Chapter 4: Chapter 3: I am a Wizard!!
It was another uneventful day at the orphanage, Mrs. Cole was doing laundry. Mr. Gary was sitting in his chair reading the newspaper. Liam was reading his books in his special corner. Luke was helping Mrs. Cole with the laundry.
But today the orphanage was going to receive a special guest.
Dang… dang… dang…
The knock on the door reached Mrs. Cole's ears, she was hanging the wet clothes outside.
"I'll go" said Luke and dashed towards the entrance door. He opened the door, standing at the door was a middle aged man. He was tall, thin and had pale skin. He was wearing a black cape, a black coat, and black pants. He had shoulder-length, greasy black hair which frames his face, and cold, black eyes. His cloths gave him the appearance of "an overgrown bat".
Luke unconsciously took two steps back. He just stared at the man who stood in front of him.
"I am here for Mr. Liam Gremory" said Snape who had ran out of patience. Mrs. Cole couldn't let a small child do the work of treating the guests so she had followed after Luke.
"Oh! Hello, let's talk inside" said Mrs. Cole who had just reached the entrance.
Snape agreed and followed Mrs. Cole inside the orphanage. Snape looked around, he found that the old crumbling orphanage where he had left the small child was better than ever, the orphanage even had decorations. It was clean and well maintained. But he noticed that the orphanage didn't have many children.
The common room of the orphanage, a chandelier was hung. It wasn't a lot fancy but gave the impression that the people don't lack money. Mrs. Cole pulled a chair back and said, "Please have a sit". Snape sat down at a table.
"I forgot to introduce myself, I am the care taker of this orphanage. You can call me Mrs. Cole" Mrs. Cole introduced herself, while making tea for the guest.
"I am Severus, Severus Snape" the middle aged man replied, "I am a teacher at Hogwarts, I came here for Mr. Liam Gremory".
"I heard you at the door, what business do you have with Liam." Mrs. Cole said with a bit annoyance.
Snape was shocked with such a statement, "Didn't you receive a letter which said I was coming, I am here to take Mr. Liam to help him buy all his books and equipment required for his first year in Hogwarts."
As he said this an owl crashed at the window. A letter slipped from its mouth which flew inside. Luke who was hiding behind door had heard all of it. He rushed toward the letter picked it up and ran out of the room.
Mrs. Cole ashamed by such behavior of Luke apologized, "I am really sorry for that, he usually doesn't act like that".
"It's inevitable, Kids of that age do stupid things like this" While saying this he showed a cold expression.
Snape picked up the cup of tea and took a sip, "The school has special funding for children such as Liam through which all of his needs will be paid for so you don't have to worry."
"How can you just come to the door and say he has been accepted in a school we didn't even apply for!!" Mrs. Cole said in bit loud tone.
Snape was at a loss of words, "Let me speak with the boy. Let him decide whether he wants to go to Hogwarts or not"
Mrs. Cole couldn't refute the fact that it was Liam's own personal choice whether he wanted to go to Hogwarts or not she reluctantly agreed to let Liam make the decision. "I am sorry for shouting at you. It's just that Liam is a very clever and sensible child. I have seen many children grow up, I had never seen such a smart and sensible little adult."
Mrs. Cole face revealed immense pride and joy as she remembered the years she saw Liam growing up. She boasted, "Liam started to talk just months after he first came in the orphanage. He memorized the alphabets in just a day. He never cried before us, even when he got bullied by other kids he didn't show weakness. The kids bullied him more because he was different than others. The kid has a clever mind. He learns fast, he could read the newspaper fluently at the age of three."
Mrs. Cole showed the expression of a mother worried for her child, "I just want the best for him."

Luke ran to Liam with the letter in his hands. "Liam … Liam… There is someone who came to see you… I think he is he is here from a School for your admission, also take this letter an owl dropped it" he handed Liam the letter.
"An owl!" He took the envelope in which the letter was.
The envelope was turned over, and he saw the Hogwarts shield coat of arms, with a capital 'H' on it, surrounded by a lion, an eagle, a badger and a snake. Liam couldn't wait to open the envelope.

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore

Dear Mr. Gremory:
We are happy to inform you that you have been approved to study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.
Note: We are going to send a teacher from the school to those student who lack proper means to get the books and equipment required. He shall arrive to your residence to pick you up.

Liam was at a loss of word this was the first time in all these boring ten years of his life that he had this thrill. 'I am in the 'Harry Potter' world!! I am really a wizard. But there were never any strange incidences which happened with me.' He remembered Luke saying that there was someone who came from the school.
'Maybe its Dumbledore, who came in the movies he went to take in tom… wait a minute… wasn't Voldemort also in an orphanage called 'Wool's Orphanage'… Ah!! Am I going to be in the suspicion to be the next dark lord' His head hurt just thinking about this.
Dumbledore had seen the rise of two dark lords, if he sees another person with the potential to become a dark lord he would surely never let it happen.
Luke was staring towards Liam all this time, "So… what are you going to do?"
"Of course, I am going to this school." Replied Liam. He put the book he was reading back in the shelf and headed to where Mrs. Cole and the teacher were.
As he entered the room he saw a black robed person sitting and drinking tea at first he couldn't recognize him properly but after noticing his hairstyle he was sure that the teacher sent to receive him was Snape. 'What kind of bad luck do I have?'
Snape also noticed Liam entering the room, he saw a bit tall, thin and a weak looking boy. He had clear white skin and brown hairs parted from one side. Looking at Liam he was reminded of himself when he was a kid. By the looks of him he thought Liam was a small harmless boy.
'No wonder he was bullied. Such weak looking boys are the target of bullies. On top of that being smarter than others.'
Looking at Liam he just saw shadow of himself.
"Mr. Gremory I think you have already read the letter. So what are your thoughts" Asked Snape.
Liam looked at Snape and replied, "I have decided that I will go to Hogwarts".
