Chapter 5: A 'Rest' Day
<24 hours later>
I had napped for 24 hours, is that a nap or just sleeping at that point? Who knows? The sun is setting meaning it is time to work, not too much trouble to deal with after all it is still a rest day. I smiled at the bartender in the Inn as I left, a cute redhead, I might come back to the inn in the future, she is rather beautiful.
Nodding to myself, I made my way to my destination, keeping my head down as I travelled, trying to attract any more attention to myself, yesterdays stunt was already way too extreme. Although I managed to keep my true abilities hidden, showing off my sword intent was a mistake, now they should know how good I am with a sword.
It is interesting to know that the Sword God ability allowed me to use all of those techniques I spent hundreds of years learning in my past life. At least I didn't waste that time, these techniques will serve me well in the future I'm sure. I wonder if I can pass them on to people in this world? Can Mana be used as a substitute for Qi? The fact I can still use my abilities points towards yes however my mana is still sealed until I finish that quest.
Is there Qi in this world? Something I will have to look into going forwards, I can't feel any in the air, maybe it isn't dense enough to feel?
"Halt, you are approaching the Soma Familia buildings, why are you here?"
Snapping myself out of thoughts, I smile at the guard and say
"I have a meeting with Zanis Lustra, tell him, I have the product."
From what I could gather Zanis is interested in a certain type of Girl, what type I will not go into, I hope this is enough to get me a face to face meeting with him.
"Wait here, I will see what he says."
As I waited, I took in the new location of the Hera Familia, after doing some more in-depth research, it appears that the Soma Familia has no level 5 adventurers, meaning they are weaker than Bete was.
That is good for me, less time needed to do my missions is good, I can get access to magic quicker and then snowball more power by fighting in the dungeon thing.
"Follow me"
The guards said as he opened the gate, walking into the large but quiet mansion, I was led past a room with three girls in it. Leaving the guard for a second, I knocked on the door and stuck my head into the room, has yellow eyes and white hair along with rabbit ears, another had yellow eyes with red markings at the edges and long, black hair along with fox ears and a tail. The Final girl had blue eyes and short green hair that curls inward, with two petal-like hairs at the top and one hair on each side sticking down at the bottom.
I whispered
"Do not come out of this room no matter what you here ok? I will come and collect you as soon as it is safe to do so."
One of the girls glared at me before tasking a defensive position in front of the other two, I smiled and left the room, the guard glared at me as he continued to lead me to a massive room. Inside the room sat Zanis on a throne-like chair while, Soma?
Stood next to him swirling something in his cauldron. A Pallum? With a petite body with chestnut-coloured hair and eyes lye beaten in the corner of the room, a thug stood over her body, the need to kill flooded my mind for a few seconds before I beat it down for a second, I need information first.
"Zanis right?"
The man nodded with a bored look on his face,
"Did you leave the goods where I asked them to be left?"
I shook my head,
"There are no goods for you to collect."
Before anyone could react, I stood up, grabbed Retirement and quickly flicked my wrist before sitting down again. As my butt hit the softness of the chair, two,
*Thuds*
Echoed through the room, the head of the thug beating the Pallum and the Guard fell to the floor, blood splattered over the wall, a desire to drink it sprang up from deep within me. What is happening? What is with my sudden attraction to blood?
Pulling my mind away from the blood, I glanced at the Pallum who was trying to leave,
"Stay where you are if you do not want to die, I do not want to take your life but I will if I have to. Zanis, who are you selling the wine to? I know the failed product can be used as a replacement for drugs, so who is buying it in bulk?"
The man looked past me, staring at the blood-covered walls, he gulped and said
"Half of the entertainment district buys the failed ones, especially the Ishtar Familia, I can help you take them down and get your revenge."
"Revenge?..."
What is he talking about?
"What revenge?"
It was his turn to be confused.
"This is all some revenge story right? a sibling or something got addicted to the wine and you want my help to stop it, right?"
Hahaha, no.
"You seem to be mistaken, I wanted to know who my new clientele is nothing more."
"Huh?"
Was the only sound that escaped his mouth before his head fell onto the table, standing up I walked towards Soma.
"You have two choices God, return to heaven or leave this building."
The god stopped swirling the wine, turning towards me, he smiled and said
"Return me to Heaven."
I nodded my head, drawing my blade, I rammed through God's heart, I wish at this time I knew that he hadn't been sent back to Heaven but a place much worse.
As if by clockwork, a woman in a hood opened the door to the room we were in, a crazed smile covered her face as she leapt at me, ignoring the blood everywhere, she pulled me into a deep kiss.
I gently pushed her back and said
"Welcome home Hera..."
