Chapter 2: ARES
Ares is the name of the man that woke up from the dead or can be said to reincarnate into the dead man's body who had the same name as Ares.
Ares was an orphan from the day he was born. The orphanage where he lived was controlled by Yakuza in the city. They nurture children from birth or kidnap them for their eyes or other body parts, when they had eyes the disabled children were sent to be beggars. Due to harsh conditions and horrid treatment, Ares matured before his age. When he came to know about his upcoming future he fled to a different city, where the Yakuza had no power, at the age of 14, as they pluck organs at the age of 15. He started to do a part-time job at a restaurant, as a cleaner, who wipes floors and does the dishes. The restaurant owner was a kind man but was not a fool to give just any random guy a job in his restaurant, whom he has never seen before. He was impressed by Ares's determination to not take any money for free, even as he was on the verge of losing consciousness due to a high fever outside his store, and asking for a job instead. Due to working in a restaurant he also started to learn how to cook. Ares had no interest in learning anything new as he had already given up in his life but he had to at least feed his stomach, so he worked. He started learning because of the owner's daughter who was like a ray of light in his world filled with darkness. Her name was Hestia. She had long straight ash brown hair reaching her hips, an average oval face with black eyes, and an always warm and cheerful smile on her face. She was the reason he started cooking, and for the first time in 15 years, he thought that life was fun. These events led to having them feelings for each other, and after two years Ares confessed his true feelings to Hestia, which she accepted. By that time restaurant owner, Cronus had become like a father figure to him, he also felt happy inside but gave him the challenge to become as good a cook as him, which he accepted, as he was asking for his only daughter whom he doted her extremely, to not let her feel the lack of mother who died during Hestia's birth due to some complexities during her labor. Ares officially started dating Hestia after he won or to be true, Cronus let him win for her daughter's happiness.
3 years had passed and now Ares was the main chef of the restaurant. One such day Hestia suddenly fainted when she was helping Ares in the kitchen. After the medical report came it was diagnosed that she was in her last stage of blood cancer. The beautiful, warm, and loving world suddenly collapsed hearing the report of Ares, Cronus was no better than him, he fainted from the shock. That night both of them cried till they fall asleep but during the meeting with Hestia they controlled them from crying and gave her the warmest smile. From that day during the day, Cronus stayed in the hospital, and during the night Ares, as he doesn't want his father-in-law to fall sick. Hestia, although she was happy in front of them but was extremely sad on the inside. She was sad how her lover and father would be without her because for them she was their whole world as they were hers.
After 3 months Hestia died. Ares would have broken down but he remembered his promise to Hestia to take care of her father and live a happy life. He from then on become expressionless, with only caring expression in presence of his father-in-law. Cronus on the other hand caught the habit of drinking, even Ares couldn't stop him from drinking.
After 2 years Cronus died due to liver failure but there was no pained expression on his face, only bliss as he thought he would meet his daughter and wife soon. Ares on the other hand started visiting brothels and gambling dens, to get out of his loneliness. His personality changed from caring to ruthless and sadistic, as he stepped deeper into the underground world. He made his own gang, become powerful in the city, and then defeated the Yakuza and rescued many children from their den, at the age of 40, and become the only Underground force in his country, as the previous Yakuza had become strongest during these years, in the country. He opened many free schools and orphanages for orphans. He was killed by the government, as he became too powerful due to the support of the public, by making him an enemy of the public and by showing false evidence of his crimes that he never committed. He was killed at the age of 60 years, was happy he did well, and thought that Hestia and Cronus would be proud as he never cared about the opinion of others as they were not his family.
