Chapter 78: True Monster
After waiting for a while
Thirteen's ear twitched and he turned his head to the sky. Chopper looked over to see a man flying over with a giant bird.
The man stopped above the ship and sneered "So there's only two left, good for me." he waved his lance in the air and pierced towards Chopper, swooping down on his bird, ignoring Thirteen entirely.
Very poor decision.
As he was about to touch Chopper a leg entered his vision and kicked him flying across the sky.
Thirteen grabbed the bird and slammed it head first into the Merry's deck. He stomped on the bird and it squawked hatefully, opening its mouth. Thirteen looked at it as flames bursted from the bird's throat.
Thirteen kicked the bird's beak, sending the flames into the air.
The bird tried to turn back and Thirteen grabbed it's neck before crushing it. The bird squawked as something broke inside, Thirteen looked at the bird as it slumped lifelessly to the ground.
He looked at the bird before tilting backwards as a lance was thrusted where his head just was.
The man landed in front of Thirteen and glared at him hatefully, growling "You killed him! You killed Fuza!" the lance turned bright orange and burned a hole in the deck as the man shouted "YOU KILLED MY FRIEND!" thrusting the lance at Thirteen, who looked at the hole in the deck while dodging.
Thirteen dodged the lance thrusts easily before slowly looking back at the man. His eyes were empty, unsettling the man. Thirteen grabbed the lance and ignored the heat as he slowly crushed it, his eyes glowing unnaturally.
Thirteen crushed the tip of the lance to bits as he said "You. Hurt. Merry."
The man was confused and Thirteen disappeared, reappearing behind the man like a ghost and roundhouse kicking the man in the back of the head, smashing him into the deck before stomping on his back.
Thirteen grabbed the man's wings and said emotionlessly "Suffer." as he slowly pulled on the wings, making the man screech in pain. The wings were slowly being ripped from his body and he felt excruciating pain, he screamed until his voice turned raspy.
Chopper watched in horror, backing away as he didn't like this. He looked at Thirteen as if he was looking at a real monster. He was angry at the man too but this… This was too much! This is torture!
Thirteen stared at the man with empty eyes, making the experience as painful as possible. The wings came off and Thirteen grabbed the man by the neck, he walked to the side of the ship and smashed the man's face into the altar stone.
He pulled back and his arm bulged as he did it again, and again, and again.
The man's face was barely recognizable, he had fainted a long time ago.
Thirteen looked at the man and threw him into the Cloud Sea around the altar, letting him fall to the Blue Sea below.
He looked at the wings in his hand before throwing them into the Clouds as well, when he turned around he was back to normal.
However, he saw Chopper back away from him, looking terrified.
Thirteen tilted his head and Chopper gulped, saying "Who a-are you?" Thirteen was confused and pointed at himself, Chopper shook his head and pointed at the blood on the wall, asking "Who was that!?"
Thirteen looked at the blood and pointed at himself again, not understanding what Chopper was trying to say. Chopper understood that Thirteen wasn't getting what he was trying to say.
He took a deep breath and said "Why did you do that to him?" Thirteen was still confused and pointed at the hole in the Merry's deck that had charred borders. Chopper fell silent and bit on his hoof, thinking to himself.
Thirteen walked over and sat on the dead bird, looking out in the distance as White sat on the bird tapping his feet on the air, seemingly bored.
He didn't understand the concept of torture. He was just a rabbit.
Chopper walked over and said "Can you… um… never do that again?" Thirteen looked at Chopper and tilted his head, Chopper tapped his hooves together and said "That was really scary."
Thirteen looked back to the distance and nodded slightly, Chopper smiled slightly and sat down on the deck, still a bit scared.
He didn't expect any of that to happen and he definitely hoped it wouldn't happen again. It was a scary experience for the little reindeer, he imagined that happening to him and shuddered.
As Chopper thought to himself, Thirteen looked out to the distance and waiting patiently for the crew to come back from exploring.
