When he got to the front of the hall. He wanted to enter but they stopped him. The guards said his presence would be announced soon.
Li Lian knew its was his wife's doing. He wondered if she never got tired of trying to impress people. Humans would never be satisfied , they only pretended to be.
Just when he was about to go in inside, he heard his name. It's was a female caller.
Li Lian turned around and him met his secretary Zhi Ruo. So she came for the party?
"Congratulations sir" she said, giving him a small wrapped gift. "This might not be up to your standard but it's from my heart sir". Zhi Ruo touched her left breast indicating her heart.
"Impressive" He said. Turning to the body guard behind him , "Take the gifts from her and give it to my wife."
"Thank you Zhi Ruo, enjoy the party" Li Lian said. She gave big smile. She also wore a red short gown. Its was sleeveless and off-shouldered. He was surprised to see his hot secretary. The office hid her beauty.
"Sir, can I join you?" Zhi Ruo asked, with her hands clenching to a fist. She was shy and unstable. Li Lian understood the game. He just hope it was not what he was thinking.
Before he could say yes, Chu Hua appeared at the door with a smile. Her expression changed in to a frown when she saw Zhi Ruo.
The two never got along well because Chu Hua was against him keeping female secretaries. She said they might try to seduce him and weaken his love for her. Funny woman.
Zhi Ruo was about to put her hand on her boss's arms when she saw his wife. O yes! The mad wife of her boss. Now, she was going to misinterpret everything. Li Lian was every lady's man it's was time Chu Hua realize that.
"I don't remember inviting you to my party" Chu Hua said, when she came closer. Her eyes were on Zhi Ruo the whole time. The dress she wore was tight and Short. This was an anniversary not a place to look for husband. Must she always correct Zhi Ruo that Li Lian was for her and not for any woman?
"I invited her here" Li Lian answered. His phone rang and he excused himself from the conversation.
"You know what Zhi Ruo?" Chu Hua started. "Is high time we sacked you from that office."
"Why madam? If I have done you wrong then I am sorry" She said with a bow.
Chu Hua hissed. The ones who pretended to be innocent were the husband snatchers. "Listen to me secretary. If I happen to hear that you have anything to do with my husband sexually. I won't hesitate to kill you!"
Zhi Ruo was shocked. She took few steps backward and her back hit with Li Lian's body.
He didn't look where He was going. The two were still here. Li Lian wondered what they were discussing. Women never got tired of talking.
"Your secretary loves my wedding ring" Chu Hua smiled , showing her knuckles to Li Lian. He didn't know what led to that conversation but he hope his wife was saying the truth .
"Okay. Sounds funny and unfunny" he said kissing her cheeks.
Zhi Ruo was still standing there. If only Li Lian listened to their conversation from the beginning he would known that his wife was a big liar. But who was she to tell the truth? He was her boss and Chu Hua was his precious wife , Li Lian would never believe her.
"I am going inside boss. Happy anniversary once again" Zhi Ruo said, as she walked pass the two lovers who were engrossed In each other's eyes. That's was not love but madness. She wished that there was a woman out there Li Lian loved.

" Mama I am going now" Yang Mi said, picking the car keys that was on the table. She was dressed in a short gown or indecent dress as Yulan would call. Its revealed her sexy long legs.
"Bring back my jewelry, did you understand?" Her mother voice came from the kitchen.
Yang Mi sighed. Must she disgraced her in front of their guest!
"I will be back by ten or Eleven pm. It's depends on when Chu Hua decides to end the party" She told her.
"Who is Chu Hua?" Yulan asked. She has been sitting on the couch for over thirty minutes listening to Yang Mi's stories of how parties are celebrated in the human world.
"She is the only wife of the young master. I hate her so much" Yang Mi answered.
"But why?"
"Maybe it's because she is the lucky one" Yang Mi said, closing the door behind her.
Why would she be jealous of another person's wife? Humans were selfish and jealous just like her mother had told her. She wondered if this young master loved his wife! From the way Ah Lam and Yang Mi behaved, it seemed they didn't like her.
Nevertheless, The case was going to be different with her and Li Lian. He loved her as much as she loved him. If she was asked to lay down her life for him, Yulan would gladly do that.
Li Lian was her life. Her world and everything. And with the help of the new friends she made, they would find him.
