Chapter 6: First Night
Pov: Receptionist
"Damn i fucking hate this job so much. i wish the time would hurry the fuck up so i can go home already"
Stephanie the receptionist of kingstar's mens shelter said to her friend luka on facetime, with a hint of disdain in her voice.
" girl chill it cant be that bad, plus your helping the people, doesn't that bring you joy ? also why did you take a job you didn't like, like really you brought this on yourself girl."
The flamboyant luka said with sass and a snicker.
Stephanie's eyes couldn't help but twitch a little.
" First of all yes it can be that bad, second of all fuck these broke ass bummy ass people this brings me no joy whatsoever. And c'mon luka your my best friend you should sympathize with me a little. plus you know my issue, no other job's would hire me with a felony on my record. so now im stuck talking with trash on a daily basis. If only i could snag me a dude with some money i would be set."
The disdain was visibly apparent in her tone. she absolutely loathed even talking with the men at the shelter she worked at. ' so pathetic '
she thought. it didn't help that all the men who either lived or worked there was below average or straight up ugly looking. she couldn't even think to entertain herself with them. like she normally would at any other job. but don't judge it's just her style. ' work smarter not harder and indulge every now and again. ' but that kind of thinking couldn't be applied now she had standard's it's what separated her from the whore's.
luka sighed
" sweety how many times have i told i got you i hav-"
" LUKA SHUT THE HELL UP !! i already told you ill never strip or sell my body. fucking for a promotion is the highest ill go. i have standards, im slutty enough as is."
luka rolled his eyes a bit
" yes yes your standards. it's just that your gorgeous and you can leverage that ya know."
giving a tired smile Stephanie explained for what seemed liked the thousandth time already.
" thank you luka but i obviously know that my body is snatched as fuck okay ? but there is limit's to everything. And stripping crosses a line that im not comfortable with dude. "
Stephanie said with all the seriousness, and luka could only agree, she was right.
"Okay okay you're right. so how about thi-"
bzzt bzzt
"ughhh"
The all too familiar sound of the outside bell could be heard, pissing off the two besties. not even looking up Stephanie pressed the entry bell. and in walked the broke bastard.
