Chapter 41: Chapter 41 - Crisis End and Choice
As Ren was jumping from tree to tree, all he saw around him were Konoha, Oto and Suna ninja fighting and killing each other, and also many corpse of all the sides and as he was leaving this battle zone he thought 'And after this hell, there is another invasion where almost everyone is killed and then thanks to some miracle resurrected and a fucking world war, and I'm still too weak to change anything, maybe its time for a change of plans, I will think about it after this is over'
Soon Ren reached another zone of the forest , and he passed by the corpse of 8 Oto ninja 'This should be the one that followed Sakura and the rest, that were then intercepted by Shikamaru and done in by Azuma'
As he kept moving forward Ren felt that someone was following him but as he took a look at who it was he released a sigh of relief, a hundreds of meter behind Ren was a tall man with his hands in his pocket, he has his eyes obscured by dark glasses which feature a single tassel hanging down from one-side, very spiky short black hair and a moustache, he wears a high collared outfit, while carrying a gourd on his back, he is Shibi Aburame, Shino's father
'Probably some insect told him that Shino was poisoned and now he is going to rescue him, with this timing I think the battle is about to end, probably the "Shinigami" has already eaten Hashirama and Tobirama souls.... better hurry'
And so Ren increased his speed even more and soon reached the battle zone where he soon saw a big dull, rusty-red, toad with brighter red markings around his eyes and on his lips and chest, a scar over his left eye.
He wears a large blue happi vest that has the kanji "ebi" on the back, and a kiseru pipe in mouth, and with his dosu blade he was about to hit a sandy-brown coloured tanuki, with dark blue cursed seal markings all over its face, body, and tail, it has a jagged, concave mouth with no tongue, and the sclerae of its eyes are black, with yellow irides and pupils that each takes the shape of a black four-pointed star with four black dots around it, yes he came just in time to see the first clash between Shukaku and Gamabunta
But while the fighting scene between the two giants was familiar its surroundings were different, for one little particular, Sakura was not pinned by a sand paw into a tree but while she was keeping an eye on the fight, she was with great focus moving over the wounds of a stunned Sasuke, that was focusing only on Naruto's fight, a white ball of healing chakra and Ren from the distance can see the wounds were slowly closing and as Sasuke physical condition improve the cured seal that was taking over his body was also slowly retreating.
'She really does have knack for healing jutsu it was just a month ago that I gave her the book and she is already proficient in the Iyashi no Jutsu (Healing Technique) of course that one is the basic of the basics that only heal superficial wounds but....' Ren's thought was interrupted by a shrill voice that yelled "HAHAHAHA, I'M FINALLY OUT!! HIYAHOOOOO!! AND HERE'S SOMEONE I WANNA KILL RIGHT OFF".
Then the Shukaku pounds on its stomach with its remaining arm, producing a loud sound. The external pressure from the pound forces a ball of wind from Shukaku's large mouth, firing it like a cannonball while saying "Fūton: Renkūdan (Wind Release: Drilling Air Bullet)".
The wind, highly compressed and imbued with chakra, travels in a straight line. It moves quickly across the landscape, tearing up trees and hollowing out the ground, meanwhile Gamabunta jump and while on air creates water in his body using chakra, then spits the water from his mouth as a giant orb-shaped projectiles "Suiton: Teppōdama (Water Release: Gunshot)"
The two attacks explode against each other causing a rain storm in the near area, but Gamabunta didn't notice tha Shukaku did pound his stomach rapidly and so he fired multiple shot and one of these was able to hit Gamabunta right in the face.
As Sakura, Sasuke and Pakkun were focusing on the fight, they were startled when they heard a jovial voice from behind them saying "I think it is time to do something after all the sensei of the Vice-sennin asked me to help however I can..." then Sakura and the other saw the same masked guy in black kimono and Sasuke asked "Who are you??"
But Ren ignored him a focusing on Shukaku he chanted "Walls of iron sand, a priestly pagoda, glowing ironclad fireflies. Standing upright, silent to the end." then he clap his hands and five small yellow orbs with skinny tails emerge from between his clasped hands and move above Ren's head before forming a circle of five, raising his clasped hands above his head, Ren then slams them downward, sending the orbs into the ground while saying "Bakudō #75. Gochūtekkan (Five-Pillared Iron Weights)"
A bright light is generated in the sky above the Shukaku,and five tall and thick pillars, which are connected to each other by chains, pin the him to the ground, then while keeping his position he screamed at Naruto "GO AND HIT HIM! I'M KEEPING HIM STILL"
And so Naruto with his last strength was able to hit Gaara and wake him up and soon the huge figure of the Shukaku crumbled and both Gaara and Naruto fell in to the ground,
Then Ren did a quick sweep with his spiritual sense and seeing that everything was safe now and that the enemies were starting to retreat, and as he did not want to hear another Naruto's brainwashing session, he decided to go away but notice that Sakura was staring intensely at him he put his index finger in front his mouth and soon Shunpoed away.
As he was going back to the stadium, he passed by the hospital and with his spiritual sense he felt a familiar presence surrounded by others hostile ones, curious Ren cast the Bakudō #26. Kyokkō (Bent Light), to turn himself undetectable and went to check the situation, and soon reached one of the single patients room, where in front of the door were the corpses of two Konoha chunin.
Then from across the door he hear a strangely high-pitched voice "So in the end Orochimaru decided to discard me, and my team even after everything we have done and went through for him and his plans..." then Ren heard some other voice that said "It's Orochimaru-sama and he has already other plans for you..." and the hight-pitched voice replied "I won't be his puppet and test subject anymore" and another diverse voice said "You don't have choice..."
And at that moment Ren come out of his hiding spot and saw the figure of Dosu Kinuta still on the bed surrounded by 4 Oto ninja and said "There is always a choice, and my choice is to help him making his."
