As Sora flew all the way to the Emerald Forest, he took his time to analyze the area in the air. It's a shame that he couldn't find Tifa landing spot. So he changed his plan from searching Tifa to locating the temple.
He had little time in the air, so he focused all of his energy on observation. He looked at his right and left but found nothing but endless trees. Nothing in front of him, so he turned his head in a hurry. Sora found a silhouette of a building far from his current position.
'Bingo' thought Sora as he dove straight to the ground. As he arrived near the ground, Sora used his semblance for the first time outside of his daily training.
"Burst forth" shouted Sora as he creates a Solar Isotoma under him using his Geo-Alchemy as a flower bloomed. The Solar Isotoma is accumulating Geo power to form a crystallized platform. The flower then elevated toward Sora as he landed on the flower.
"Landing successful." said Sora as he stood up from his landing and jumped down the platform as the flower withered and left under his thought. He took the time to look around him as he heard some growls near him.
"Just my luck I guess, the Grimms just after my landing." said Sora as he took his sword out. As soon as he took his sword out, three beowolves came out of the bushes. Sora immediately identified his enemy.
"Two normals and one elite Grimms, not bad." said Sora as he took his sword stance. He took the lead in the fight and called the Solar Isotoma: "Come into being!"
The flower came into life on the ground as he dashed toward the two weakest Grimms. Those beasts were taken aback by his sudden action but came back to their sense. The two weak beowolves lunges with their claw toward Sora, followed by their leader behind.
Sora lifted his sword and evaded the lunge from the first Grimms as he performed five rapid strikes to the second creature. The injured creature growled in pain as Sora kicked the poor beast toward the leader.
The injured beast and the Elite monster collided with the kick as Sora took this opportunity to kill the first beast. He ran toward the monster and did a down slash, but the beast evaded his attack by jumping in the air. Sora followed his slash by a stance as the Grimm was still in the air.
He took this chance by performing his charged attack on the beast as a fast and powerful cutting action left deep injuries on the beowolf stomach. The Grimm landed on the ground in pain and whimpered in his blood.
It died from the attack and left this world with the black gas signaling its death. Sora observed these phenomena of a Grimm death with deep intrigue.
Yes, intriguing for Sora as he couldn't understand why a Grimms would not leave a corpse after their death. He wanted to study this situation. He was sure that Albedo would do the same if he were here.
He quickly came back to his sense as he heard an angry growl near him. He looked at the last two monsters. Sora took a quick look and decided to kill them quickly, as he didn't want to waste time.
He ran toward his Solar Isotoma as the flower elevated in the air as he left the platform as he carried out a plunging attack toward the two beasts.
The two monsters quickly discovered the situation but couldn't evade in time as Sora plunged quickly, finishing the last Normal-Grimm. The Shockwave quickly spread from the plunge made the Elite-Grimm levitate in the air.
So Sora ended its life by his five fast combo accompanying with a charged attack. As he stood up, all he could be heard was the last beast's angry cry. He sheathed his sword and took a few seconds to breathe.
He heard the system notification after his fight as a message came into his eye. He soon saw the cause of this notification.
[Congratulations to the host, increase the degree of performance by 8% for killing Grimms.]

He took a quick glance at his panel as he closed it with his guard up. Sora took a glance to his right and called out the anomaly that appeared at the start of his fight.
"You can come out now. I know there is someone here." said Albedo as the forest went into silence. He closed his eyes and put his energy into listening to his surrounding as he heard the breathing of a person.
The footsteps broke the silence as the person moved toward him. Sora opened his eyes and saw a tall, attractive young woman. She has grey-blue eyes and medium-length gold-blonde hair tied back into a ponytail with a black bow. On her ears, she wears a pair of gold cross earrings.
She wears a white, blue, black, and red strapless shirt with gold symbol and linings along with a long blue tailcoat attached to it, a pair of separate white sleeves, a short blue and gold cloak with a light blue inner lining attached to a white separate collar with black linings, white tights embroidered with gold diamond-dot pattern, and a pair of white high-heeled knee-high boots with gold patterns and black heels. She also wears a pair of blue gauntlets.
Sora saw the young woman with her sword in her grip, a silver and blue sword with a gold grip in the shape of a spread bird wing, set with a sky-blue gem.
"Sorry for not helping you clear those Grimms but I wanted to see the strength of my future partner." Said the blonde-haired girl as she explained her intention to Sora.
"... No need to excuse yourself, I would have done the same." said Sora as he crossed his arm and looked at this lady with a certain expectation gaze.
"My name is Jean, Jean Gunnhildr Goodwitch and I hope I can get my new partner name." said Jean as she introduced herself as she waited for Sora introduction.
'Really, she is indeed Jean from Genshin Impact, but with a RWBY character setting? how strange.' thought Sora as he introduced himself and walked toward Jean.
She sheathed her sword at her hips and walked toward Sora as they shook hand. Sora started the conversation with Jean as he asked her a question.
"...If you don't mind me asking Goodwitch as in Glynda Goodwitch? the same teacher his morning."
"Indeed, she is my adopted big sister after the death of my parents." responded Jean, as this answer immediately killed the whole mood.
"..."
'ouch' thought Sora as he froze in place and looked at Jean in disbelieve.
"...sorry"
"Don't worry, this question would have come eventually, so I wanted to clear this up." assured Jean as she looked at Sora. He couldn't mentally continue this conversation, so he changed the subject.
"I saw the temple when I was in the air so let's not waste time and go there." said Sora as he left toward the temple in hurry followed by Jean as she also saw the temple from the exact situation.

Ozpin & Glynda POV
"Looks like everyone got their partner and are going toward the temple." said Ozpin as he took a sip of his coffee. He looked at his trusted assistant, who looked at her scroll in worry. He took a peek behind her shoulder and saw her looking at Jean.
"See, I told you young Jean is a capable woman. She would become a great Huntress." said Ozpin as he saw the scene where Jean killed theses Grimms in her path.
They continued to look at Jean's performance and they saw her watching Sora's fight. Ozpin hummed in approval at Sora's performance. He liked what he saw. A promising young man with great skill.
"Looks like young Jean as a reliable partner for the next four years at Beacon Glynda." said Ozpin as he took his scroll out to find Sora's files. Glynda took notice of his actions and also looked at his scroll.
They saw the old Sora's performance at his school at Signal Academy. They looked ordinary and average compared to this current scene.
"Interesting. I wonder how this Sora became this skilled in a month, maybe a late bloomer?" hummed Ozpin as he searched for more information in this one month.
"Very interesting indeed." chuckled Ozpin as he looked back at grading student while ignoring Glynda's gaze.
