July fell on his knees and put his hands on the ground while lowering his head, his tears falling on the concrete ground as he sobbed.

Rain just stood there and stared down at him for a couple of seconds before saying, "I'm sorry."

The night was cold and so was Rain's response.

He walked away, leaving July kneeling on the ground and begging for him to come back.

Rain loves him, but he was hurting.

He wanted to value himself more.

He thought he deserved more than being with someone who took that long to commit to him.

For the first time, Rain stopped thinking about what was more convenient for July and started thinking about what was more convenient for him.

And it felt great.
