Chapter 28: CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN THE PAST.
Angela moved into her Aunty's house. Elijah also lives in the same area as her aunt. She became friends with Elijah's younger brother, Finn. She was invited by Finn to his birthday party. That was the first time that Angela saw Elijah Philip.
It was love at first sight, Elijah goes to a university in another town than her. Angela tried to befriend Philip but he wasn't into it. No matter what Angela does she still couldn't win his heart.
This made her so frustrated. Until she confides in one of her friends. Who advised her to drug Philip and sleep with him. They set their plan in motion.
It was during the heating season in Ehteran. The weather was around 36 degrees. A lot of people wore skimpy clothes because of the heat. The Philip residence was the most beautiful house and was the most magnificent in the whole of Eagleburgh.
They like to live largely and mingle with the rich. Ryan Philip and his wife Penelope Philip were living larger than their budget.
Finn Philip decided to throw a beach party, so he rented a private beach from one of his classmates.
Elijah was pissed. Finn spent a lot of money to throw the party. They were beautiful and cozy cottages surrounding the beach.
It was around 4 pm. Angela walked onto the beach wearing a flounce red swimsuit, That showed off her hips, ass, and long slender legs. Her skin looked so smooth and soft. She let down her long black silky hair. She smiled to herself when she saw the number of men gawking at her with their eyes filled with lust.
But Elijah was not interested, he was laying down on a beach lounge chair. He used his left arm to support his head as he looked at the sunset.
He could hear the laughter and scream of girls as they ran around the beach, some were in the river splashing water on each other. All the sounds were so audible that he wished he brought headphones.
Angela looked dreamy as she stared at Elijah, she wasn't from a rich family. Her Dad is a tailor and her mum was a regular housewife, she sometimes wondered if that was the reason Elija didn't like her.
It was now 7:30 pm. The party was to last all night. Angela kept tapping her feet on the soft beach sand as she waited for her friend Valarie. "Hey, babe" A guy wearing red shorts came close to her, his breath rigged of Alcohol Angela almost threw up because of the smell.
"Buzz off!" she pushed him before walking away. A lot of guys have tried flirting with her, yet not even once did Philip even notice her presence. "Angela!" she heard Valrie's voice. "Over here" Valerie used her hand to gesture to her to come over.
"I got the Aphrodite" she whispered into Angela's ear. "Now all I have to do is find a way to give him." Angela heaved a sigh.
The DJ had finally arrived and the beach was now filled with music, people were dancing and getting wasted, and some girls even took off their bras as they danced around the campfire. Elijah shook his head the only reason he was here was that his parents forced him to come and mingle with rich people.
"You look bored!" Angela had to speak loudly because of the loudspeakers. He looked in her direction. "You're not wrong about that?" He sat up and made space for her to sit. She sat next to him. She was just a few inches away from him. "Here, I grabbed us a drink!" she brought the cup in the direction of his hands. "Thanks!" He collected it and started to gulp down the content.
Angela was pleased she did not think that it would be this easy. "The drink tastes funny" he had a scowl on his face. "Are you sure? mine tastes fine.!" she smiled to hide her nervousness. A few minutes later, his body started to become hot, he was also restless. She saw how he kept shifting in his chair.
"Is there a problem?" Angela asked him, her face filled with concern. "I feel hot, I am going for a swim!" Elijah stood up and began to walk toward the sea. Angela didn't know what to do to stop him. "What is it?" Valarie came to her side. "He said that he's going for a swim. "I have a plan." Valarie had a cunning smile on her face.
"Help! Help! Elijah! He turned towards the voices and saw Angela on the ground and her friend was all over her. Even though his body was hot, he ran back to them and helped her by carrying Angela and entering one of the unoccupied cottages, since many of the cottages are now occupied by a lot of wasted and horny couples.
"I will be right back, please don't leave her side." Valarie ran out before he could speak. A few seconds after she left Angela woke up. Elijah was trying to control his urges, Angela looked so enticing, with her soft breasts peeking out of her bra and her long slender body that was all exposed to his sight. Even though Elijah didn't love her, he still took care of her and promised to be faithful to her. He told her about a lady he loves and wanted to marry but Angela didn't care about that, having him as her husband was all that mattered.
Their baby girl was born, and it was the happiest day of his life, he named her Gabrielle Elijah Philip. Her life was perfect until she fought with her friend Valarie who went ahead and told Elijah everything.
Elijah started to hit and berate her but he did it privately; their little girl never knew about it. Whenever her daughter asked about the scar that she couldn't hide, she told her daughter that she tripped. And two years after that the Philip business started to develop problems.
Years passed and it was now the present year 2022. The rain was pouring heavily and splattering all over their window. The sound woke her up, the thunder roared so loud, that she felt like it was happening in her bedroom. She looked at the empty side that her husband was supposed to lie on. She stood up and wore her red, silk robe, she tied it around her flat tummy. She walked out of the room and passed through the living room to enter the kitchen, but he wasn't there.
She went in the direction of the bathroom and raised her hand to knock on the door. "I promise you, I will divorce her. Just give me time." Angela's hand halted. "Rosa, do you think that I don't love you? I love you and I love our unborn baby." Angela covered her mouth, she staggered back. Tears rolled down her cheeks and she used the wall to support herself. She crawled back onto the bed and lay down.
Angela told everything she heard to Elijah's father, she knew that the man won't let anything tarnish the family name. So the old man invited her and Elijah over. He called Elijah to his study room while she and his mother sat in their expensive chairs that are made with the skin of leopards.
She told them that she needed to use the bathroom. Using the opportunity Angela went upstairs and went straight to the study room. She placed her ear 👂 on the door. "I don't care, you better get rid of that lady. If you ever think of divorcing your wife, I will take the medal and the business from you and give it to Finn!" the man sounded angry.
Angela was the most excited person, she thought her life will now be back to normal, but it got worse instead. He now began to hit her in front of her daughter and didn't stay home much.
One night she came to check on her daughter like she always does. She smiled and open the door to leave. "Please don't hurt mummy, I promise not to tell her about you and Rosa." the girl shivered in her sleep. Angela was so angry she felt like killing Elijah the love she had for him, immediately turned into hatred.
