Chapter 2: Chapter 2- Denial And Realization

It's been 7 years since that time I asked my mom about learning martial arts. The only reason I want to learn about martial arts is because it will help me with controlling my pressure wind and I could also mix martial arts and my powers together in combat making it look flashy but deadly. And because I also need a good body if I want to become a hero. I also need to work on my stats, I want to have my stats to be at least 20 before I become a hero.

(Flashback)

"Mother, can I learn martial arts?" My mom looked at me as if I suddenly went crazy. She stood up straight and looked me in the eyes, letting me know she's serious.

"What makes you want to learn martial arts? Don't tell me you want to become a hero" she then leaned down to come to my level which is 4'9 (1.45 m)and continued "Ash being a hero is very dangerous, why would you want to do that?" Even though she said that everytime she said the word "hero" she sounded very repulsed, but it could've been my imagination.

"Well yes mother, you hit the nail on the head! I want to become a hero, not just any regular hero, but the strongest hero there is!" I said, putting both of my fist together with a wide smile on the face. Mother looked at me with a soft look in her eyes, which proved to me that earlier was nothing but my imagination.

"Alright honey, but I'll only allow it when you turn 8 then you can start your dream to becoming the strongest hero there is. When the time comes let me know what dojo you want to learn from so in the meantime you should be searching for what type of martial arts you want to know and make sure you do research about the martial art before you immediately decide something because it seems "cool" do you understand?" She reached her hand out to seal the deal, and I quickly shook her hand and nodded.

"You better remember this deal, mother" I said, smiling.

(Present Time)

I was currently in the car with my mother heading to a dojo called "Flowing Water". That's the dojo I decided to go to. When I was searching for dojos I read the synopsis for it, and it read "This dojo is exactly as the name says "Flowing Water". Learning this art will help your body become powerful and flexible, letting your body become like water. All you need to do is relax and stay calm. You don't need to go to the gym to work out because this martial art will work out every useful muscle in your body blah blah" the rest were to get people to join their dojo and whatnot. But learning Flowing Water will be of great use to me for close combat.

"Ash, we made it to the dojo, hurry on in, so you won't be late" she said while pushing me out the car. I jumped out the car and turned around, waved at the car driving off with a smile.

I guess being Half Vampire really helps me out. I turn around and immediately wipe the smile off my face. In this dojo, there is no such thing as happiness only struggle and there is no such as heroes, villains nor superpowers you're completely normal. You come to the dojo with only your body and mind completely relaxed but still don't lose sense of your surroundings, and you exit the same way.

I entered the dojo and saw 8 kids stretching their muscles. Putting my bags down and changing clothes, I looked into the mirror. For an 12-year-old, I have crazy abs, and just look at these facial features…man I'm going to be a handsome man.

Ash put on his black robe and walked up to his master. The master of the dojo was a man of the height of 6'6 and was very bulky but even with all that muscle he is more flexible than anyone would think. "Master! I wish to spar with another student as this is my final day in this Dojo!" he stood up straight but made direct contact with the master which is a forbidden rule in this dojo but he did so to let him know he was serious. The master looked at Ash and nodded his head with respect and said, "Marima you will be Ash's last sparring partner as you're the strongest disciple!" Ash looked at Marima who was on the sparring mat with a deadpan expression and walked onto the sparring mat. On the other hand, Marima was somewhat nervous as he did notice not once did Ash ask for a sparring session even though he was here for 4 years.

Ash and Marima were looking at each other only 3 feet away waiting for either of them to make a move and Marima not being able to stand still anymore jumped at Ash which Ash easily side stepped and not letting Marima get the chance to regain his balance Ash loosened his arms, and they started moving in a swaying motion but surprisingly Marima quickly gained balanced, but that didn't stop Ash as he waited for Marima to make a move. Marima rushed at Ash again, this time he lowered his body" Marima watch out!" Someone in the crowd tried to warn him, but it was too late When Marima looked up he saw Ash with a crooked smile on his face before Ash's body jerked and suddenly, Marima's eyes went complete still.

(Masters POV)

After Ash side stepped Marima after he jumped at him, I saw him loosen his arms almost to the point it looked dislocated, and I immediately knew what move he was going to use. It was our dojos killing move "Life's Dam" I hurriedly stood up to try to stop the fight until I heard a kid's voice "Marima watch out" that's when I finally relaxed because Marima is known for his quick reflexes…that is until I saw Ash's face full malicious intent and his body spilling out massive killing intent which is weird for a kid to have so much.

*THWACK*

Ash landed an uppercut not on the chin but on Marima's throat.

(3rd person POV)

Ash was in a daze, he immediately realized what he has done. Even though it was an accident, he felt spectacular, as if he achieved something even greater than becoming a hero. The quick 1-minute fight kept playing over and over in his head and he realized something 'I'm in a different world now I'm no longer a regular human I'm barely considered human in a world full of superpowers and if the me now was sent to earth I would be considered a God…yes yes I'm basically a God surrounded by humans!' Ash was thinking to himself he didn't know what was going on around him but everyone else seen Ash on his knees looking up with tears coming out of his eyes with a quivering smile but if you were to pay extra attention he looked as if he had seen a god or acknowledged that he had become one, but who would notice a look like that.

"Ash I'm here what happened to you… please move out of the way- ASH!"

(1st person POV)

I was looking around at familiar kids in the dojo but for some reason they looked so unrecognizable, they all looked liked…ants. Why am I thinking of such-"ugh!" I felt a giant force on my back and I immediately turned around to look who it was. "Mom? What are you doing here?…dammit I let my guard down, I couldn't feel her presence at all, what if-".

*Slap!*

(3rd person POV)

"Why are you asking such stupid questions you know why I'm here why do you keep trying to act mature *sniff* just please for once, act your age!" Ash's mother said while crying her eyes out, but on the other hand the one being held was feeling every type of negative emotion a person could possibly feel. 'This bitch just slapped me! Should I kill her? Why did she hit me so hard? Did I do something wrong? Is she going to continue giving me this type of treatment? She needs to get her filthy arms off me!'. His eyeballs were moving ferociously, and his body was shaking, he didn't know what to do.

"He's dead!" "We lost him!" "We were too late!" Ash immediately shot back into reality once he heard those words. He had forgotten everything about what just happened, "mom could you let go for a second?" Ash asked because he needed to make sure of what he heard? "No, I'm not letting you see." Everything was happening so fast which was making him annoyed even faster so, when his mom told him no it annoyed him even more, "just GET OFF-….just get off me for a second". Ash hurriedly got loose out of his mom's arms and turned around and looked down to see an unmoving body. He got on his knees, reached down to check Marima's pulse…completely empty shell, "no no no no…FUCK. My chances of becoming a hero is entirely ruined, just shattered….how easy it is to entirely ruin your life".
