Chapter 2: (2)Gamer Guy
GamerG-Eye: Hey dumbass! What are you up to right now?
Here he is. The iconic GamerG-eye. Or as I call him so I can save some breath, G. I gotta give it to him. Even though his username sounds cringy to say outloud(I mean who claims themselves to be a "gamer guy"?) it does look kinda aesthetic all typed out at least. I just try hard not to think about what it's supposed to mean.
Ever since Cherry introduced the two of us, we've chatted everyday. I came to find out after our 2 hours long session of Smash that Cherry actually purposely made us both join at the same time because he thought we would get along. And I can't say he was wrong. I found it easy to talk to him from the very first moment. Although at first I thought we were very similar, but it really only appears that way. I tend to be a jokester, but I have lines I don't cross and I'll confess, I'm kinda sensitive. G tends to just be brutally honest with his opinion. Which sometimes can come across as him joking around but he just makes his honesty sound like a joke. This guy isn't joking at all. But one thing I've found in common with him as we spoke more was that we both wanted a friend to open up our more vulnerable selves to. Which both at school and online, I couldn't easily lay all my issues on the table to anyone. But G felt the same. He didn't have anyone to lean on either. So we made an agreement to help out eachother. Day by day, I grew more fond of him and soon found myself where I am now. Considering him the closest friend I've ever had.

One other thing that should be known about me. Even though I try to wear in-fashion clothing and make sure to put in contacts for school, the moment I get home I slip right into something more my style. I hate the way contacts feel in my eyes anyways so as soon as I find the chance to put my round framed glasses back on, I do it.
I quickly slipped on my gray Adidas sweatpants and my black Darling in Franxx hoodie and picked up my phone quickly with excitement to see what G sent me next.
I'll admit. Chloe is cute. I actually started dating her. Things are great. But I may have started crushing a little bit on G. I can't help it. He's just something else. Luckily I can say I definitely like Chloe more. I mean I couldn't possibly like someone that much when I don't even know his real name.
GamerG-eye: Nice I just got home too. School was ass today let me tell ya
Me: What happened???
GamerG-eye: Nothing out of the ordinary. You know I just never enjoy school. Everyone is annoying as hell
Me: I mean cut them some slack. They most likely just wanna fit in.
GamerG-eye: your sympathy always goes above and beyond even to people who don't deserve it.
There's one problem I have with G though. He's super negative on his opinion of others. He quickly sees the worst in others and tends to make fun of all the cool kids. I wouldn't mind usually, but the idea that I was kinda fake at school as well bothered me. I'm sure he would come to hate me if he knew how I was around others.
Me: You're a senior right? You're free from all those people in June so just hang in there man.
GamerG-eye: Yeah. I guess it's not too much longer. And it isn't all bad. I have made some good friends in school at least lol.
Me: One step ahead of me!
GamerG-eye: Oh by the way, I was wondering if you would be free in the summer to meet? I asked you a couple days ago and my parents are fine with you using the guest room so you would only have to pay for a plane ticket depending on how far you are from me.
Me: I mean sure. What city are you in though? And are you sure you're comfortable just letting some random guy online know where you live anyways?
GamerG-eye: I'm pretty sure I could beat your ass if you were a threat as it is. Plus in all honesty I trust ya. Also I'm in Vegas.
Wait. Really? Same city! I mean I shouldn't be surprised. It really still doesn't narrow it down much anyways. Las Vegas is a big city. I'm sure plenty of people here are on this server anyways.
Me: I can just drive. I'm also in Vegas. Smalllll worlddddd( ＾∀＾) hehe
GamerG-eye: Whoa fr? Convenient dude! What school do you go to?
Ah. That's a dangerous thing to answer. I mean, should I lie? Does he even go to the same school? The probably is low. My school is the second smallest high school in the city anyways.
Me: Norton. You??
GamerG-eye: No...dude!!! Same!!! How do I not know you?! If you're a total loser loner, you can come hang with my friends and I!
No way am I ever looking to hang out with him. How could this possibly happen? I wasn't worried about exposing information on myself because the likelihood of me even knowing him was slim. I mean there's so many people on the west side of the country. The probability of my closest online friend going to my school was nearly impossible. It was a cliché. How am I possibly respond to his requests? I definitely cannot meet him. I can't. He definitely knows me. If he goes to Norton High he for sure knows me.
GamerG-eye: My name is August Kelly. You should look for me tomorrow.
I began to feel nauseous soon after I read his message. This can't be happening. My heart began racing in panic. I knew exactly who August Kelly was. He was one of those guys I admired for him being himself. The moment he exposed his name my brain could connect it so well. August. The only kid out of the group of 5 who would tell his blunt opinion of me straight to my face. That guy hated Jayden. Even if he liked Yagami online, he despised me at school. Numerous times he would laugh at me when I would go up to present a project for class. He'd call me a "fake ass" to my face on a regular basis especially sophomore year. I'd claim myself as his target of bullying but most of his hatred was just in his looks towards me. He only went so far at school because even if he couldn't care less about others opinions, everyone knew not to target me. Because if they did, plenty of people were on my side and they would definitely make anyone who wronged me regret it.
I texted back a reply, my hands shaking as I did.
Me: I am not joining you guys. Forget about meeting you this summer. I joined this server to be anonymous and I'm staying that way.
GamerG-eye: LMAO! Okay whatever you say! I know your voice Yagami I'll find out who you are and give you someone to hang with at school. Hunting season it is ;)
I dropped my phone on the ground in shock and ran to my bathroom in a panic. As soon as I shut the door I stared into the mirror, eyeing my outfit.
"Right now. You look like a total nerd," I laughed. For a moment I hesitated, then I leaned in closer, taking off my glasses. "Ah, please don't figure out who I am August.
