Chapter 5: New beginnings.

(With Fū and Torune)
"What are you doing?" Torune questioned Fū, watching as the latter used medical ninjutsu on his-self.
"Healing my mouth, it got burnt when I used Boil Release." Fū responded with a slight sigh.
"I'm surprised you actually used that, considering you weren't born with the Kekkei Genkai in the first place." Torune slightly inquired
"Yeah, I only managed to keep my mouth intact by coating it with Water-Based Chakra before I used the damn Jutsu. It could only do so much though." Fū mumbled
"I see, well that's what happens when you recreate a Kekkei Genkai that you haven't trained for a while~" teased Torune while dodging a few Kunai that Fū threw at him.
"It's better to expand our arsenal then to only use the same Jutsu's over-and-over again, eventually someone will learn how to counter it." Fū retorted.
"That's if, we leave whoever sees it alive." Torune argued.
"Like we'll be able to kill everyone we see, I doubt we could take on a Familia by ourselves." Fū sarcastically waved his arms around.
"Tch, fine - say we do try to recreate Kekkei Genkai, which ones do you think would be the best?" Torune asked
"It depends, since I only have Fire, Water, Yin, and Yang Release; I will most likely not be able to recreate most of them." Fū responded while thinking of the Kekkei Genkai's and what Nature Transformations made them up. Years before they had been killed, Danzo had showed them this information in hopes that they -or anyone within Root- could recreate any type of Kekkei Genkai, none had been successful though.
"I wonder what I could recreate since I only have Earth, Lightning, and Yang Release." Torune brought a gloved-hand to his chin in thought.

The two sat around a small fire, located in a forested area, debating on the types of Kekkei Genkai's and the Chakra Natures that made them up. Until Fū -who's a natural born sensor- picked up something approaching him and Torune, fast.
"Torune!" He loudly whispered, the tone of his voice alerting Torune of the upcoming situation.
Both drawing their Tantōs, and stealthy hiding them within their cloaks for easy access. They jumped into the surrounding trees, blending within the natural darkness that permeated around their current surroundings.
Minutes later, a figure clad in the same Anbu attire as Fū and Torune appeared. The only difference being in the style of his Porcelain mask, It was in the shape of a bird with red blood-like design's flowing from its eyes. Giving it a gruesome appearance.
The man stared at the crudely put out fire as small spouts of white smoke still lifted from it; flowing out and disappearing into the sky.
"So, they knew I was coming? I wonder just who they are." The figure spoke quietly. However, underneath his mask, his pure white eyes sharpened and veins located on his temple, bulged.
Peering into his surroundings the man easily discerned the outlines of the two hiding men, along with their shadow clones.
Just as he was about to move, the clones of the two men vanished, and two objects were placed dangerously around different areas of his body, one located just under his mask on the soft skin of his throat, the other in the was centered in the middle of his stomach.
He didn't need to look at the objects or the people wielding them; due to his active Byakugan, so he spoke slowly and quietly.
"It's been a while hasn't it Torune, Fū?" His disarming voice rang out.
"Who are you?" Fū's clone asked from behind, pressing his blade further into the man's throat as he talked, showing his willingness to kill.
"Can I take off my mask?" The man asked, tilting his head slightly away from the Tantō at his throat.
"Do it slowly, any unnecessary movements will get you killed." Torune's clone spoke from his stance in front of The man, if he made any quick movements; he would disembowel him immediately.
Raising his hands up, he slowly removed his mask; allowing his long blackish-red hair to flow out. He also turned slightly; showing the real Torune and Fū his full face.
"Hoashi Kohinata….." The real Torune spoke while his clone removed his Tantō from the man's stomach, "It has been a while." Fū finished.

Hoashi Kohinata came from a family that had separated themselves from the Hyūga's generations before he was born.
(Final character I swear, just wanted a 'True Sensor' that wasn't Fū or Torune)
At first - his family was forced to adorn Caged-Bird seals due to them having a high chance of being born with the Byakugan. However over the years of marriages; causing their Hyūga blood to become diluted, the Hyūga's no longer cared about what the family did, since the Kohinata's had a slim to none chance of awakening a Byakugan.
It was thought that the Kohinata's stopped awakening the Byakugan after 4 generations of 'breeding'. That theory was soon changed when Mukai Kohinata, a former Jonin and Anbu member of the Leaf, turned traitor.
Nobody new that he had manifested the Byakugan in one eye; since he could willingly turn it on and off, but the Leaf knew he was skilled; So Danzo sent a young Itachi Uchiha and Shisui Uchiha to either kill and bring his body back.
Mukai would have beaten Itachi and Shisui, matter of fact he did. He was only brought down when Shisui Uchiha put him in a Mangekyō Sharingan induced Genjustsu, forcing Mukai to activate a pre-planted suicide technique, so that he wouldn't be captured.
Upon his death, Mukai's family -which he left at the village- was covertly killed. Well, everyone besides his sick son who Danzo took in.
That was Hoashi Kohinata. His illness was cured, and he was raised in the Root along side Fū and Torune. Even after he was told what fate had befallen his father; he was still loyal to Danzo and the Leaf, pledging himself to their service, as long as he lived.
Danzo being pleased by this; strived to benefit from having Hoashi in his care, therefore he reached out to Orochimaru, and after years of gruesome experiments; The Byakugan was finally manifested within Hoashi, similarly to that of a pure-breed Hyūga. (Both eyes)
There was side effects to allowing Orochimaru to experiment on him though, which was that he would do anything to achieve what his goal was; meaning each experiment grew more gruesome then the last.
Since Danzo asked Orochimaru to create 'The Perfect Sensor' Orochimaru did more life-threatening experiments, trying to recreate an ability that he had witnessed before, in Hoashi.
After completely reworking Hoashi's Chakra network and how they flow, along with injecting him with the cell's and blood of a then young Karin Uzumaki.
Hoashi was granted the top tier sensing ability called the 'Minds Eye of the Kagura', along with the minor ability of 'Heal Bite'. Which allowed people to heal themselves upon biting into his skin.
Hell, he practically became the young Uzumaki girl but with a pair of Byakugan; Since his vitality was boosted to an extremely high level, which was comparable to that of a Uzumaki or even a Senju.
Though, these ability's effectively removed the opportunity for him to use any other Offensive Chakra-based techniques. - (Ex: Fire Style) - With the minimal amounts of unused Chakra he had remaining however, Hoashi learned how to coat his blades in pure Chakra; eventually becoming skilled within the art of Kenjutsu. Paired with the Byakugan, he quickly became one of the deadliest members of Root.
Spending the rest of his years adjusting to the rare and unique ability that is the 'Minds Eye of the Kagura'. Hoashi trained it to a point were he could effectively track someones Chakra from over half a country away.
(Ability is a damn cheat)
However, his end would come at the hands of 'Madara Uchiha' when the swirl masked man killed him, along with his own personal unit of Root members as they searched for The Akatsukis' hideout.
(Hoashi is a OC, however Mukai is a legitimate person and everything I said about him was true, aside from Danzo killing his family -that might be true-!)
