Chapter 18: W … What Happened??
A single painkiller pill was enough to relieve the pain in Eden's wrist temporarily. The girl chose to sleep. She had to go back to work even harder tomorrow, or the water and electricity in their house would go out.
Eden fell asleep quickly. Her tiny body was too tired today.
It was midnight when everyone was fast asleep in their beds. Alexander was still awake, and he stood in front of Eden's house for more than an hour. The tall, stocky body leaned against his black sports car. Cigarette smoke billowed from Alexander's mouth every time he exhaled.
"Looks like she's asleep." Alexander put out the cigarette flame and started to walk into Eden's tiny house.

Eden's breathing sounds regular, her eyes closed. Alexander glanced at this girl, so cute. Alexander's face stiffened when his gaze fell on Eden's wrist.

Alexander took a deep breath, and his heart ached because he couldn't protect Eden openly. He should have just endured the girl in his mansion this afternoon. If necessary, he just imprisoned the girl in the dungeon to not get hurt. His heart shouldn't be weak because of Eden's miserable gaze that resembles a puppy.
Now, Alexander could only regret it.
"You'll see tomorrow; I'll make you part of my life, Baby Girl! I will always make you by my side. Either way, even if it means I have to lock you up forever." Alexander promised while stroking Eden's gray hair.
"I'll be your one guy, and you will be my number one Girl." Alexander stroked her hair and down to cheeks and then her chin, until finally gently brushing Eden's tiny lips with his thumb.
"These little lips like to swear at me, huh?! It looks like I have to teach these little lips a lesson!" Alexander smirked before landing a short peck on Eden's lips.
The alpha took the opportunity to grab his luna's first kiss.
Eden frowned softly. The intoxicating aroma from Alexander's lips made her slightly awake.
"Hmm… this scent again?" she muttered, Eden's eyes blinking slowly.
When her eyes opened, it was just darkness. There was no one beside her.
"Hmm??" Eden just mumbled briefly and fell back asleep.
From behind the window, Alexander rubbed his lips. What a short kiss that was so sweet.

Good morning! Yes, the sun came to the horizon's surface. The warm summer sun gave Eden a new spirit.
Eden descended the stairs leading down. Quiet… no one. Vica and Marvel still didn't come home last night.
"Where are them?" Eden was confused. Even though she was annoying, Vica was still his mother, and even though she was tired -with her behavior- sometimes, Eden still loved her.
Eden tried to calm down, and there was no way Vica could survive without alcohol. The woman must be home. Now there were far more crucial things that Eden must think about. What's that??
Of course, she work and earn money, how can she make money when her wrist is swollen??
If Eden couldn't earn money, she would have to give up her water and electricity for being revoked by the government.
"Cheer up. This is not the time to complain." Eden rolled her wrist slowly; it still hurts but is not as swollen as last night; Eden could hold it. Yeah, she definitely can.
"This bite wound is so visible. Do I need to bandage it with a cloth?" Eden decided to cover up Alexander's bite wound, not wanting to raise questions from many people, especially her classmates and Ace.
"Let's go!" Eden took the bike. With only one hand, she steered her bicycle.
Eden arrived in front of aunt Hanun's shop. With a cheerful face, Eden met the shop owner. As usual, Eden would deliver milk around the housing complex.
"Sorry, Eden." Aunt Hanun came out with a gloomy face.
"What's the wrong, Aunty?"
"Sorry, I can't give you a job anymore. The building owner said if I gave you a job, they would kick me out of here." Hanun arranged her wares. She really couldn't look at Eden's face, which must have been so disappointed.
"But, Aunt?" Eden tried to bargain.
"Sorry, E. You're a diligent, honest, and kind girl; you could get a job elsewhere." Hanun entered her shop, avoiding Eden's whimpers.
Eden stood stiff, suddenly Hanun fired her. Did that mean Eden won't get a penny today??
So... what about electricity and water??
No, she could get money. There was still a newspaper delivery service. Eden could still earn money from delivering newspapers.
Eden quickly pedaled her bicycle to the newsagent, where she usually picks up newspapers.
Unfortunately, as soon as she arrived in front of the shop. Eden once again had to experience the harsh reality in life.
The shop closed … just in overnight, the newsagent where she worked had closed.
