulan.

Unlike most men, she didn't just use her strength to get by, she used her head. Combined with Mushu's fire, she ignited an explosion that desecrated the Hun army, killing thousands of them in one blow.

However, in doing so she exposed herself as a woman, and was sentenced to death.

-------------

Will finished the story there, leaving Daenerys with her jaw almost touching the deck of the ship, and he couldn't help the smile that played across his lips when he noticed the dumbstruck expressions of both Aegon and Rhaenys.

'Serves you right for interrupting my story!!' Will thought as he began to whistle a tune before making his way to the ship's wheel.

"It can't end there!! What about Mushu?!! I thought this was supposed to be a great story!!" Daenerys whined, but Will simply ignored them.

He didn't feel like finishing the story right now anyway, and he knew he wasn't doing it any justice as it were anyway.

Maybe some other time he would tell it correctly, but for now he would leave them with that, getting a small amount of joy from their unhappiness.

"Story sucked anyway!" Aegon shouted at his back, grumbling to himself about how it was impossible for a Dragon to talk.

Though he had never seen the overgrown lizards, he knew deep down there was no way they could speak the human tongue.

"If the history books are to be believed, maybe it's not all wrong..." Rhaenys said, getting both Aegon's and Daenerys' attention.

Seeing their interest she continued, "Targaryens are known for being part dragons, which is why they married each other for the last 300 years to keep their bloodline pure. However Dragons weren't exactly known to be friendly to people, so how do you think our ancestors got Dragons blood in them? You don't think they mated with Dragons, do you?"

It was a valid question, one which neither Aegon or Daenerys could answer. At least not sensibly.

"Maybe It's because we are descended from Dragons! Like, one of them turned into a human and that's how we got the magic!" Daenerys said, and Aegon and Rhaenys had to share a look with each other.

"Then how come we have a different kind of magic, and how come Drox has magic as well? There are also lots of people beyond the Wall with magic too, so there's got to be something else behind it!" Rhaenys said, dismissing the idea that they were descended from Dragons.

"Maybe a blessing from the Gods to our ancestors, and we just inherited it?" Aegon asked in a whisper, making sure any mention of the Gods was spoken quiet enough that Will couldn't hear.

They all knew his dislike for the Gods, but none of them knew the reason behind it.

"Possibly... I don't know!" Rhaenys answered back, unsure about it considering there was no way to actually know how.

"We could ask Will?" Daenerys suggested, and it wasn't a terrible idea, but he so rarely answered anything about magic in the past they weren't sure they would get any answers, but they figured there wouldn't be any harm in it.

After all, asking was free!

The three of them made their way over to the ship's wheel, and Aegon asked, "Hey Will, do you know the origin of magic?"

Will looked up from the book he was writing in, while putting the quill aside and putting a cap on the bottle of ink. He really needed to make pens a thing, but that would come later.

"Magic has many origins, but for the most part it is passed from the Gods." Will said, a frown on his face at the memory of the divine fucker who sent him here.

"I knew they were blessings from the gods!" Aegon said joyfully, happy at the fact of being right.

Will let that joy be short lived as he said, "Or curses!" That drew all three Targaryen children's attention, and Rhaenys couldn't help but ask, "What do you mean?"

Will made the book, quill and ink disappear back into his inventory before he stood from his chair.

"The Gods are cruel beings who don't care for the mortals they watch over. They use us for entertainment, or to spite each other in some petty dick-measuring contest. They picked champions to fight their battles for them, giving them power to slaughter their enemies, and to those they couldn't kill this way, they cursed them with gifts to destroy them. Some people got magic which was helpful, but others were not so fortunate. Take the Targaryen's for instance. You think there are no bad side effects to your magic, but there are many. You might not know this, but Targaryen's are widely known for their children dying upon birth, or for their children being born disfigured. Some children have draconic features, such as wings or tails, or maybe even scales. It is so unnatural, the child's body cannot function properly and they die." Will said plainly, looking at each of the Targaryen children, silently letting them know they could expect this in the future.

As he saw them lose their focus, he once again spoke, "It's not just the Targaryen's though. Those born with the powers of a Warg experience bad things too. When Aegon takes over Fang's body, who's to say that it's Aegon who returned and not Fang? There's nothing to say that the animal can't swap places with the human, and not to mention if the animal dies while the Warg is in possession, they can lose a part of their soul. There is also the rumour about Wargs taking over other humans in the past and living their lives, which is why most of them in the Seven Kingdoms were killed off all of those years ago. The fire priests and priestesses of R'hllor can shoot fire and even bring people back from the dead, but only if they serve the god himself. He can take away their magic at any point in time. Then there are the greenseers. They have the power to glimpse into the future, but with knowing the future, they can change it and do things that would therefore change what they had seen. If they glimpsed into the future enough, they would be so busy living in the future they would miss living in the now and soon their lives would fade away. All magic comes with downsides, it's just how you choose to cope with them."

Aegon, Rhaenys and Daenerys were all staring off into space as they thought over those words, wondering how much of that was true.

Really it was all just Will's theories he had learned from his own experiences and from stories he had heard from the Free Folk.

There were also the things he watched in the series with the Children of the Forest and how they created the Night King, but again, he couldn't prove anything.

After that, there was no more talk of magic. Will went back to writing stuff out in his book while the other three played jump rope, seeing who could last the longest.

It wasn't much longer after that when they spotted a small group of ships not far off on the horizon.

"Are they pirates?!!" Aegon asked excitedly, wondering if they were anything like the men he read about in stories.

Looking through a spyglass, Will looked over the ship and the people he could see. He couldn't be certain, but they definitely seemed like pirates.

"Maybe, we'll have to get closer to be sure. Just remember to not get in front of me when we get there." Will said, then boosted the ship's speed until they were less than 100 feet from the first of the ships.

Apparently the people on board the ships had recognized him, thus they threw down their arms and bowed when he got close to them.

"L-Lord Castian!! Welcome!" One of the men said, and Will could swear he had seen him before when he was raiding the Stepstones the first time.

"Greetings! I take it you folks have been doing well for yourselves?!" Will said, getting nods from everyone on all of the ships.

None of them bothered to stay hidden inside the ships, everyone of them coming out onto the deck's of the ships to greet him. He could tell that from a simple use of Magic sense.

"Take any slaves recently?" Will asked with calm eyes, but to the men aboard the ships it felt like he was looking into their souls with those almost glowing red eyes.

Will only asked because he had seen large cages below deck in some of the ships, but that didn't necessarily mean they had taken slaves.

They looked hesitant to speak, but one of them did, though reluctantly. "A dozen mercenaries, half as many slavers, and a Noble from Lys. They came to buy slaves, but when they found out about you taking over, they decided instead of leaving empty handed they would take us instead. We killed most of those who came, but we kept 20 or so of them alive and sold them."

Thinking over it, Will couldn't really be mad at them all that much. They had done what he said, and if mercenaries were going to try and take slaves, they might as well get sold as well.

"Good!" Will said, surprising many of the pirates. They thought Will would be pissed that they had taken slaves, so hearing praise was quite unexpected.

"I'm a firm believer in an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth! You hit me, I'll hit you back. If anyone tried to kill me, I would answer in kind. They tried to enslave you, and you didn't just roll over and accept it! I can't say I would have sold them, but I would sure as hell made them suffer!" Will explained after he saw their disbelieving expressions.

"Anyway! You guys have fun!" Will shouted as he began to move out once more. He didn't really want to hang around pirates and the like if he could help it, and with how vast the sea was, he didn't even need to be in sight of another ship.

The pirates simply stared dumbly as Will departed, unsure if they had just heard that right.

"Pinch me, I think I'm dreaming!" One man said, only to be backhanded across the face by the man next to him. "Naw, you're awake!" The man who so helpfully knocked his friend in the face said.

Back to Will and the others, they sailed off out of sight of the pirate ships, and Will asked, "So what did you think of the pirates?"

Daenerys and Rhaenys simply shrugged their shoulders, but Aegon looked a bit disappointed. "They dressed kind of cool, but they didn't act like pirates from the stories." Aegon said in a rather down cast tone.

"Anything can sound cool if you tell it right, even cooking food. Imagine trying to prepare the finest meal in the world, and in doing so you have to bargain with cruel tyrants, get past fire breathing dragons, scale the highest mountain in the world, and challenge a God, all to acquire the right ingredients. What kind of meal would require such things, you might ask, well... ice cream and coffee!" Will explained, his tone sounding excited as he made over exaggerated movements, enthralling the children deeper into his words, and it was all for food.

"What is coffee?!" Rhaenys asked in wonder! "Why would you freeze cream?!" Daenerys asked, not sure what could be gained from such a thing.

"Coffee is the finest drink in the world, a drink even the Gods can't bear to go without! Men fight wars over it's aroma, and kings kneel to taste it!" Will said with a distant look in his eyes, his passion for the drink outshining everything Aegon and Rhaenys had ever heard from him.

"Why would you freeze cream?!!" Daenerys asked again, persistent with knowing the answer to such a thing. "It's not ordinary cream... It's a delicacy that you only eat on occasion. It's called ice-cream because frozen cream is one of the main ingredients in it, and the creators didn't have a very good naming sense!" Will explained, his tone going back to its original state.

"But you see my point! Anything can be made to sound cool if it's told right, which your mind automatically does when you read a story, or when Elia reads one from a book." Will said, getting a nod from Aegon.

"Then why was your story about Dragons so boring?" Aegon asked curiously, and Will could only shrug his shoulders. "I don't like the overgrown lizards!" He said before going back to what he was doing before they had interrupted him.

They continued sailing eastward until Aegon asked, "Is there anything that could be cool we could do? Seeing pirates doesn't really sound all that fun anymore?"

Will hummed and hawed over what to do, then pulled out his map. Looking at it, he was looking at what was close to their position, and that happened to be Lys.

'A flesh market known for its women...' Will thought, brushing Lys aside rather quickly.

Rhaenys was already showing far too many similarities to a Dornish lady, which wasn't all that comforting to Will, and he didn't need to help Aegon along that route. Oberyn was already seeing to that personally.

"WE COULD GO TO VALYRIA!!" Daenerys shouted as she pointed to Valyria on the map. Comparing the distance from where he was to Valyria and then to Braavos, the distance was about the same and would take a few days at best, which was extremely fast for this world, but for Will it was still a long fucking time.

"No, I told Elia we would only be gone a day at the most. We would be gone for more than a week just going there, let alone the time to explore and the trip back, and there is a reason no one goes to Valyria! It's a volcanic wasteland covered in smoke!" Will stated firmly, but Aegon and Rhaenys quickly dawned pleading looks, their eyes comically turning to the size of saucers, and their lower lips trembled as if they were going to cry.

"How old are you?!!" Will admonished as he folded his arms over his chest. "Please?!!" Aegon pleaded hopefully.

"If you take us to Valyria, we won't make a scene when you set out on your own once we get back to Dorne!" Rhaenys said, hoping to bargain with Will.

Seeing his resistance, Rhaenys walked towards him and held his arm close to her non-existent breasts, then whispered, "I'll do anything!"

A chill went up his spine, and Will had to stop himself from overreacting to that.

"Fine! Fine! Just don't ever do that again!!" He shouted as he pulled his arm free from her grasp, visibly getting the creeps as he moved away from them.

"Great job!! Next time just start with that so he can reject you sooner!" Aegon said victoriously as he came within arms reach of Rhaenys.

A fist to the back of his head, and Aegon's face planted into the deck of the ship as Rhaenys stormed off.

"Even I saw that coming!" Daenerys said before she walked off to where Rhaenys went.

Will watched everything unfold, and he couldn't help but smile faintly. 'What some weirdos!' He thought as he changed course, heading south towards Lys.

He would make a quick stop in the night and send a raven to Dorne, informing Elia that he would be a few days more, then continue on their way Eastward to Valyria.

He was now glad that neither Rhaenys or Aegon brought their animals with them, otherwise this would have been quite hard on them, but considering none of them liked the sea, there was a reason they never tagged along.

Hell, even Trojan was left behind, but that was because Will was giving him a break from the constant sea travels.

"Valyria, here we come!" Will said softly, wondering if they would find anything cool there. If he only knew....

Well... it wasn't quite what I had planned, but it will do in a pinch. I'm also not even sorry about the long wait, I deserved a break. Anyway, enjoy!
