Chapter 138: Lila's miraculous escape (1)

When the carriage moved over a bumpy trail, Sargon immediately held onto Lila and his other hand swooned around Aaron. She stared at him thinking why he was overreacting and he quickly pulled out his hand seeing her glare. She turned away, frustrated by the way he was making her feel right now. 

Sargon got quite upset but he didn't take his eyes off her. He could watch her and his son all day. He can't help but think about his mother who considered him as a terrible mistake in her life. After him, he gave birth to many children, and most of them either died without proper care or were sent away to their relative's houses. And Sargon doesn't know what happened to them.

Alex and Alonso were his only surviving brothers. But they were fathered by some men his mother shared her nights with. His father is a local troublemaker and was often described as a horrible human who does anything for a piece of gold.
