Chapter 64: Weilder of scythe of darkest flame 4
"It seems, that someone is speaking on things that shouldn't be said, let's read his mind." another of the men stepped forward his intention clear.
"Stop Cirus."
"Since you know that information you should know the result of knowing it without actually being a part of the church."
"So I'll ask you once, are you apart of the church of the original serpent?"

"No, I'm not but I would love to join." says Mr.Charles
"Oh, you want to join the church?" asked one of the men.
"Yes. my name is Shane I would like to be a member of the church of the original serpent." says Mr. Charles.
Nick Fury stood to the side and listened to the conversation that was happening in front of him, noting anything of importance that was said.
"Alright, I'll let you join the church, but every member has to undergo a test before they do, and your test will be simple, become the wielder of the scythe of the darkest flame."
Hearing this, Shane smiled.
"If I do this won't I immediately become someone who only takes orders from the master, making me have a higher position than you?" asked Shane.
"Of course, but that's if you can survive the test that is put forth by the scythe spirit."
Suddenly without any warning, the man currently undergoing the test of the scythe was burned to nothing in less than a second, leaving no traces of him present.
"It seems Marcus failed the test, well that's good for you so go and try and pass the test." says Cirus looking at Shane.
Shane didn't even look scared, as he marched forward and approached the scythe, without any hesitation he grabbed it and his eyes dimmed.
"You're still here why?" Cirus turned and asked Fury.
"I am the director of Sheild I have to make sure you aren't a threat to this planet." Fury answers seriously.
But in response, all he received was the men laughing at what he said.
"Hahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha!!!!!"
Their laughter turned louder and louder until they were clutching their stomach, it was clear what Fury said was a big joke to them.
"What's so funny?" asked Fury.
"Everything you said is funny. Do you have any idea how big the universe is? Do you have any idea how many races there are in the universe? Do you have any idea how many beings are eyeing this planet? Do you have any idea why with some many being watching this planet you humans are still safe? Do you have any Idea who protects this planet? Do you have any idea who the wife of our master is?" Cirus questioned Fury.
"...."
Fury stood there clearly not knowing the answer to these questions.
"Cirus, leave him be, there was a time we were like that as well, not knowing the true scale of things, thinking humans to be the center of the universe."
"James you are right, I should have expected as much." says Cirus.
"Arent you going to tell me the answers to the questions you asked?" asked Fury trying to gain more information.
The men looked at each other seemly as if thinking it over.
"Fine, the universe is too big to measure. There are countless races in the universe. There are many powerful beings that are currently interested in this planet, any of them could put an end to the human race easily. The humans are still safe because long ago our master the original serpent claimed this planet, and those who are interested in this planet are too afraid to act and incur the wrath of our master. The forces of our master protect this planet. The wife of our master is Gaea the Earth Goddess, all humans have a piece of Gaea in them, the last person who would want to destroy or hurt this planet is my master." says Cirus
Hearing this, Fury stood still, even though he didn't want to believe these people they had no need to lie to him, so he took what they said as the truth
"Where is your God?" asked Fury.
"In a place, you would never reach."
While Fury and the men were speaking, Shane's consciousness was pulled into the scythe and he appeared before a serpent made completely out of black fire.
"You have decided to undergo the test to become the wielder of this scythe, there is no turning back failure means death." says the enormous serpent.
"The first test is simple, all you have to do is survive." says the serpent as it disappears.
Shane appears in a burning world, holding a scythe in hand, he moves forward, as he appeared information on the test filled his mind.
To pass the test, he would need to beat all the pass testers, all those who failed the test previously.
They would have all their power stripped from them and have their scythe-wielding ability increased, it was either Shane beat them or they would kill him first.
