Chapter 6: CHAPTER SIX: HIG ME TIGHT

Marina who had delayed while paying the taxi driver arrived. She looked at Naysa, then back at uncle Tarran. She was also confused.

" Where is she? Where is my mom? In the operation room?" Naysa asked.

" She's gone already." Uncle Tarran said.

" Gone? Where? Home?" Naysa asked.

" She's dead already. She asked to be cremated immediately after her death because she didn't want you to feel the pain of loosing her.' uncle Tarran said.

The whole world came to a stand still. Naysa's whole body shook and her mind was blank. Her mother, her only company was now gone. She felt like her heart was being stabbed by a sharp arrow. Why? Why was nature punishing her? Why was God doing all this? Warm tears fell down her soft face and her legs gave in. Marina, who was too shocked by the news ran to her side and held her, hugging her.

" Hug me tight please, if I survive this, I'll be a strong woman." Naysa murmured amidst tears. She was weak and shaking all over. Marina hugged her and her heart bled for her. She had gone through pain of rejection and hatred, but none would be compared to the pain Naysa went through, not even what she is going through now. Naysa cried her heart out while hugging her now only close sister, the only person she could share her sorrows with. Uncle Tarran left. He couldn't stand to watch her break down. Marina cried silently while patting Naysa softly. After a long time, she felt her body stiffen. Marina helped her on the only bed in the bed, the bed Naysa knew her mother took the last breathe while lying there, she wouldn't calm down. She cried and finally collapsed in Marina's warm embrace. Marina then left quietly.

While in that state, Naysa remembered her past.

***

Naysa was ten years old, that time and she was the only child of Mr. And Mrs. Haven. She was cherished and adored, though she always felt lonely. Her father was the the general at the military squad. He was a very honorable man who work himself out to protect his country and his family. When Naysa was ten, her mother conceived and nine months later, Florence Haven delivered a baby girl. Though the baby was weak and even the doctors doubted her survival, she held onto every minute of life she had.

The first three days of her life onto this earth, Arya didn't open her eyes, probably she was too shy to see the world. The doctors were monitoring her heart beat which started from normal, then gradually increased, and then dropped untill the beeping on the machine stopped, then as the doctors panic because everyone thought she was now dead, the beeping would start again

On her fourth day, Arya finally opened her eyes. Unlike her parents and sister who had Harzel eyes, Arya had shiny and outstanding sky blue eyes. When she opened her eyes, everyone exclamated because they shone with brightness in the early morning sun. She shut her her eyes because of the light and then opened them again. Her breathing was now a bit steady. The doctors couldn't even explain what was happening. Florence looked at her adorable daughter who was smaller than a normal human baby and hugged her.

" I need you to hold on a bit longer. Your sister is waiting for you." She patted her daughter, trying hard not to cry. The baby's small pink lips curved into a smile, and she then falls into a deep sleep.

Mr. Henry Haven who had been keeping Naysa company drove his wife and his little daughter home. Arya slept all the way. Naysa was too overwhelmed to have a sister. Too bad Arya was born with leukaemia and her general immune system was weak.

Arya's life revolved around hospital. She was either in hospital or at home. She needed care. Despite her weakness, Naysa loved her sister so much and she would always stare into her blue eyes for long. They were adorable and shiny. After school, Naysa always rushed home knowing she had a sister to take care off.

" I like music.' Arya told her one day. " If I get well one day, I'll learn more about music." She said.

" What if I do study misuc for you? I can join the music club at school." Naysa said.

"Sure..."

Naysa looked deep into Arya's eyes and they shone with happiness. She had always been reading storybooks to her everyday. " Your eyes." She said

" You love them." Arya said. She knew her sister loved her blue eyes.

" They're shining."

" Am happy. I would really like to give them to you as a gift one day." She smiled politely, her whole face shone with happiness.

" What do you mean?" Naysa closed her eyes half way.

" If I decide to give them to you as a reward for your love for me, will you accept it?" Arya asked.

" I'll treasure them so much. But that's an expensive joke you know?" Naysa said.

" You'll remember me."

" For a gift. What gift? Be serious for once." Naysa smiled

" My sky blue eyes
