Chapter 2: Chapter 2: A hidden class?
The system opened up a panel that would show what my class features were. When it finished up it said my class name was "Player of fortune." I didn't know what that meant so I tapped on it and it pulled up my stats.
Lvl 1: Ares
Pow: 8 Def: 6
Mana: 15 Agi: 10
It also had a green bar that showed 50/50 meaning I had 50 hp max. Suddenly, the game's system started glitching and had errors. I knew right then and there that I had been Iseaki'd in a way to a new world. If you didn't know, Isekais are things that occur to a select few people at random. You either have to die or you somehow get transported to that world. But for me it was different.
I didn't freak out or anything rather I was kind of happy that I left that hell of a world. Even so I'm gonna miss my friends and anime there, but then again who needs anime when they are Isekai'd. Every fan of anime manga, manhua, manhwa want the experience that the main character usually gets. So now it's my turn to step and be the mc of my own story.
I looked below my stats and it showed luck with question marks. At first, I didn't know what that meant but soon I would realize how powerful it was. So far, my stats looked below average for the most part except for the luck stat. After a few more seconds had passed I was teleported out of the tutorial into a whole new world. When I regained my vision, I saw many different races: elves, half elves, dwarves, humans, and beast men.
Of course, everybody would be staring at the elves' chest, but I was different. I didn't care about elves or anything that people would usually be attracted to. I have learned through reading mangas that elves can be very dangerous, so I avoided them for the most part. I wanted to register to a guild as soon as possible to increase my power; so, I asked for directions. I found that the guild hall was typical as well with a bar for people to drink at, and the usual layout of help wanted posters in the back.
I walked up to the registration desk to find a human there, she didn't act like an NPC rather it seemed she was real. "Hi my name is Ares, and I was wondering if I could register for the guild." She nodded and pulled out a piece of paper that had a bunch of terms and conditions. I read through them and found that if I were to lose my life in battle all my items would go to the guild. That kind of scared me but of course dying wasn't a choice for me ever since I teleported into this world. I signed the paper and turned to face her afterwards and asked, "Do you mind giving me a rough idea of how rankings go in this guild?"
She looked surprised at first but then she just looked at me more closely and noticed that I probably came from afar. She said, "Sure, so we have rankings that range from F rank to S rank. But there have been special cases where people have even surpassed S rank to which we call Kings."
I signed it and turned to face her and asked about how they did their rankings. She said, "We usually have ranks that range from F rank to S rank. But in some special cases there have been people who have surpassed S rank those people are known as Kings." Suddenly the system panel popped up with an important notice. It said that I have the chance to become a King. It also said that currently there are 5 Kings around the world, these would be the current top players in other regions. "So how are these Kings different from S ranks?" I asked.
"As I said previously they are basically one in a billion, meaning insanely strong. Why do you want to know all of this anyway?"
"I was just wondering about how strong they were that's all." Of course I wanted to aim to become one but I couldn't say that in front of her. She would've probably laughed at me for aiming so high. "So how do I obtain a rank by the way?" I was thinking about the different ways people in manga would obtain their rank. Through a magic ball, a status plate, a system used to measure your power, or even a skill to check how strong one is.
Instead, she gave me a bracelet that was processing my stats to rank me. It started beeping and when I looked at it, it showed a rank that didn't even exist in their rankings. It was an E rank; I wasn't the only one surprised. She looked at the bracelet then back at me and started snickering eventually letting out a laugh. It really pissed me off but I couldn't really do anything about it so I just stood there, still as a statue. Eventually she stopped laughing and she teared up my paper saying that the guild doesn't accept trash like me. On that day I vowed that I would not join a shitty guild like that again, unless it's for revenge.
I walked for a while with the thought of that girl laughing at me, and me seeing the G rank appear before my eyes. I couldn't believe how weak I was, I couldn't stop myself from cursing the game. Eventually I cooled down and started making up a plan for what would come next. With no one to help me in my adventure I didn't know what to do but adventure out into the forest. So, the only thing I could think of doing is going out to hunt for some more prey and level up.
