It was a vast and open brown plain. The place was filled with pebbles and big rocks strewn around, making the plain rocky and hard to travel through with land vehicles.

But in some parts of the plain, that weren't filled with rocks and pebbles, some sparse green grasses sprouted from the ground, jutting tall above the earth, a refreshing view in the quite desolate environment.

However, the tall green grasses weren't simply a treat for the tired eyes.

They were also a treat for the hungry stomach as many four-legged herbivore creatures grazed on the sparse grassland, savoring the delicious green delicacy and fulfilling their bodily needs.

At a closer look, one could see that it was a small group of brown spotted elk made of less than a dozen of its kind. They didn't look plump and well-fed as they looked very slim bordering skinny, probably due to the fact that there was only a small amount of grasses around in the rocky region.

It didn't mean that they were weak, however, as their body was full of powerful muscles to adapt to the rocky environment. Whenever they needed it, they could use their powerful muscles to run fast along the rocky ground to escape a predator.

Some of them lay around resting while some of them still casually grazing on the grasses, painting a natural scenery. As the wind breezed toward them, their noses twitched as they smelled something strange and unnatural, different from the smell of the grass or the rocks.

Their ears perked up and moved back and forth, trying to pick up any noise in the surroundings that might tell what and was related to the strange odor. They didn't find anything after a while and perked up their noses again to try to identify the odor.

However, the odor had vanished without any trace as if their senses were simply playing around with them. Since there was nothing wrong, they went back to enjoy their rest and meal again calmly.

At the moment when they relaxed their muscles, suddenly, a ferocious white tiger jumped behind a big rock just around a hundred meters away from the pack of elks and instantly charged at them with maximum speed!

Sensing the danger and seeing the hulking monster approaching them at a breakneck speed, the elks immediately reacted and ran away as fast as possible with their four nimble legs. Thus, the predator and prey chase began along the rocky grassland.

The white tiger was more than two meters tall and more than four meters in length. It had both powerful and muscular forelimbs and hind legs that protruded whenever its feet pushed against the ground.

Compared to the relatively small around one meter tall and two meters long elks, the white tiger limbs' strength easily overpowered theirs, making it able to quickly close the gap between them.

The elks, although not smart, they definitely weren't stupid enough to run together in a single direction as they randomly spread out toward many directions.

This didn't deter the tiger as it kept its eyes to the front, landing its predatory gaze on the slowest and weakest elk that was lagging behind, the eldest one.

After less than a minute of chasing around, the elk seemed to falter a bit as it stepped on a particularly rocky path that made its footing shaky.

Seeing this, the tiger reacted immediately to seize the opportunity as it boosted up its speed, unaffected by the uneven ground, and clamped down its massive claws on its open back.

The tiger's claws easily sunk into the flesh like a hot knife through butter and immediately stopped the elk, holding it down effortlessly with its massive and muscular front paws.

Then, without any mercy, the tiger opened its massive jaw and bit the elk's neck, easily crushing its neck and ending its life in a single moment.

The tiger didn't begin to enjoy his rightfully deserved feast right away. Instead, it looked around and saw that the rest group of the elk had escaped a few hundred meters away or vanished behind the boulders of rock.

However, suddenly, a sharp whistling noise sounded as a long and thin black object flew and pierced through the air. Like a bullet, it swirled and headed toward the running elk.

Helped with the gravity, it swiftly hit and lodged itself into the head of the elk, destroying its brain and claiming its life as it dropped and laid to the ground motionlessly.

The object that pierced the elk's brain was revealed to be two meters long and unassuming black spear.

However, it wasn't the end as the whistling sound came again and a similar spear was seen piercing through the air in a curve as it headed to another elk who had run behind a boulder and stabbed it in its gut, bringing the animal down.

The scenes repeated a few times in the next minute or so until all of the running elks were all pierced by the spears in a radius of one to two kilometers from the previous engagement as the tiger watched on.

Whoever had thrown the spear was definitely a master thrower as they could easily launch many spears repeatedly in a short sequence. And all of the spears hit exactly and terrifyingly on the mark despite the targets being spread apart in many directions and even obstructed by the surrounding objects.

This was especially so since there was no high ground nearby, which meant that the spear-thrower must have thrown the spears without a vision and height advantage.

Even if it turned out it wasn't a single person who had thrown all the spears, it was still incredible for them to be able to pull off such a thing.

However, what if it was indeed a single person?

Then they must be an extremely exceptional spear bearer even based on the tower's standard!

Not only did they have to consider the elks' speed to hit their spears on the mark, but they also had to consider the wind resistance, their throw speed and power, the angle, and many more.

This was why skilled spear-bearers were something hard to find in the tower and to become one, one had to have the inherent talent for spear bearing.

But the spear-thrower had done all of those with such ease to all of the elks!

Without a doubt, they were very talented spear-bearer that could contest again the members of the Khun family themselves, if they weren't one, that was.
