Chapter 14: Chapter Fourteen: Freya's Point Of View.
I groan softly as the bedroom door opens and I hear Selene's snicker. I peel my eyes open realizing that one I am very sore. Two I am VERY naked and in Astor's bed. I cling to the sheet and pull myself into the sitting position. I wince. I was really really sore. Selene was clearly amused.
"Good Morning Luna." I raise an eyebrow at her curiously and then it dawned on me. Astor marked me last night. No wonder my shoulder Blade was sore. But her comment still earned her a glare.
"What is it?" Selene shakes her head and walks closer.
"Well since I heard what happened last night. I wanted to see if you needed any help getting around to the shower. It'll help with the soreness. Well atleast a hot bath." I smile at her but my face was on fire.
"Sure if you'll run the water I'll be there in a minute." I groan as soon as Selene is out of the room and roll my shoulders. I shriek as the door bursts open and the twins stumble in. I arch an eyebrow at them. Both their eyes widen as they take in my state. Gemini smirks and nudges Jade.
"Did you get a good look then?" A deep chuckle draws my attention. My head snaps to the door and Astor stood there staring at me. My ears burn slightly and sigh with a small smile.
"The bath is re-eady" Selene takes in the whole room then glares at the twins. With lightening speed she snatches both girls by the collar and drags them from the room. Astor chuckles again and closes the door behind them.
He smiles gently at me. I arch an eyebrow at him.
"Come here little dragon." I gasp as Astor grabs me from under the sheets and lifts me into his arms. My face blazed as he carries me to the bathroom. I arch an eyebrow at him as he carefully lowers me into the steaming bubble bath. I let out a long sigh as the warm water surrounds me. I watch Astor curiously as he walks over to the sink and digs in a drawer for a moment and comes back bending down behind the tub.
"Lean forward little love." Confused I does as he asks and my heart swoons as I feel him gathering my hair and tugging it into the ponytail as gently as he can. I could feel a smile form on my already flushed cheeks. Astor's lips graze his mark on my shoulder Blade causing me to shiver. Astor chuckles softly.
"Just relax. I'm going to speak to Maddox and I'm leaving a couple of my man here as well. Then we can go." Go? Go where?
'To see luca.' My eyes widen and I gasp a little surprised as I hear Astor's voice loud and clear in my head. Without thinking I turn to him fast causing the water to splash around.
"How's that possible?!" Astor gives me a curious smile.
"We are fully mated. With that completed. We have our own private mind link." I smile brightly. That's amazing. Astor chuckles and kisses my forehead before standing up.
*****ASTOR'S POINT OF VIEW*****
I let out a frustrated growl as I leave Freya in the tub. I'm sure her underlings could have helped her get into the tub. But it was just an excuse to have her in my arms. I had to go for a run this morning while she was still sleeping because if I didn't I was going to attack her again.
'Mate NEEDS rest!' I roll my eyes at Aro. Sometimes he was unbearable. His overprotectivness of her was stronger than mine. And that was saying something because we were one and the same.
"Alpha! You need to come and see this!" I turn to my Beta Damien. His eyes were black..his wolf Midnight was pushing forward because his eyes were normally a dark brown color. His skin showed is Indian descent. His raven colored hair was long enough for a braid. We were the same height and build.
"What's wrong?" Damien growls and rushes back outside. I follow behind. Aro pushes forward as the wind rushes around us.
'Blood. And it's fresh.' I let out a snarl and pick up my pace. This wasn't going to be good.
Damien led me to the ward line and passed it. A deep growl erupts from me as I take in The Grand Master who lay on the ground eyes wide open, mouth parted, and his throat was slit.
Freya would freak out if she saw this.
"Damien. Clean him up. Close his eyes. Make sure that you check the surrounding area carefully. Whoever did this probably isn't that far behind. Or they left something behind." Damien nods and picks up his lifeless body with ease and begins carrying him back to the Temple.
"Make sure your Luna doesn't see him before he is cleaned up."
"Yes, Alpha." I glance around the area and inhale deeply. Sulfur? Why would Maddox come out here alone? I frown and step around the area where his blood had dried. It was definitely sulfur. But Demons usually left behind some kind of mark. They loved tormenting knowing no one would be able to stop them.
I growl. This was a taunt at Freya. That much I did know. They were playing with fire and I'd kill them all.
I mentally search out for Freya's emotions. I felt a smile tug at my lips as the first emotion that I felt was happiness. It washed over me and calmed myself and Aro.
'She's happy.' I chuckle alittle at the softness in Aro's tone. One I didn't even hear when we were mated to Amelia.
'It's different with Freya..almost as if I've waited a thousand years and my spirit is at ease now.' I ponder Aro's statement. He wasn't wrong.
It was true. The wholeness I feel when I look at Freya...The completeness of it all. It was stronger than any regular Mate Bond.
A new emotion washes over me and I'm not completely sure if it's my own or Freya's. But it was Hope....
