Chapter 12: Chapter Twelve:

I sat quietly as Aradia spoke to the other witches of the Order. I felt slightly unnerved. Astor had went for a run. But I knew these women. They would do anything to protect a Dragon-borne. Even killing someone and locking me up. Aradia glances at me with a raised eyebrow. But It had only earned her a glare.

She was reading my thoughts. That was a dirty ability.

'Somethings wrong? I can't reach Aro.' My heart skips a beat. What? Suddenly all of my limbs became stiff. I try to move but my body stiffens.

'One of them used a paralyzing Spell!!'

"You must understand young dragon. As the last of your kind. We must protect the last dragon." I could feel my blood start to boil. Aradia shakes her head as she steps toward me.

"Where.Is.My.Mate?!" It came out as more as a snarl. But I was glad I was still able to talk. Aradia sighs and gives me a sad look.

"He is fine. We just placed a barrier so that he couldn't get back through for a little while." I openly glare at her.

"You can't keep me here!" Aradia frowns.

"We don't plan to. We need some of your blood. More Dragon-Bornes can be made from it." My eyes widen.

'We can't let them do that!' For once I wasn't going to argue with Shade. I wouldn't wish what I was on my worst enemy.

'Shade I'm going to try something and when I do push yourself forward as hard as you can.' Aradia's eyebrows shoot up. She heard what I said to Shade.

Flashes of my parents dead bodies come forward. The fire ignited inside me raising my body temperature and I noticed that my body glowed silver slightly. My whole body felt tingling. Like when your leg falls asleep and you try waking it up. I felt myself smirk then.

"SHADE COME FORTH!" Shadee snarled and it felt like a jolt of electricity shot through my entire body and the burning of the flames left me. There infront of me were my silver Flames in the shape of a young dragon not yet fully grown. Shade Roars and I watch half amused as the witches all went flying.

The spell was broken and I could move again.

I stand and walk next to Shade. Who still stood on the defensive. It was so strange. She was made purely of flames but I could make out every detail of her. Her wings spread out and one was slightly infront of me.

Aradia pulls herself into the sitting position and looks back and forth between Shade and I. She seemed almost shocked.

"No Dragon-Borne in history has been able to do that." I reach out and touch Shade and gasp lightly. The flames re-entered my body and my warmth returned.

"You're not taking my blood to make more Dragon-bornes. Don't you see that if I die there will be no one else who can release that beast?! I'm not letting you burden some innocent girl into this life. Try that again and there WON'T BE AN ORDER!" Aradia bows her head as do the other witches.

I turn on my heels.quickly and make my way outside to the nearest tree line. I don't care if they said Astor was fine. The pit had already formed in my stomache and The need to find him over powered me.

I take off sprinting toward the tree line when I notice copper hair. Tears burned my vision as I push myself faster. I threw myself into his arms and I whimpered as tears fell from my eyes. My body shook for the adrenaline. I clung to him and he squeezes me tightly. He was panting. His face buried in the bend of my neck.

"I was so worried. When I couldn't get to you.." His voice trailed off and he became still. I hiccup and tighten my hold on him wrapping my legs around his waist. He chuckles softly and surprises me by sitting down on the grass. He strokes my hair gently.

"I'm right here little dragon. I'm fine." I nod my head trying to calm my crying fit. Astor reaches up and takes my arms prying them away from his neck. I look at him confused. I blink furiously as his face blurs. He smiles sympathicly and wipes my tears off my cheeks. I just stared at his face. Looking at every inch of it carefully. He was okay.

I inhale a rigid breath and touch his cheek lightly. He closes his eyes and takes my hand away from his face and kisses the inside of my wrist, causing a shiver to run over me.

****ASTOR'S POINT OF VIEW.*****

I stare at my little mate's tear stricken face and my heart breaks. She was smiling now. But her fear still came off her in waves. She has been terrified that something happened me. Whether she realized it or not. She cared about me.

I take her face in my hands again and kiss her eyelids. She sighs peacefully. Causing me to smile. I loved this woman. She was so fierce and caring. She was a bad ass all by herself but she was opening herself up to me and for that I would be eternally grateful.

The moon goddess had sent me an amazing woman...I press my forehead against hers sending her calming and comforting thoughts. She would be able to feel them through our bond.

"I've never been so scared in my life." I rub my thumb along her jawline. She leaned into my touch and I smiled bigger this time.

"I'll never leave you Freya." She surprises me by pressing her lips against mine softly. I was shocked at first..but, she didn't back away. A low growl rumbles through my chest as I kiss her back. I need to be gentle.

The kiss didn't last as long as I liked but I didn't want to push her. I pull away and look at her. She was blushing. I smirk. She was so cute. I wrap my arms around her and tuck her head underneath my chin. She inhales several deep breaths and sighs.

"Come to my kingdom with me." She stiffens slightly.
