The coughing and screaming that was around me impaired my hearing. The people around me were greatly affected by the smoke which covered the entire area rising all the way to the ceiling while leaving small pockets where I could see the shifting silhouettes of the panicking masses.

Some stumbled over the multiple testing tables as they tried to find a way out in desperation.

I knew, however, that it was likely going to be impossible. The front door was automated, meaning it could only be closed remotely. At that point, merely trying to pry it open would require a massive amount of power.

The bigger problem also lay with the fact that whatever I was about to face, would probably not allow me to make any moves that would save these people.

As I looked before me, the figure advanced within five meters of me. I narrowed my eyes when I saw who it was.
