Chapter 32: Alpha 1
"Dev, this simply won't do. I mean we haven't caught so many vamps in weeks and I was sure with our findings about Macedonia, our capture rate was going to be skyrocketed. Was Cain absolutely certain about his discoveries?" Damien queried. He was beyond irritated by the news he's received as his hatred towards vampires was beyond consideration.
Deven let out a frustrated sigh,
"Min, when has Cain's discoveries ever been wrong? We both know Alpha will never appoint incompetent people and Cain is beyond proficient. His discoveries are never wrong and if he says there are any vampires over there then I'm afraid it's true."
"Okay, Okay, but what about Alpha? He is definitely not gonna be happy by this news. The world dosen't believe in it but we do, we know they exist. It is our duty as vampire hunters to turn in those blood sucking demons. It is our responsibility towards the world to protect the circle of life and doing that means to capture the vamps. We both know how our childhood went because of those devil and we certainly won't want anyone else facing such havoc. Tell me something, how did Cain get to know there aren't any vampire in that country?" Damien questioned. It sounded quite bizzare to him about the non existent of vampires in the country as it was the same country where his childhood came to an end all because of them.
"Oh Min, we both know Cain always conducts proper investigations on any tasks he's been assigned to. It's nothing alien to us both."
"Yeah, I know but don't you find it to be fishy? I mean we both grew up in Macedonia, that's our home country, do you think twenty years is enough time for them all to suddenly vanish? Something's wrong here!" Thinking about the possible extinction of the vamps Damien couldn't help but raise his suspicions on the matter.
"Now that you mention it, I believe it to be true, it's possible that they are all in hiding and are trying to throw us of tail. Everyone knows that country to be the main inhabitat of the vampire and for them to suddenly go extinct? It makes no sense. I'll let Cain know, there must be a possible conspiracy over here because something just dosen't add up. The vampires are night creatures which must mean they can't be out during the day because of the sun so my possible suggestion is they must be in hiding. We both know Macedonia isn't what it used to be with the recent advance in technology, the place isn't as close and deserted as it was and is actually more open and established now. I suspect vampires must have fled the country because of it's enlargement and the population of people living there and the few who should be there will be in hiding because of us 'Vampire hunters'." Deven said with a shrug.
Damien pondered on his idea for a few seconds as what he said actually made sense.
"Dude you must be right, to get hold of the vamps in the country we must lure them out of hiding. I'll inform Cain of it later in the mean time we should arrange a meeting with Alpha." Damien responded.
"Sure, we'll speak to him later and also check out the activities going on in the underworld, I heard there's a new mafia in town."
"Yeah, the blackwoods, they recently joined the underworld business, it's quite a success they've gotten so far." Damien confirmed.

Alpha's mansion...
In a room barely lit, a man's silhouette could be seen. He stood facing the window, his back broad and muscular. A jaw set and sharp with a face that looked to be carved by an artist. He had thin brows which looked sharp with the furrows on them, an aura deadly could send shivers through anyone's spine. He had an overbearing aura and confidence, that which he always carried around.
"I'm sorry sir, it won't happen again." The servant pleaded with shaky knees. He should have known better than to try steal from this man but there was nothing he could do. He needed the money for his sick daughter. He'd tried requesting money from the butler but that went in vain as the man was adamant on releasing any until the end of the month.
