Chapter 84: World changing plan
Despite how intimidating whitebeard looked he was the favorite toy for this group of kids who were climbing all over him. whitebeard didn't care though like a doting grandparent towards their rambunctious grandchildren. alastair levitated the children off the man before gently setting them down near their parents nearby. whitebeard was slightly surprised at the suddenness of this but quickly found alastair with his haki. "you've grown stronger." he said turning to look at alastair calmly. alastair shook his head "i'm still a good bit below you were during our spar." he said honestly.
"If you were anyone else that might sound like you being arrogant , but on other worlds that level might not be considered much." whitebeard said calmly like it didn't bother him. truthfully it didn't since he knew that this world was as far as he will go so his strength is almost enough. the only thing whitebeard was disappointed in was that he still lacked to strength to overthrow the world government. alastair thought about the marvel and dc universes and shivered "you have no idea." he said seriously. "on another note how would you like to flip this world on its head?" alastair asked with a grin.
"Oh , and how's that?" whitebeard asked curiously. alastair went on to explain how he could sink mary geoise into the sea before dropping a few mountains on the survivors for good measure effectively cutting off the snakes head. whitebeard was bothered by such a an act that killed so many innocents which he made known. alastair sighed and said that if they could overthrow the world government without bloodshed they would have but it was simply not possible. whitebeard admitted that this was true but then asked what would happen to the marines.
Alastair said that the only thing truly wrong with the marines was the fact they worked for the world government. so he had no intention of destroying them too since their biggest problem would be gone. whitebeard agreed that would be for the best and that if they fell apart on their own then they were worthless anyway. the two ironed out a few more details about alastairs plan and they both agreed it would be carried out when whitebeard officially claimed the one piece since it would ensure the entire government was gathered in that one place.
Three years passed since this conversation between alastair and whitebeard during which time a few things had happened. the first was that two more people joined alastairs crew , a ghastly looking man named orion that they found floating on the sea who was a swordsman along with a fishman with a manta ray base who ironically was a shipwright named sorang. alastair and the group had sailed all through the grandline seeing all manner of strange and interesting things including a plethora of quest. alastair had leveled up to twenty giving him one hundred and thirty skill points and ten perk points.
The skill points went into crafting maxing it out and leaving him with eighteen left that he put into his strength special stat raising it to forty eight. the sheer amount of knowledge that poured into alastairs head from maxing out his crafting skill put him in a coma for three whole days. while his new strength stat let him match even whitebeard in pure physical force. alastair had saved up his perk points despite the perks that became available as he leveled up until level twenty. looking over the list of perks alastair was glad he saved up.
The reason for this was because at twenty he unlocked a perk called energy talent that could be strengthened with points. energy talent gave alastair the ability to easily pick up the use of any type of energy he came across. after sinking five perk points into this perk alastair looked over the previous levels perks and found three that tickled his fancy. the first was called true sight that let him see through all falsehoods. the second was called herald of change that lacked any description which caught his attention. the final perk was called chi blocking and was actually a fighting technique that cut off the internal energy points on those it was used on.
Besides those three perk points the last two went into the natures voice letting alastair hear the voice of all things clearly. the group had been waiting in the calm belt near mary geoise for the news of whitebeards crowning after getting news he had reached lodestar island.
