Chapter 28: Arc 3 Chapter 3.8 ( Boundary Between Virtual and Reality )
Soft and warm air brushed upon the sleeping teenager's head . Dark circles could be seen below his eyes hinting that he had not slept comfortably last night . Jiro frowned in concern and rubbed the guy's head through the screen . Although the character was only a fictional character , he still could not help feeling concern for it .
Jiro tapped the microphone and spoke . " Good morning~ Sweetie "
A sexy , gentle and magnetic voice entered through Zone's ears . His eyelashes twitched when he felt vibrations within his head . It feels tickling and Zone unconsciously smiled and laughed gently .
" Good morning~ wake up sleepy head . "
Zone blushed and covered his head with quilt . " G-good morning master "
Jiro could hear a muffled voice from the screen . His eyes turned bent in gentleness and he couldn't help wanting to dote on him more .
" Are you still tired? Do you want me to leave? I can let you sleep more . "
Zone nodded , he's indeed still sleepy . He's been having nightmares last night and his brain was exhausted because of it .
" Then good bye , don't forget to eat breakfast . "
Zone nodded again and cuddled himself with the extra pillow and covered his body with the soft plain white yet clean quilt . A few seconds later , Zone felt the absence of his master's presence and slowly calmed down . Dizziness swept over his brain and he fell asleep , snoring in exhaustion .
Jiro checked the favorability measurement and felt inwardly shocked that it had passed 60+ already. He doesn't know why the favorability had risen quickly but Jiro did not dwell on it too much .
He turned the phone off and struggled to get off the bed and dragged himself towards the bathroom to wash up .
Dressing himself up in front of the mirror . Jiro posed a bit and stared at his handsome face.
" I don't care if Zone still doesn't love me in this lifetime . I'll do anything to bind him with me , I can't live any longer without him . It's unbearable . "
Jiro muttered as his eyes darkened . He climbed down the stairs and ate his dinner . He decided to visit the company today then have Doze contact Yu Yī to meet Zone .
Uno who was monitoring Zone's well being jolted when he felt electricity running through his spine to his rear . Then suddenly , a bright voice echoed within his head .
" F[beep] Sh[beep]! " Uno cursed and rubbed his temple .
" Hello~!! " Doze's bright and wavy voice echoed within his head irking Uno to punch his face if ever Doze was in front of him .
Although he indeed gave Doze his personal contact information . Uno forgot that it was connected to his brain . Uno had always hated this kind of communication because he always felt weird sensation everytime someone calls him . It is disturbing so he didn't dare give anyone his contact information anymore , but who would have thought that Doze would take advantage of him while being dazed and successfully got his contact information .
" What now? " Uno coldly responded .
Doze on the other hand didn't get intimidated and instead grinned foolishly and asked Uno . " What is your friends' email address? My boss is asking for it . "
Uno narrowed his eyes and stared mid-air while touching his throbbing temple . He was about to refuse when he suddenly remembered that Doze's master would indeed take a visit for Zone in his house .
However , Zone is unable to go out of the fantasy world too often or they would be found out by the Watcher , the guardian of the Fantasy World .
Regular space fluctuation would capture the attention of the Watcher . They couldn't afford to contend with someone they are unable to fight eye to eye with yet . His master is too weak to get in trouble .
" I can give you my friend's email address , however ... Zone is always busy with his own business. He cannot afford to welcome anyone's visit yet . So tell your boss not to visit today . "
Doze blinked and turned silent . He cautiously looked at the man beside him who was staring at his phone with burning eyes . Doze trembled and started sweating .
" Is he really busy today? " Doze weakly asked .
Uno turned silent for a moment before he faintly nodded and answered . " Yeah , why? "
Doze " ... "
' of fu[beep] , this is bad ' Doze inwardly thought .
The man's eyes beside Doze turned cold and dull , as a supressive heavy pressure descended unto the whole office room .
Doze said goodbye to Uno and looked at his master who is wearing a bad mood expression .
He silently exited the office and closed the door cautiously . After Doze exited , he hurriedly wiped the sweat off his temple .
" If only i had not took the human body and instead remained spiritual ... "
There's no cure for regret , Doze could only do his best and not dwell on it longer .
Jiro inside the office closed his eyes as he slowly released the accumulated air within his lungs . He layed down his head on the table , depressed and thought why would heavens prevent him from seeing his wife . Jiro clutched his chest , it was unbearably heavy and tight , and his yearning for Zone's embrace intensified .
His feelings , instead of fading . It becomes more and more intense and deep . The more he thought of him , the more painful his heart felt .
Zone woke up in a daze and rubbed his eyes . He immediately climb down fr his bed and started cleaning his room . When he stood in from of the window , he could still see those little kids roaming on the streets with bags dressed up in a strange uniform . Zone wondered why they entered the yellow bus everyday but Zone doesn't have any plans on joining them .
He felt that it was useless and he would only learn nothing important about it . One would normally have an inkling to join them as a child with no memory , but Zone doesn't have such feelings though .
Instead , he's more interested in fighting . Just like the fictional novel he read from the books in the bookshelves bought by his master .
Zone picked up the bag of trash and climb down towards the ground floor . He slowly opened the gate and dumped the bag unto the garbage bin . When he was about to return to his small house .
A tall man with black hair and purple eyes appeared in front of him . Zone subconsciously paused and swept his gaze on the peculiar man . He rarely saw such man around the area . After all , he only saw some little kids shorter than him .
But this man , he is unexpectedly a head taller than Zone . Zone narrowed his eyes and thought wether he would make himself taller than him . It's attacking his manly ego when this man looked down on him just because he is short .
His red eyes shone and suddenly , a domineering heavy and chilly pressure descended unto the man's shoulder .
The man's purple eyes widened and his eyes staring at the boy in front of him turned serious . He is about to talk when the pressure suddenly turned light , he relaxed and was about to stand up straight when that pressure suddenly descended again catching him off guard making his knees bend .
Then the man heard the man snorted in satisfaction . " That's better , how dare you look down on me? A weak ... Oh you're unexpectedly a demon ... But you're still weaker , weak beings have to bow down to the strong . How dare you look down on me . "
The man's mouth twitched and helplessly sighed . " Little ancestor , please redraw your pressure. "
Zone raised his brows before drawing back his pressure . One would wonder how Zone learned of the man's race . It is only because of the blue interface that told him of the man's race .
" Who are you? " Asked Zone to the man doned in formal attire .
The man then flashed a formal smile and swept his gaze over the young man's body .
" I'm Teacher Paul Winston of the Muxinns Academy. I was just walking by around the area when i noticed you . "
" Kid ... Why are you not enrolled to a school yet? You are still a cub , where's your guardian? "
Zone tilted his head in confusion . " What are you talking about? What Academy? Haven't heard of it. "
Paul narrowed his eyes . " How old are you? "
" 35 "
Paul's eyes widened and swept his gaze over the man's body . No water how you look at the kid , there's no clue that he's already 35 .
" Then why has your guardian not sent you to school this past decade? "
Zone realized what the man was talking about and hung his head before chuckling oddly . " You're talking about my master? I have been waiting for him that time and didn't know that i was supposed to go to school . "
" Wait , how long have you been waiting for the guardian . "
" 2 decades "
" !!!! "
Paul immediately contacted his Superiors and reported about Zone's situation .
" How did this happen? How can a baby wait for his guardian for 2 decades? "
Zone didn't answer and just shrugged his shoulder . " Don't know "
Paul sighed then asked Zone . " Do you want to study in the campus . "
" What do they teach there? "
" Basic knowledge and reading "
" Nah" Zone refused . " I don't want to "
" If you don't have knowledge how can you be hired and feed your self? It's not that your master will accompany you for the rest of your life you know . "
Zone didn't change his mind . It's not that he couldn't live without food , he would just fall into slumber and visit the other world . This world full of babies , Zone couldn't imagine how he would live in here forever . He was already accustomed being alone .
Paul helplessly went back to his own place as Zone entered his home again and locked the door . He doesn't know why he doesn't have any attachments towards this world . Zone just felt like he had no future in here .
He's more interested towards the world of reality . Zone sighed and ate his sandwich .
Jiro slowly ate his own food in a depressed manner . The atmosphere around the whole office was shrouded by gloomy atmosphere . The sounds of the utensils colliding with each other are particularly loud , making the whole place unbearably silent . One would be afraid to make a slight noise in this kind of atmosphere .
Suddenly , the phone glowed catching Jiro's attention .
Jiro put down his spoon and fork and picked up his phone . He saw a notification at the locked screen , and saw the logo of the game .
Swiping to unlock , a biometric flashed and scanned Jiro's eyes and face .
When it was successfully unlocked , Jiro then tapped the screen and saw his hame character reading a book while sipping a hot choco drink .
An small interface popped up .
[ New Quest! ]
- Zone met the demon Teacher of the Muxinns Academy named Paul Winston . The cub was invited to be enrolled in the academy . Would you like to enroll the cub in the academy?

Punishment : Regret
Jiro became puzzled , especially at the main quest's punishment . Why regret? Will he regret that his cub wouldn't be able to find job when he grows up into adult?
No , Zone was already adult but ... Jiro didn't think on it anymore as Zone's age had always baffled him into confusion .
Jiro wanted to immediately accept the quest but he has to ask the cub first . Don't know why Jiro has to ask a game character first but Jiro just wanted to know the character's response .
Zone looked up when he heard an indistinct noise . A few seconds later , his master's voice echoed throughout the whole room . A small smile bloomed upon Zone's lips as his eyes brightened .
" Welcome back , master "
Jiro , who had been in a bad mood just earlier immediately turned good . Who wouldn't feel their mood getting better? The game character's voice was just too identical to his own wife , except that this game character's personality was more docile and cute .
" I'm back , what are you doing? "
Zone smiled " Just as usual , reading . What about you? "
Jiro wryly smiled .
Zone them heard a tired sighed . Zone lifted up his head . " Are you tired master? "
" No "
Zone suddenly felt distressed . " Why do you sound so tired then? "
Jiro weakly chuckled and tapped the screen tubbing Zone's head in adoration . " I am just sad that I didn't get to meet my wife . "
Zone's smile frozed " you ... have a wife? "
" Haha , no ... In this lifetime ... We are not married yet . But he was my wife in my past life . "
" Past life ... ",
Jiro covered his face in shame and slapped it , thinking that he is so fool as to even fool a game character . It's not that he's not telling the truth but it was just simply illogical and stupid that he claimed someone as his wife when they are not even legally married in this world and lifetime .
" His name is Zone , similar to you . He also has blue hair and red eyes and i particularly liked his eyes . I met him during the second quarter homeroom meeting of my cousin , Li Xiaojian . "
Jiro leaned his cheeks over his fist while he busied his other hand to rubbed the character's head through the screen while talking .
Zone listened to his master's words . But as his master keep on talking , Zone's heart began on thumping heart when he remembered that the boy's name who invited him to visit their home yesterday was Li Xiaojian . He particularly remembered that boy since he felt that the boy looked familiar to him .
Could it be , the boy's cousin was his master?
The owner of that pair of obsidian black eyes flashed across his mind , his heart started beating loudly .
A suspicious red appeared upon his cheeks .
His master ...
His master thought of him as his wife .
' aaaaah! My master has a crush on me!!! '
