Chapter 40: Chapter 40 - New Style!
"The building of God's Kingdom!!" Jun shouted as he stood on a black bricked wall. "Can you help me with the wires though?" Jun asked Xuanyu.
"Yeah, sure... let's go get some at my house" Xuanyu jumps off the wall. The wall was about ten meters high. They're almost finished with it, just two more corners until the walls are done. God's Kingdom will be a little town surrounded by walls where Jun's supporters will live away from the evil citizens of Izuzunu.
God's Kingdom sits in the forest right by the swamps. "Look at it" Jun smiled as he jumped off the wall and landed. He turns around "God's Kingdom"
RISE OF IZUZUNU
VOLUME 5, CHAPTER 40, NEW STYLE!
SUKISUSHI
"Oh.. no" Mikey looked out the window and saw a bunch of customers. "Come on, hurry up and open the restaurant!" "Open up!" "I got some money!!" the customers shouted.
Mikey finally opens the doors and they all walk in and sit at the tables. Some stayed in line to order, but the ones who sat at the tables were patient enough to wait for the waiter.
"I would like to have the salmon sushi rolls, please," A consumer said.
"Hey, what would you like to eat?" Mikey smiled and asked one of the customers.
The customer looked at Mikey "Where is the cute girl in green? I want her to take my orders"
Mikey looked in disgust "Ew"
Meanwhile, George is in the kitchen trying to make the sushi. "Okay... so she said get the roller thingy... uhm... where's the salmon!?" George looks all over the place and then he finds it sitting right next to him "You serious?"
"Your food will be coming up!" Mikey smiled and left to the kitchen. Mikey tries helping George make the sushi "Uhm.."
They messed up the roll... and then another roll... and then another roll... and then another roll.
"Oh my god!! Fuck!!!" Mikey shouted "This one looks the best! Just give them this one!" Mikey points and shouts. George walked up to the tables and handed them their sushi.
Everyone realizes that the sushi looks off, but still eats it "Mmmh! Delicious!" A customer shouted out. George smiled.
"Why does mine... look like it's been trampled over?" A boy picks it up with his chopsticks.
"Oh shoot!" George shouted in his head "Damn it!"
"We need Chloe!" Mikey shouted. They're back in the kitchen trying to make as much sushi as possible.
"Woah" Mikey said amazed "I made a good-looking roll! Look!" It was a perfect roll like how Chloe makes it.
"Take it" Mikey hands George the plate.
A few minutes later, George handed a table a plate, but the food was all broken apart.
"Wha-... what is this?" The woman asked. "It's sushi!" George tried smiling again.
"This-.. this is not sushi! It's everywhere! It's not even a roll!" She shouted.
"No, no! It's our new way of making it! Try it out!" George hands her a spoon. She picks up pieces of the food. The rice, salmon, crab, and avocados and puts it into her mouth.
She chews for a bit and suddenly falls in love "Oh my- oh my god!! This tastes amazing!!" She screamed out loud.
George smiled "But.. it's the same recipe"
"It's still delicious!" She shouts. The rest want to try it that way too. So George runs to the kitchen to Mikey "Yo! They wanna try our sushi in the bowl!"
"What!? They don't care if it's not in a roll!?" Mikey asked.
"Yeah!" George takes the rest of the bowls with Mikey and gives them all the sushi.
"Meh.. tastes the same" "It's good, I think I like the rolls better" "I love eating with spoons, so I might start getting this!" They all were happy I guess.
"Maybe this wasn't a fail, but a success!" George yelled out.
"I'm sorry... guys... I made the sushi like this... because I don't even know how to roll perfectly... I'm just a kid and Chloe didn't teach me very well" George apologized.
"Hey, it's fine kid. At least it still tastes the same and you tried" They smiled "Thank you for your work!"
George and Mikey were happy and smiled at each other. "Another bowl please!" A teenage boy shouted. His voice sounded similar.
George walked up to the table and looked at his face "You're one of the strangers that appeared here a while ago, huh? Toast?"
It's Leo, he answered "Toast is my friend, I'm Leo and I really enjoy the food, especially if they're not in some rolls... please.. hurry, hurry! Another bowl" Leo commanded and shouted at George jokingly.
"Oh... coming right up sir Leo!" He grabbed the bowl and ran for the kitchen.
Mikey ran along with George while Moon and Toast were sitting at another table.
"... and done!!" George exclaimed. "Cool, now, give it to them," Mikey said.
THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, MIDNIGHT
They were far from Izuzunu. Super far. They've been sleeping in hotels in villages and haven't come into contact with any nations since then; only with the Doomgaders a few days ago. Mark gasped for air as he got up from the floor. It's a night out, and they're camping outside because they haven't spotted a single village in three days.
"What's up?" Edison asked. Edison was watching the night so no enemies would attack them while they were sleeping.
"Get some sleep, I'll watch" Mark gets up.
The campfire was warm, but everywhere else was cold. They were in a forest. "K" Edison sat down on the bed and lay there.
"Mark... you think we're going in the right direction?" Edison asked. "Yeah, we should... the map should be pointing us to it"
"Good" Edison covers himself with the blanket and closes his eyes. Mark stared into the darkness and thought of his family again.
"Mia, Ben, Mom, Dad... please... please... please be alive," He says in his head.
GOD'S KINGDOM, IZUZUNU
"So, why are you naming this place God's Kingdom?" Clay asked as he placed some black bricks on the walls.
Jun wipes some sweat off him "God's Kingdom... is going to be a place... where all my supporters will live" Jun stops building "Have you not seen what happened to the people who supported me?"
"No... I haven't" Clay says. "People get beat up around town for siding with me. They've also killed some of them... We put them in prison though, it's fine. I still wonder what I did wrong to be a monster" Jun said.
"Nothing, you didn't do nothing wrong" Clay assured. "Yeah," Jun replied.
It took a moment for Clay to ask another question "So, this new town... will be where your people will live in, right?" Clay asked.
"Yeah... I don't want any more beating around town and I might move in here too. I don't really like it in Morichi anymore. Too many haters" Jun explained.
"So you're moving out?" Clay asks. "Yeah, sort of" Jun answered as he chugged down a bottle of water.
"I might move out too" Clay smiled "I plan on making something similar to what you're building. My fence will be a four-meter wall and will surround my house. I might build it next to Max's house though"
Jun turned his head back and went back to work "That sounds like a cool house"
"Tournament" Clay spoke.
"What?" Jun asked.
"Tournament. Aren't you hosting one? The winner gets 100,000 Krons and gets to be Leader of the LCI for a month?" He asked.
"Yeah, why do you ask?" Jun asked. "I'm going to join... I'm gonna fight in the tournament... so please.. let's fight!" He shouted.
"I'm not fighting in the tournament" Jun laughed "It's only the rest of the LCIs, I don't need to be in the tournament" Jun answered.
Clay replied "Oh, I know that, that's not what I meant. I was meant to say... train me to become better at fighting"
Jun looked up at the sky and smiled "I'm not really a good fighter myself, but sure, I'll teach you tomorrow"
"Thank you so much!" Clay exclaimed. "Why are you fighting in the tournament though?" Jun wanted to know.
"I just- I want to... I just want to, that's it... I want to become stronger and see what my strength is" He answered. "I see... I've never asked, but are you human or druzel? Just making sure if my theory is correct and that humans all have black and yellow hair and druzels have all colors" He asked.
"I'm a druzel. I want to be human though... I want to enter Novishi" Clay explained.
"I see... I want to go there too. I heard their technology is advanced and they have an invisible wall around the town, protecting it" Jun said.
"Yeah, you're right. What if... we go there... together... try to get inside the walls" Clay suggested "This month, let's try" He smiled.
"Yeah.. we can try" Jun continues building the walls.
"When will we attack?" Moon asks Toast.
They're both watching on top of the wall of God's Kingdom.
"We won't attack just yet... we have to become friends with them first, then we'll declare war on them, and then we prepare for it and we'll attack... I know how Jun is... he's friendly. He might give us an entire armor set if we become friends with him first" Toast walks along the walls as Moon follows.
"What's the reason for war anyways?" Toast asked. "Because-... I don't have a reason. This town has been so peaceful for the past few days... They need more chaos" Toast smiled creepily, showing us his true evil side "On the day of the battle... the sky will be red... Izuzunians will be bathing in their own blood as it pours out from their body... and... We can take this land from them"
Moon looks at Toast as if he does this on a daily basis "Okay"
Toast then spoke out "Jun... just wait... we will kill you... The peaceful time of Izuzunu will end here" Toast stomps his legs on the walls and looks at the sky "This war... will wipe out every last smile in this kingdom!"
