Romeo Liddell didn't experience emotions the way that everyone else did, though it took him many years to realize this. He couldn't feel them. For lack of a better term, he ate them.
His mother hadn't understood why he was always hungry despite being fed as a newborn and it had stressed her out. He had fed on that stress and stopped crying for a while. Then the cycle repeated.
As he got older and was capable of using his words, she ended up taking him to all sorts of specialists. She was worried that he was so small and underweight despite eating all of his meals and snacks. The doctors suspected some sort of endocrine problem but all of the tests came back normal aside from the fact that he was suffering from malnutrition.
She followed all of the doctors' orders on what to feed him but that never changed. Romeo was always hungry and barely got by feeding on her stress.
The side story for A Dose of Love is just another little fantasy romance short story that I had lying around called Nothing and Too Much. To show your appreciation, please consider leaving a gift! And don't forget to check out my new novels on my social media!
