Chapter 18: Mate
James pov
when I got deeper into the forest that smell hit me again. The smell of rose and honey but this time the smell was mixed with the smell of fresh blood. When that smell hit me again with the mixture of blood my blood raised inside me. Xavier immediately took the control over my body and started to run faster. Xavier wanted to turn into his full wolf form and was fighting with me for the control but I was stopping him. So we were now in our half wolf form. Xavier was going wild inside like he was ready to tear anyone that comes infront of us.
Following that smell we reached at the end of the forest 'At The End Cliff'. We were running when we hear a loud growl. I moved more fastly. As I reached there I saw a girl which was pressed down by a Roger. She was struggling. I guessed she was that girl. "How stup-" I was not even finished with my sentence when she kicked that wolf and threw it away. She got up without any hesitation or fear and grabbed that wolves both leg and started to spin that Wolf and threw him flying away which led him to fall directly down the cliff.
I could hear her sigh of relief when she took a deep breath. As I calmed Xavier and took back the control I again heard a hissing sound. I looked at that girl. She was pressing her arm which was bleeding. As I saw her blood a growl escaped through my mouth itself as it was a natural reaction. As that growl escaped she immediately noticed my presence and turned. As she turned our eyes met each others. And I swear at that moment when she turned and our eyes met I felt a deep knock down on my stomach like it twisted not in pain but in over excitement and my heart stopped for a moment skipping its beat and started to beat wildly. Her glowing hazel eyes were the most beautiful eyes I had ever saw. She was on her half wolf form like me showing me her brown ears and a long fluffy brown tail with a strip of a white line in middle. She was looking at me intensely just like me. And my wolf Xavier was going crazy inside.
JAMES...JAMES.....MATE!
He started to jump on my head and shouted "Huh?"
MATE! MATE! SHE'S OUR MATE!!!
My eyes were wide open of that word 'MATE'. As that word came into my mind, the incident of 9 yrs ago played inside my mind. I was constantly thinking of what was happening when I already rejected my mate 9 yrs ago. That girls face was constantly popping on my mind that I never even once remembered in this all years.
I looked at the girl infront of me. Her face was somehow similar but it was impossible for me to feel the bond when I already rejected her and she excepted it too. So she must me someone else. Who was she? My second chance? But it's impossible when I was the one rejected. Then who is she? All those questions was surrounding my mind when I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw a wolf running towards her.
