Synopsis
Yan Xi, a medical prodigy who obtained a doctorate at the age of 22, never expected to end up transmigrating into a novel. Her husband was the female lead's fourth brother, Gu Shen. He was a bigshot in the business world who had suffered from disability from a young age and could only move in a wheelchair. However, he was a handsome man full of schemes. She took this money and eloped with Zhang Ming. After that, Zhang Ming planned for a car accident that ended her life as they hit the road, which allowed Zhang Ming to conveniently take her money and run far away. When she transmigrated over, Yan Xi found out that she had just stabbed herself with a knife and was in the critical stage of deciding her future fate! Therefore, when Gu Shen threw her the divorce agreement, Yan Xi decisively refused. "Hubby, I won't divorce you." Gu Shen was surprised by her change. "Have you thought it through? I've left you some real estate and cash. It's enough for you to live comfortably for the rest of your life." Yan Xi revealed a confident smile. "I've thought it through. Zhang Ming stabbed your men with a knife. You should hand this matter over to the law. I won't interfere anymore." The surprise that Yan Xi's change brought to Gu Shen did not end there. After that, she tore off the mask of her hypocritical best friend and calmly dealt with her scheming family members. She personally treated Gu Shen's chronic illness for many years. The writing quality in grammar is good. The world building is good. I'm 25 chapters in and I have high hopes for this story so far. The female lead is smart and scheming but she's not a bad person. she doesn't actively seek out to destroy or manipulate people she just mostly wants to live a good life and she's trying to fix the mistakes the previous host has made in order for her life to go more smoothly. The male lead seems to have a cold CEO persona but he doesn't treat the female lead badly at all in spite of all of the hosts previous actions, he's actually quite respectful of her considering. And the author introduces us to his gentle side very quickly. although he is suspicious of the female lead in a change the author lets us see that there is already great potential for him to easily fall deeply in love with her and also lets us see that he is open to romance And isn't the kind of person who would torture the female lead or force himself on the female lead in any way. The female leads family is a great foil. they're the stereotypical abusive rich family and I'm going to enjoy seeing their faces get slapped. I'm also looking forward to possibly seeing the male leads families faces get slapped. It makes me wonder if the female lead in this story, not our female lead but the female lead of the book the star of our story transmigrates into It's going to end up being the main villain of our story lol

So the story was interesting UNTIL the abrupt ending. Why are some stories finishing with such incomplete ending?? The MC and ML are overall likeable. The writing quality isn't bad. But I really find the ending much to be desired and feels like there was developments that was never progressed? Here's the issue: Certain characters were just "forgotten" or there was no wrap up on them? Examples are the so called world's original FL & ML. No quick overview on what happened to them? Or what about the doctor's mom? She got sort of introduced in a way that made it seem she may play a bigger picture in the future but nothing?? There was no clarification on what was done to the "villain" who wanted to interfere with the surgery as well on HOW did this villain KNOW about who was involved in the procedure since there was supposed to be just TWO people who knew?? Not even the husband knew (suspected something but didn't know?) of the surgeon involved! The heck? And what of the grandfather? He just disappeared and never appeared after the attack? There was also no writing on what the husband's reaction after the surgery with the surgeon and such?? It was just this time skip! And lastly, what is up with the alternate dimension thing? It was like it was just thrown in but nothing detailed out? What happened to her so called master? Was he or wasn't he a good person since he was involved in the project? There are more questions on this but I won't bother asking. Things that would be nice to have been clarified completely flopped the ending for me ๐คทโโ๏ธ

The progress of the story was fine in the beginning, but somehow the ending felt rushed and unfinished๐. Itโs still a happy ending though. ๐

== impression after 40 chapters == A doctor transmigrate into a novel as a supporting character, Yan Xi. Yan Xi is in a marriage with Gu Shen, a cripple man. Yan Xi doesn't treat Gu Shen with respect and would berate and embarrass him publicly. The transmigrator knows that Yan Xi will die in the novel after divorcing the male lead. She takes over the body right before asking for the divorce in the original novel, so instead of divorcing, she tries to make up for the old mistakes of Yan Xi. (All of this makes up the first set of chapters. While the rest is seeing the transmigrated Yan Xi set forth in her plan of helping Gu Chen and improving her image) The believability of the novel and set up is commendable. Yan Xi is still flawed (old and new). She has to fix the past mistakes that the previous Yan Xi has made. Even though she's a doctor, she doesn't on the spot have a cure and plan in motion to cure this long term disability that the male lead has. She gets some face slapping in by herself but she gets slapped as well. Yan Xi also knows how to use her charms to get the help of the male lead. The progression of the story moves in a smooth way. The male lead, Gu Chen, is still suspicious of Yan Xi as her change is too sudden. Though he is still cautious, he can't help but give Yan Xi attention and help her when she needs it. He proves it that though he is wheelchair bound, he is strong willed to succeed in the business world. Gu Chen won't let anyone bully Yan Xi unless it is him. I really enjoy this even with the cliche tropes: wheelchair bound male lead, transmigration, horrible female lead personality that gets changed, etc. The writer took these ideas and made it into their own story. I'll look forward to the rest of this when it gets picked up!

This story is worth reading. I don't why the male lead easily forgive the female lead. Even though the soul inside was changed but the original host of the body did horrible things. Maybe she really loves the original host or the writer just made it like that just for the story to proceed ๐คฃ
